Egypt--12 Killed and a Church was gutted in Religious Riots
Seven Coptic Christians and five Muslims were killed during religious riots in Cairo on May 7-8. More than 230 people were injured and a church was burnt to the ground. The violence broke out after hard-line Muslims claimed the Church was holding a woman against her will. Thousands of Muslims descended on the area around the church. The attackers started throwing firebombs.
Lord,
We ask for a banding together of the Egyptian Christians in nation-wide Revival.
Lord, bind the opposition and give the Christians protection.
Defend all Christians from violent Muslims. Give them great Grace to witness and testify and open doors for them to spread the Gospel in the Muslim communities.
Lord, thank You for hearing and answering these prayers and giving great Boldness to Egyptian Christians to sow the seeds of Revival in Egypt.
