Jude devotes his entire letter to the presence of they whom the Lord will reject and who are perfectly happy within the church setting at this present time. As in..not all who say Lord, Lord. They rejoice in the Lord as the other brethren do.

So we ought to not be high minded but fear.

Let us be wise and depart from iniquity and all that is displeasing to God.

For they have gone in the way of Cain, have run greedily in the error of Balaam for profit, and perished in the rebellion of Korah.

Curious to hear how members here apply the 'rebellion of Korah' to Christians..

Peace be with you!

I have read this book years ago, and just now now finding more context, I will be in prayer about the above.

For those who don't know, the rebellion of Korah can be found in Numbers 16

and held an assembly against Moses and Aaron, to whom they said, "Enough from you! The whole community, all of them, are holy; the LORD is in their midst. Why then should you set yourselves over the LORD'S congregation?"

Peace!

Amen, I find that, if only Christians would follow that straight and narrow path to keep his commandments, and follow the Apostles doctrine.

Indeed, such as this: Obey your leaders and defer to them, for they keep watch over you and will have to give an account, that they may fulfill their task with joy and not with sorrow, for that would be of no advantage to you.

I would suggest that the rebellion of Korah goes hand in hand with:
'we will not have this man rule over us'

And is this not also Satan's rebellion?

Peace!

Yes. One then needs to just be sure that the authority is by anointing of the Spirit and not just the selection of men.

But there are many who will not submit to anyone....thinking of themselves as the equal of any or all men. This goes against the admonition to esteem others as higher than yourself...and as you so wisely said...the rebellion of Korah was just this unsubmitted attitude which has become very prevalent in the modern church culture...especially in the independent churches. These take an idea...but then take it too far. How very human.

Indeed. And from the beginning of the Church, this annointing has been given through the laying on of hands by those with the authority to do so...

Peace!

Yes, even so, men and women are falling into this rebellion, instead of repentance from dead works of pleasing themselves.
