I found this on another Christian site.

I will first attempt to show the one who holds teh heresy why biblically they are wrong, then if it is serious enough, I will report it to teh mods to fulfill Matt. 18. Not to condemn or get them thrown off, but to hopefully bring reconcilliation as is the command of Matthew 18.

Define trustworthy.
Odds are good that you have a book about Christianity that does not have the name of God the Father or God the Son in it.
I am not only going to ask if that is aright by you but also...who would want to take the names of God the Father and God the Son out of scriptures? The rest I explained to you....whatever you believe is your business, but how can you say they are consistent without those names? How can you say they are consistent if you do not compare them to the scriptures.

It's your opinion VS the Bible.

LOL Do you have a Bible that has the words Yeshua or Yahweh or the actuals names of Jerusalem, John, Job, Jericho, Joshua....etc. It is a historical fact that the Letter J did not come into use for 1400 years after Christ's ministry. Religion is about beliefs if you like fantasy I recommend the Lord of the Rings.

Just because you can find a link of someone who also attacks the Bible is not proof. Lots of people HATE our Christian Bible. I'm sure you can find MILLIONS or more of Bible haters who agree with you. That doesn't prove you're qualified to rewrite our Bible.

For $29.95 you can have the incredible, the stupendous Strong's Exhaustive Concordance. Great book for the money, 96% accurate and easy to read and understand. It is a reference for the King James Version of the Bible and you can look at the pronunciation of Persons, places, and things that start with a J in your Bible.

Okay so I wasn’t questioning “what a heresy is” but more of a point of this topic.

If we discuss the screenshot in the OP then we first need to ask “are we being heavy-handed with reporting?”
Then we also need to discuss who are we going to report things to - like you asked. I assume forum moderators.
Then we also need to discuss “what is a heresy”.

So I don’t know what the point is basically.

Too much KNOWLEDGE and not enough JESUS.
In my year here... I have come to realize that many Christians simply like to puff themselves up... argue and cause strife about EVERYTHING.... it's all about PRIDE.

Take your bible... ( which ever translation you like best )...read it... apply it to your life... and you are good to go. Don't let the would-be scholars fish you into their stew of STRIFE.

Well you have it partially right.
God the Father, Yahweh is a God. God the Son Yeshua, is a God, and God the Holy Spirit is a God.

The good thing about knowing the truth about the Bible is that you can pick up any translation and read them knowing the Truth.

Truth is not an attack on the Bible. But the Apostle Paul knew that telling the truth can get you in trouble. If you are not looking for truth, what are you looking for? Paul had no interest in speaking lies to conform to popular norms. I was born without a fear bone, I have no problems with wading through trouble.

The truth will set you free. It does not matter if it is the popular beliefs of the Trinity, original sin, or the man-made sins. Everything I have said can be verified... The rest is up to you.

When someone tells you not to believe them, go look it up for yourself, then you know they are not trying to pull the wool over your eyes. Look it up or not...your choice.

Attack? LOL I am standing up for the actual scriptures. And you can look at most of them yourself...you just have to care enough to do it.

Everyone is growing at different levels of understanding.
It is those with more ummm.... experience, to be more patient and more kind and more understanding, towards those who are learning.

Can you imagine a kindergarten teacher putting a child in a corner because they aren't up to speed like the rest of the class?
And there are a lot of teachers and a lot of students.
And not every student is proficient in every class.

I say , good luck with that, because no one has the right to silence another's opinion or understanding.
You can share your point of view or (truth) you can move along and ignore, or you can argue till the cows come home.

This is what we call Freedom of Speech. And so far we're holding on to it by a thread.
Not everyone will always agree with every doctrine.

Let's at least try to agree on the foundation.

I know you feel responsible and a defender of truth.
I hear it and it sounds sincere.
But in all of your sincerity, find mercy and kindness.
And through gentleness and meekness will will come to all the truth and knowledge together.

Putting people in a corner just stunts their ability to grow with Grace.

Well they have their freedom of speech as do I! they can present a heresy through ignorance or immaturity, and it is up to the mature as is commanded in Galatians to show them why they are wrong.

I personally abhor reporting people. I prefer to discuss, even intensely and a little heatedly to tryt o show them the error. But at a point I feel God telling me, I will e3nd it as it becomes futile to try to convince them further. Then I just commit them to prayer in the hopes god will open their eyes.
