I'm cleaning out the cabinets and getting ready to make some dry mixes from Little House Living.

I'm feeling done with processed food but I also don't want to put in a lot of effort, so dry mixes it is.

Also if you are an ingredient family, please share your favorite DIY snacks for kids... I could really use the help and I feel like they will get tired of muffins. hlf

We're an ingredient family with convenience food and very few snacks.
Same here. I'm trying to change it though, not just for health reasons, but because I have guilt. I am starting to feel wasteful and so much better can be done. One convenience day can cost $60 or more here for a family of four, for very little, very easily.

And a day full of eggs and pancakes, potatoes, veggies from the garden, a roast that was divided up, cornbread muffins, and popcorn for snacks- AND kale chips made from the garden can end up being less than half that.

It's just me getting on it and that's sometimes hard to do.

It has taken me all day to just go down and make raisin cinnamon swirl bread. It takes 20-30 minutes and I probably won't actually do it until tomorrow.
