No it's not. Because you aren't exactly like your Father.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

That's different than just looking like Dad.

I and the Father are one.”

If you had known me, you would have known my Father also.

I asked what does He look like and you said His father.
Okay, what does His father look like?

Did you say you sit with Him?
What does He look like?

Okay, what does His father look like?

Did you say you sit with Him?
What does He look like?
Why are you making stuff up?
I didn't say I sit with him.

No I don't in a physical sense.
I have in a spiritual sense.

One thing have I asked of the Lord,
that will I seek after:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord
and to inquire in his temple.

Psalm 27:4

“What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.”

A. W. Tozer (The Knowledge of the Holy)

I often think of Gods presence and love as an ocean that engulfs us. I imagine it surrounding me and sinking into the depths of his power and love and glory.

You?

Go back and read your post then.

Here's your words:

Why do men CALL the UNSEEN God in Heaven.......FATHER?
WHO said so? And WHY? Do you know?

AND YOU SAID;

You asked where God as Father comes from... remember?

AND WHAT I SAID IS:
Why do men CALL the UNSEEN God in Heaven.......FATHER?
WHO said so? And WHY? Do you know?

READ IT AGAIN... I did not ask WHERE GOD COMES FROM!

Are some still arguing that we cannot accidentally sin? Because there are ceremonial/ritual sacrifices in the OT specifically for accidental/unintentional sin.

Do we need to post all those verses for the record?

If mankind could sin accidentally in the OT, we can do it in the NT and modern day and, as I've shown multiple times now, James comments on it. James 3:2

It is certainly possible for a born again believer to be lost. [/QUOTE

Not TRUE.

The New Testament warns the believers about the consequences of willingly returning to sin after receiving the gospel.

Yes “believers” are warned, BECAUSE “believers” can fall away.

A BORN AGAIN believer......can NEVER fall away..

Point being, they called out to the Lord.
Point being, they were rejected.
Do you understand....a man calling out to the Lord....IS NOT calling OUT to what he “DOES NOT BELIEVE EXISTS”!

The WHY is revealed...”they did not DO the will of the Father”.
The WILL of the Father, IS for a man to WILLINGLY submit their Lives UNTO THE Lord. They didn’t.

Utter lack of reverence toward the Holy Spirit, lying to the HS, speaking against the HS, etc.
OK
Those that cried out Lord, Lord, were lost because they were unlawful...
they did NOT do the will of the Father.
Whatever the reason is becomes irrelevant.

And as to blaspheming the Holy Spirit...look at what you posted above.
Can't a person become sorry that they did this and ask for forgiveness?
Aren't we told that God will forgive us through Jesus our mediator?
1 John 2:1
1My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous;

God will always forgive us...that is the point.
I don't read any scripture that states He will not.

Matt 12:
[31] Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
[32] And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

No F.
Those crying out Lord Lord will not make it to heave because of
Matthew 7:23 Jesus states clearly WHY they will not make it to heaven. It has nothing to do with false belief.
22“Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’
23“And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’

Those who practice lawlessness will not make it to heaven.
We must do the will of the Father.
2 John 1:9-11
9Anyone who goes too far and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God; the one who abides in the teaching, he has both the Father and the Son.
10If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house, and do not give him a greeting;
11for the one who gives him a greeting participates in his evil deeds.

Those who state that it isn't necessary to abide in the teachings of Christ do not speak the truth.
Those who state obedience is a work do not speak the truth.

Yes, OSAS or NOSAS is the gospel

Osas teaches salvation by Grace through faith. not of work

NOSAS teaches that we must earn, maintain or keep from losing salvation by works.

We also have licentiousness (I believe they claim OSAS) whihc believe you can say a sinners prayer and your saved no matter what with no true repentance or faith.

But yeah they are the gospel
Licentiousness is caused by the teaching of OSAS.
The sinner's prayer is worthless if it is not followed by a change in life.
We must die to ourselves and live for Christ, or there is no sign of being born from above.
A spiritual birth shows a change.
If there is no change, there is no spiritual birth.

Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Luke 9:23
And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.

Galatians 5:24
And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

Yes I did forgive me, I corrected it. Please look at it

Unbelievable? So what do you think works of righteousness is. Not obeying? Come on man.

Even Paul said that obeying the law was called works.
Please use scripture.
Do you mean that if we work we MERIT salvation?
Please give the verse.

You didn't catch that I was talking about 'right now, today.' MODERN Mainstream churches and TV and Radio, as well as Youtube ALL widely teach OSAS. TODAY.

I am VERY familiar with church, as well as Biblical, history. My contention is that OSAS is a popular trendy doctrine for MODERN MAINSTREAM CHRISTIANITY.

Renniks recognized this distinction in my claim and responded accordingly, agreeing that it IS popular today, but was not even around until centuries ago. That was not my argument.
I agree with you and understood you were saying the above.
Sorry if my reply didn't seem so.
Yes, OSAS is a trendy, modern doctrine.
Let's say that it's not "orthodox".
OSAS did not even exist in the early church.
I hope I stated this....
:)
