Yes! Did he ask me to? No.
He was writing beautiful words
in replies to the prayer requests from
others! This is what made me take
an interest. Found out he is a known
pastor's son that has a great concern
for improving the lives of the people
in his area!

It is good that you are sending him money to do God's work. I too follow the Lord's prompting in sending money to the Indian sub-continent to people I can trust. However, I am careful that the people I support are trustworthy and honest. In my 27 years of supporting people in Nepal, I have seen pastors who have been corrupted by the easy flow of money from western countries, and they defend their "honour" fiercely when they are found out acting dishonestly. In KTM there was one family of a pastors that people were advised to avoid his sons because of their dishonesty. Now I am not suggesting that Mel is acting in that way, but, for me, after reading his prayer requests, mainly for money, they no longer ring true for me after remembering his past requests for prayer. One such request was for prayer because of his embezzlement of money, and it would seem to me that someone bailed him out so that the case against him disappeared. Helping people out without them facing the consequences of their decisions is not healthy spiritually for them.

My concern for the people in Nepal is that they themselves begin to trust God for their needs rather than depending on foreigners for the financial needs. In their reliance on us, they elevate us to the level of being their deity to supply their needs.

Mel objected to my input in this thread, because I asked God to increase his wisdom in the Lord by drawing him further into God's truth.
God does allow us to make these types of mistakes, when we step out in our own strength rather that with God by our side. Then when our decisions blow up in our face we then ask/demand God that He fixes our problems for us without learning anything about what we are doing wrong such that we keep making the same types of mistakes over and over again.
My Prayer is that God will draw you into His truth and that you will be prepared to humble yourself and repent of the wrong(s) that you are doing. If what you are doing is of the Lord, then it will not fail, but what we are reading is that you are continually having problems and that you want people on this forum to pray to God to tell Him to fix it.

The reality is that Mel is asking people through his prayer request to fix his problems for him. He is not learning from what he is doing wrong. He is becoming more dependent on us than God.

Mel has taken this thread down this rabbit hole.

Proud Christian often do not like correction, whether they line in the west or in the Asian sub-continent.

Friends, God bless to take right decision tonight.
The lady has called to do room agreement, if we do agreement we have to pay her every month even if our business faces loses or less profit.
But if we stop here, we may stop from more losses ahead.
You can pray God bless to take right decision tonight.
I pray God guide you. To be honest Mel, I have had terrible luck trying to survive on my own. There was a time when I was blessed. But I have a disability and I think the Lord just let me fall so I could reach out and get help from others, learning humility that way was a powerful lesson for me.

Anyways, always praying for you and your family. Have courage in doing that which you feel the Lord wants you to do. But be wise and careful not to get into the bondage under people.

Very astute assessment.
There is a real difference in a need and a "I want". There is also a difference in humble sincerity and an expectation of " I'm owed"!
Thank you.

Seems like you got ahead of God and the steps that you should have taken with God before you started the business.

God does allow us to make these types of mistakes, when we step out in our own strength rather that with God by our side. Then when our decisions blow up in our face we then ask/demand God that He fixes our problems for us without learning anything about what we are doing wrong such that we keep making the same types of mistakes over and over again.

May the Lord God give you the insight to see what you are doing wrong in your relationship with Him.
"Seems like you got ahead of God...before you started the business..."
With all the praying his family does and others praying for them, I doubt that happened.
I don't think that he actually started a vegetable company yet. They wanted to rent the
area and paid a couple of months' rent, but had not been given a key to the space. That location
seems great...a prayer hall is there - note the sign in the video where My Dreams walks to the
street and gives us an outdoor view of it! Pastors rent there with their families, and a Christian owns
it! One pastor there is a guy that My Dreams has asked prayer for his hand in the past. A pastor
recently moved from that part of the house/apartments and the owners made it into a business space.
Seems that God has moved the final needed piece into place for My Dreams to rent it for whatever God leads
him to use it for in the future! I'm waiting to see the harvest it brings because what this guy starts turns
into major crops that amaze me!
During Covid and lockdowns, most people were probably counting the items in their pantry; he
was seeing the hunger around his town, and began FeedIndia! Pastors and more were soon
hauling home huge free bags of rice!

So what was your decision about leasing the shop in order to provide for your family?

