I'm going to share a few scriptures on repentance. Acts 5:31

31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

Acts 11:18

18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

Acts 20:21

21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

The greek word for repentance in these verses is metanoia and means:

change of mind, repentance

Usage: repentance, a change of mind, change in the inner man.

Notice also in Acts 5 and Acts 11 the God is said to give or grant this repentance. This repentance towards God is something man doesn't have naturally, it must be furnished by God. Its Gods Gift to His Chosen People.

Agree with overall point.
Disagree: Repentance has to Firstly be About a "change of MIND".

• Points;
* It is From the thought of the Natural Heart, a Confession is Made and Heard "by God" (NOT the Mind.)

* A man's "natural spirit", IS a man's "natural truth, in his heart", NOT his mind.

* Once a natural heart, Repents and Confesses True Belief, his Soul is Immediatly Saved.

* Once a Soul is Saved, his "natural Truth/spirit", In his Heart is Supernaturally Circumcised (cut off), and he is given A NEW Heart, A new SEED (the SEED of God), and that new SEED, Births a man a NEW spirit, (a new Truth), Gods Supernatural Truth.
And THERE that SEED of God GROWS and Developes.

* The growing...is fostered, Developed...By the man, continuing to Hear and Read the Scriptures.
* The Developing...IS a Gift of God, changing Into WISDOM, to UNDERSTAND the The Word of God, according TO How God Understands His OWN Word/ Knowledge.
* This is a great Gift ... Changing a man, From his "guesswork of understanding and mindful interpretation" of Gods Word...to having full Access to Gods Spiritual Understanding...Accomplished BY the "Internal Power (Holy Spirit) of God.
* We HEAR, READ, STUDY, Gods Word...putting forth our own Genuine Effort...and He is Spiritually within us TO give us His True Meaing / His interpretation/ His Understanding of His Word.
* We being Diligent...Asking...He IS Faithful.

Remember He said "ask and you shall receive"?
He wasn't talking about, TV's, win the lotto-
He was talking about "Asking For His Understanding of His Word"...
* His Understanding IS Comforting ...and for That, we are continuously THANKFUL, and tell Him.

The Natural Carnal MIND IS AGAINST God. (Rom 8:7)
(That IS for MAN to address).

How to address the Carnal Mind?
God doesn't do that "For us".

God gives us "His Power (HS) for US to use His Power TO, Overpower our Carnal Mind, with the Thoughts of Our "new Born Again Spirit IN our new Hearts".

In essence; when our Carnal Minds, comes up with...sounds good, or Sneaky, Wicked, Underhanded ideas... We have a Super-POWER spirit in our Hearts...to Supersede...overpower the thoughts of our Carnal Minds WITH our hearts thoughts.

* The More we Practice THAT ^, the Wiser we become, the Wiser we become, The More we Become, HAVING a "Mind LIKE Christ".

* That IS MADE Possible Because...
Greater is He that is IN you, than he THAT is in the world.

God Bless,

31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

29 Peter and the other apostles replied: “We must obey God rather than human beings! 30 The God of our ancestors raised Jesus from the dead—whom you killed by hanging him on a cross. 31 God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Savior that he might bring Israel to repentance and forgive their sins. 32 We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.”

Yawn, looks like the typical cherry-picking to push a certain interpretation that isn't there if the verses are read in context.

And who are those who are brought to repentance?
The point of the passage has nothing to do with repentance being granted to only certain people. Did Israel come to repentance? For the most part, no! And in the same verses, we are told who God's spirit is given to: whom God has given to those who obey him.”

The point of the passage is that the gospel must advance, and the apostles were not going to stop spreading it just because they were persecuted.

A gift must be received if you are going to have it; and therefore it can also be rejected.

Repentance is a choice made by man.

I dont agree with that. Scripture says plainly He gives repentance !

Hi.
Yes God Gives Repentance/ Forgiveness "FOR Sins"

Consider...What Sin IS.
Consider...WHO you ARE.

Hebrew? Israel (one of the 12 Tribes)? Or Gentile?

Hebrew- Israel? Sin Was...any act Contrary to Their Law.

Their Law WAS Fulfilled...BY Jesus.
A Fulfilled Law, No longer has "Negative Consequences".
A Negative Consequence- WAS also "written" within their Law, (called Curse Law), (what we call Penal Law), Meaning The Punishment for Violating the (positive) Law.
Once their Positive Law (arrival of their Messiah, who took upon Himself the Sins (All the Curse Laws) of the World...there were No Curse Laws Remaining For ISRAEL to BE subject to Those Curse Law Punishments.

This is error.

Are you saying my post # 323 "entirely" according to you is in "error"?

If not, Please post "exactly" which "point" you disagree with.

Thanks,
Taken

Okay, I will leave it at that, a surface statement.

Surface statement Yes...the Top Beginning EXPRESS Statement. And nothing following that Opening Statement contradicted that Opening Statement.
