You cannot trust anything that claims to be God speaking. Scripture thoroughly equips us.So God is limited to the scriptures? Seems to me, God is not limited to simply words in a book.....

“And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” (2 Timothy 3:15–17)
He convicts us of sin. And rewards us with joy when we make the right call. But he is not an on board GPS telling you to turn right at the next corner.Sure....personal revelation should never contradict scripture - i get that. But...
God often speaks to us personally - information that applies to our lives - never meant to be taught to others

Yes, God does personal revelation, but it does not add anything ever to the bible.
That makes it more complicated by introducing misunderstanding into the discussion.Only if you choose to mistake it for public revelation
While God obviously cannot be limited in any way, He has given us His written Word to reveal Himself and His Christ to mankind and to His children, and to be the basis upon which we govern our thoughts and ourselves. Mysticism is NOT the norm, and can often be misleading.Seems to me, God is not limited to simply words in a book.....

I would go a bit further...While God obviously cannot be limited in any way, He has given us His written Word to reveal Himself and His Christ to mankind and to His children, and to be the basis upon which we govern our thoughts and ourselves. Mysticism is NOT the norm, and can often be misleading.
How do we do this? Do what love would do, and we've heard God's voice far deeper than words can convey.Yet we have to make multiple decisions, moment by moment