If you do not lease the shop, you should at least seek other employment.

For years you have talked of starting various businesses but nothing is ever done. Maybe you should work for someone else to earn income?

It's not good for you to continually rely on donations for others to support you. The time spent seeking donations on various Christian forums could be spent working.
He has a business..."My Dreams Travel Agency"! MDTA started around June, July of 2019...and soon Covid
caused lockdowns. The ones in India continued for months! He has done the recharging of phones and paying
of electric bills via his travel agency! He'd like to do more, and the shop space should help!
"Donations" are used for missions. Gifts are for special times for his family, including his parents and
sisters.

It is not false witness if I am telling the truth. You have received donations, haven't you?
Rather than working it seems.

When you were facing jail time (up to 7 years ) for unpaid loans and refused to look for work, I was shocked.
"rather than working"
You need to picture the family and what goes on at their house. His dad is well-known, also..two of his sisters
(married) have been involved in mission work, because of this...their houses are open 24 hours each day! Pastors
stop by with various needs, pray, and get great meals! Sometimes, Bibles, rice, money, snacks are given to them! My Dreams
was consistently on call to run for groceries before he injured his leg in a recent scooter accident. His wife is the skilled chef
for meals for the visitors that without notice just arrive at their door!
I remember a time when a pastor and his wife showed up at the house wanting help for their son to get to
a conference in the southern part of India, as needed money right then! In stepped My Dreams soon with the
finances! Another time, a pastor from another part of India was walking to catch a bus back from Raipur, called
My Dreams...and immediately received the funds to hire a taxi!

You are referring to unpaid quick loans? Not sure how that is up to seven years, or what happened in
that situation. I don't know what the borrowed money was used for.

I notice you will not admit that you have received donations....money and even cell phones.
His videos show that he has supporters for Bibles, rice, shoes, bikes, sewing machines, etc.
Okay, I've contributed to the cell phone purchases in his family, even a sister's. Another guy sent him a cell
phone, but it doesn't work in India.

"embezzlement of money, and it would seem to me that someone bailed him out so that the case against him disappeared."

What are you thinking of? My Dreams (Mel) is not asking the readers to "fix" problems for him. His life was going
a certain direction after he moved to Raipur. He's having a difficult time realizing that God has him on a different and
better path now. Some doors have shut, but greater ones have opened to him! He doesn't need to be working with
and living with one of his married sisters to be used in awesome ways by God! They had an orphanage. Mel and his wife
assisted by caring for the kids, meals, the house chores, shopping, and running errands. They set up chairs and areas
for special events, but those times are done. They wanted to remodel their house and have built a new orphanage in town.
They wanted all of the other family to move out, including his parents. Mel was used to getting financial assistance for
helping with the kids and house needs, given to him by his sister. That ended when they moved out. His wife was pregnant
with cute Sarah at the time of leaving the orphanage. This move caused a big loss of income to Mel!

It seems that you have insider knowledge of Mel in India, but this side of Mel has not been told to us.

I have insider knowledge from 4 years ago when I visited Nepal of what is happening with my friends there.

My experience is that the people who live in the Indian Sub-continent are reluctant give you the whole picture of what is happening. As such making decisions to provide financial help requires us to make an uniformed decision on whether or not we should help at all.

My experience of prayer requests for projects and programs is simply just code for money to be sent to them for that project or program.

They all need to become more reliant on God than on people from the west.

He is becoming more dependent on us than God.

You probably know that Mel has been to the USA several times for conferences. The first time was
when his brother-in-law that had the orphanage invited him, sister covered the financial costs. in 2017

Listen now to learn what happened in 2018...2nd trip to Florida.
The hotel expenses were covered...so no charge. He had been invited, but needed flight tickets.
The final hours had arrived, and he still didn't have a ticket! He very much wanted to go to the Florida
conference; a pastor he knew would be there! Mel's family members began to pitch in whatever
they could contribute, sister, parents, a married sister...take my debit card...here's money...and off
to gain a flight via a travel agent he knew! Got there, and not enough money! No problem as the guy knew
the family and would wait for the rest of the fee. Mel was to board the plane within hours!
Back in the USA, was a friend soon to send a surprise his way! Neither of us had any idea, at first, what was going
on across the seas!

