@Mayflower I'll be heading off to bed. It is 10:13 PM here. I hope you have a good night, sister. :)
Welcome to Christian Forums, a Christian Forum that recognizes that all Christians are a work in progress.
You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.
We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!
I did like your last post, Mayflower, but would you write when you have time about why Hope does not believe in God? Since she is sitting next to Jacob. I believe you have something in mind for how Hope comes to believe in Jesus Christ and so I do not want to spoil that "Hallmark" moment you want to write, regarding your character, but I thought you would build that background for why she does not believe in God before you lead into the Hallmark moment later on in the story.
@Mayflower Also.. if it is not too much trouble to edit your last post.. it is Casey's Game Boy that Sherwin wants to play with in the tent, not Hope's.
@Mayflower I can make it so that every body that is a christian at that group calls every one brothers or sisters as spiritual relatives for how Colby can be calling Rick his brother even though Colby himself lives with the homeless at the theater when Rick lives in a normal home for Casey to be running by.
@Mayflower I can explain Rick's lack of maturity as a christian because although he is a believer, he would rather live now than follow Christ later. So his sowing to the flesh shows in his behavior, obviously.

Lol. I am winging this. I have mever been good at the hallmark moments in getting characters out of the pit either. So I am really liking campfire style for this. Because I really want my writing to glorify God. I want to finish stories. Not just stop in the middle, bwcause I can't get out. Think y'all could help me? I will edit this and think about her story. Basically, Hope always felt she was obligated to believe as the pastor's daughter. Though she felt called when she was younger, when she was old enough to understand her sin and the need for salvation, one of her older friends had passed unbelieving. It was hard for her to accept. And hard for her to accept her dad's death. She doesn't want to face her friend having gone to Hell for unbelief.
Sure thing! Typo.
Sure that sounds good. What do ya'll think of it being like a gang? It would be a good for the revival theme. :)
Definitely so. The pastor of my church came to know Christ long before he even stopped laughing about even being in a church setting. He was into drugs and everything and now God has set him free from all of that and he is now a pastor! And he lead all of his family to Christ. It is pretty awesome. I kind of see a testimony like that in Rick.
Sure thing. :) I have always got to bed at like 2am, but with Lorena waking up earlier, I am trying to stay off my phone at least after 11pm. The "momma needs to get some sleep or she can't keep up with her commando roller and scooter initiative. My hubby is home for 4 days, so he watched Peanut while I fell asleep at 7pm, so yeh that is why I have been off. :) @Nancy, y'all feel free to write whenever. With campfire, it is awesome!!!! I will probably post once or twice a day. But on rpg sites, they recommend like trying to post like once or twice a week. This keeps it from feel like an obligation, but just for fun since this is what it is for.with school starting monday, I have to balance my time carefully. :)
Y'all have a good night.
@Mayflower I admit that the dialogue I am giving the young adults seem to be too mature for their age, but with God, anything is possible. ;)
Hehe don't worry about it. I am amazed by the character's spiritual walks at this age these days myself.one amazing youth group. I am loving the story so far. :)
@Mayflower Okay. Got it done. Hope it is okay...Time for breakfast. Bye for now.
Just plotting y'all. Easier to do on my phone at night. But I told myself I am getting off at 11pm at night from now on. Nooooo.
Can y'all help? This is the scripture I was thinking about Mr. Morrison sharing.
When Jesus saw the crowds, He went up on the mountain; and after He sat down, His disciples came to Him. He opened His mouth and began to teach them, saying, "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. "Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth. "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. "Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. "Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Matthew 5:1-12 NASB
The word blessed shows up nine times in these twelve verses. That means it is an important idea. Matthew 5:1-12 is known as the Beatitudes. Beatitudes is an old, fancy word that means blessed. The Beatitudes start off a section in Matthew called the Sermon on the Mount. Chapters 5-7 of Matthew record many teachings, or words of Jesus. Chapters 8 and 9 of Matthew record many of his miracles, or the works of Jesus. This whole section, Matthew 5-9 paint a pretty good picture of who Jesus is, what he did, and how we can be more like him. The Beatitudes, or Blessings, are like an introduction to these chapters.
I want you to listen, because this is very, very important. We can be homeless, family-less, and in the hospital, and still be very, very blessed.“The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.” When we follow Jesus, God strengthens us and gives us peace. We don’t have to have nice things or even be healthy to be blessed. We are blessed when God is with us, and God is with us, in our hearts, when we choose to love him and follow his commandments. Jeremiah 17:7 says, “Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

Someone want to play Mr. Morrison and deliver this someway? I really just read children's sermons and get ideas from this when teaching the kids. Teens have a lot more they deal with on a daily basis. Like the example in this story. And some questions like Hope's, I believe can go along with the hope found in this scripture. I am just unsure how to deliver it. :)
Id rather have the aha moment with Hope.I already posted a long post anyway. This is just an idea. :)
This is what is coming, but am unsure how to talk about it. @Nancy I don't want to be a writing hog. Do you want to post this part.ya like teaching teens?

This is a lot of reading, lol...I cannot commit to these long stories Mayflower...I have missed many reply's to many other threads here...am feeling a bit "obliged" here...I'm sorry, I know how into it you are and think you should continue though! Just has become a monster to me...lol...I am not a writer and spend too much time "thinking" of what to write!! LOL.. ♥
I understand. I sort of feel that way too. Why I stopped writing. It isn't supposed to feel like a yoke of burden. I have felt so tired lately in my mind. I may just need to take a break of being online. It is just hard. I deleted my games and stuff off my phone, because I get bad anxiety. I am trying to watch what I put in my mind. It is hard.