I have been a friend of his family for over five years. A pastor from the USA that has been to the past
house/orphanage tells stories at his church in the service times! He is about to see Mel's sister and
husband at his church again as they may have even left already for the United States! This couple is
also sponsored by Samaritan's Purse, which has given them tickets to fly here.

May I inquire as to your relationship to My Dreams and how you have such personal info on his family ?
If all is as you say God has done, why these continual post that appear to be a form of begging.
If God has provided to those within his will, he does not fail to continue to do so.
This is bad from in this day & age given the anonymous nature of the internet.
Why NOT instead be in the praise forum giving glory to whom it is due......GOD?

That sounds great, but that is not the story or information that Mel is/has been suppling to this forum.
After I watched the video of where his rented shop is, I wrote to Mel and asked him what
the sign said above it. He wrote back as to the prayer hall there and gave me much more details!

wife gave her documents for shop agreement.we will be running a vegetable business
Putting this in bold so it will be more visible amongst the quotes.

The most current news we heard was that Mel didn't want to sign a lease for the shop after all.

I asked what happened about that decision and he didn't answer me.
He also didn't tell me the area would have people that he knows to frequent the shop.

So if he is now renting the shop to earn income for supporting his family and others, I am glad.

I have encouraged, exhorted Mel to do something like this ever since he said he was in danger of being arrested for unpaid loans!!!

Mel posted the Penal Code for the offence....up to 7 years and a fine.

He told me he was just going to forget about the loans!
I told him if I faced jail time, I'd be looking for work to pay those loans down.

He has a business..."My Dreams Travel Agency"! MDTA started around June, July of 2019...and soon Covid
caused lockdowns. The ones in India continued for months! He has done the recharging of phones and paying

I understood that Mel never was able to get this business going. Same with Western Union that I asked about.

Do you know that Mel and family were asked to leave his parents' house because he wasn't contributing to the rent and bills?

That's another reason why I was encouraging him to get work.

His videos show that he has supporters for Bibles, rice, shoes, bikes, sewing machines, etc.
Okay, I've contributed to the cell phone purchases in his family, even a sister's. Another guy sent him a cell
phone, but it doesn't work in India.
Those videos of ministry type work are rather old...at least two years old.

Mel himself admitted he hasn't done ministry for a couple of years.

The guy who sent Mel fairly new Smart phones said Mel eventually got them working.

He also had sent Mel a fair amount of money by India standards. But Mel wanted regular support which the guy didn't want to do.

Minding Your Own Business

Fritz Chery Aug 28, 2023 Bible Verses About0 comments

Bible verses about minding your own business

The Bible tells us that Christians shouldn’t meddle in other people’s business, but to worry about their own affairs. These Scriptures have nothing to do with correcting someone who is rebelling against God, but the Bible says stop being nosy.

Don’t put your input on matters that don’t concern you. It only creates more problems. Many people want to know your business not to help, but just to know it and have something to gossip about. When your mind is set on Christ. You won’t have time to meddle in another person’s situations.

What does the Bible say?
1. Proverbs 26:17 Interfering in someone else’s argument is as foolish as yanking a dog’s ears.
2. 1 Thessalonians 4:10-12 Indeed, you already show your love for all the believers throughout Macedonia. Even so, dear brothers and sisters, we urge you to love them even more. Make it your goal to live a quiet life, minding your own business and working with your hands, just as we instructed you before. Then people who are not Christians will respect the way you live, and you will not need to depend on others.
3. 2 Thessalonians 3:11-13 We hear that some of you are living in idleness. You are not busy working —you are busy interfering in other people’s lives! We order and encourage such people by the Lord Jesus, the Messiah, to do their work quietly and to earn their own living. Brothers, do not get tired of doing what is right.
4. 1 Peter 4:15-16 If you suffer, however, it must not be for murder, stealing, making trouble, or prying into other people’s affairs. But it is no shame to suffer for being a Christian. Praise God for the privilege of being called by his name!
5. Exodus 23:1-2 “”You must not pass along false rumors. You must not cooperate with evil people by lying on the witness stand. “You must not follow the crowd in doing wrong. When you are called to testify in a dispute, do not be swayed by the crowd to twist justice.

Advice
6. Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
