Sure you were genuine, asking Christ Jesus from your “hearts thoughts” or perhaps you were trying to figure it out in your “Minds thoughts.”

Do you know there is a difference, between Talking to Christ Jesus, from ones heart, or ones mind?

let me clarify. I genuinely repented, and did great for about 5 weeks. Then, after much fighting, i gave in. And at first, despite my urges, i gave in, even feeling disgusted by my addiction for like a second. Yet i gave in and ever since then, there is no more fight, and im back to where i started…. I feel nothing when i sin. Now some would say, i was saved then i lost my salvation. Calvinism says i was never saved to begin with. Calvinism is Biblical.

    "Belief" does not save anyone.

What saves you is when God causes your spirit to be born again, because you have given God what He required to save you.

The Savior, is Christ on the Cross, risen from the Dead.
He is also the WAY to be saved. John 14:6

"Belief", is what God requires from you, to apply to you what God has accomplished for us, as Christ on the Cross.

    "Faith" is not the Savior.

God is the Savior, who will save you through your faith, as faith is accepted by God to then SAVE YOU, with the Blood of Jesus that deals with all of your sin.
Once this happens, once your sin has been resolved by the Blood of Jesus, then ...then...THEN, God gives you the new birth through His Spirit.
At that point you have become a "New Creation" "in Christ',...SPIRITUALLY.... and are now a Son of God.

You are talking about being sorry for your sin for about 35 days.

Thats not what God is looking for.... as everyone is sorry for their sin at times.......especially when they get caught, or when their sin has destroyed their life, or someone else's.

Ive a friend for many years who was run over recently by a 20 yr old who was texting.. This boy who was driving looked up, and his van had crossed the oncoming lane and he ran over this person who was walking on the side of the road..
So, i bet he's still sorry (in repentance) for that situation....for years to come.
That is meaningless to God. It only has meaning to the boy.

What God is looking for is a specific type of repenting.
    Its this..
To repent of not believing in Jesus.....To turn from this unbelief.......TO.......Belief in Christ. = FAITH.

God says it like this.....>"The will of God is that you BELIEVE in JESUS, whom God sent".

    See that = "believe in"...?

That means, where before you didnt....but now you do, and its a TRUE belief a TRUE Faith in Christ.

Reader......Give God that, and God will give you the "new birth", and make you His born again eternal Son, and you'll meet Him as Father, vs, meeting Him as your eternal Judge. John 3:36

    I agree with the above.
But, at some point (maybe not immediately) all believers are given the above...if they truly love God and wish to serve Him.
Re sanctified, I'd say that we are positionally sanctified since scripture teaches it is ongoing.

And I'm not sure what you mean by freed from sin.
If you mean that God sees His Son and not our sin, then I agree.
Some state they NEVER sin anymore...this I cannot accept.
And yes, our heart must match our mind (not the other way around).
    Ummm...I mean V V!!

I was not talking about repentance. I was not talking about Salvation.
I have no clue if your craving is an abomination or not.
I was talking about your own GENUINE desire.
I was talking about HELP, if you truly desired to overcome a particular craving.

No one needs to have repented, needs to be saved, to approach Christ Jesus with a genuine heartful request for HELP in any matter.

Genuine repentance is not the whole of what is required of one who receives Gods Gift of Salvation.
Sounds like you may have been lead to believe, you had to make confessions you were not ready to make, before you could approach Christ Jesus.
Jesus IS an ADVOCATE. He hears the Unsaved. You do not need to be in a Church, participate in a ritual, altar call, to Call on Jesus, and speak heartfully to Him...

Yes, scripture speaks of different phases (or times) of salvation...
    OK
But by converted you mean your previous post which listed what the converted have NOW?
    Is this what you mean?

wrong! God does not listen to the unsaved’s prayers. You CANNOT be saved unless you repent. It is an absolute necessity to repent. But understand that repentance is a gift from God. Not everyone can repent. And repentance is not a one time thing either. What i noticed is you have not addressed the difference between a back slider and false convert either.

I boldly state, I am saved. And I sin no more. My sin WAS AGAINST GOD.
God forgave my SIN AGAINST Him. AND, all of my Forgiven SIN, IN Me, IS COVERED BY the Very Spirit of Gods Light, that Dwells IN me.
Get it? My forgiven sin IS not seen by God, My forgiven sin IS not remembered by God. Gods Light covers my forgiven sin.
Gods Spirit dwells IN me....God does not dwell IN Sin.
By Gods Power IN ME, as He promised, NEVER AGAIN can I STAND Against God. ^ THAT was Gods Offering. ^ THAT Was my Heartful Freewill choice to accept His Offering.

More specifically, a man WHO becomes “CONVERTED”....lays down his own life. It’s a spiritual death, (crucified with Jesus), God fully accepts, obviously, since it is according to His WAY.

The dead can no longer COMMIT SIN...

    Rom 6:
[7] For he that is dead is freed from sin.

    See?

    Yes there ARE converted IN Christ......SAVED NOW....often identified as;
“Converted IN Christ, Saved, Born Again, Christ’s Church”..
“THEY” already laid down their life (crucified with Jesus).

Others who believe, but do not become converted, and believe at the time of their physical death, SHALL BE SAVED at the time of their physical death.
^ They are the ones repeatedly WARNED about “enduring” (keep believing) to the end....the end of what? The end of their physical flesh life. After that, they can bodily decide nothing.

No, I don't see unless you man what I stated before about God seeing His Son and not our sin, or sinning.
I don't believe a converted person lives a life of sin.
This does not mean that a person never sins.
I know some that state they never sin...ever.
To me this means that they don't understand sinning and how sensitive God is to sin...
    a bad thought is sin.

Romans 6:6 states that we are no longer slaves to sin..as does Romans 6:16.
Romans 6:7 if we've died with Christ we will live with Him. We are hid with Christ in God.
    Colossians 3:1-3
1Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
2Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.
3For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

That explains how I understand being dead to sin.
If we really never sinned, then what was John explaining in 1 John 1 and 2?

    Must leave now.

this…. Is odd? To me. I think thats the right word to use, but i grew up in the church. Theres never been a time that i can remember where i didnt believe in God. I’ve always believed in Him. There was never a need to not believe. Thats why i say your comment was odd to me. So in this case, i still cant say that im saved because of 1 verse. 1 John 3:8. Untill my addiction, which i love, is over with, i cant be saved.

That sounds like it was your efforts, you doing all you could, but you found it to be impossible...and you're right, it is impossible for us. But not for God.

Tell him that in prayer, turn the whole matter over to Him, and tell him you can't do it.

    Believe that He can.

That is NOT a stand alone true statement.

Gods Order and Gods Way is of utmost importance of what applies to an individual, when and why.

Many men from ancient days...ARE SAVED...BECAME SAVED when they physically died, BECAUSE THEY BELIEVED, on the day they physically DIED.

God SAVES whom He pleases, according to His Order, His Way.
Study of Scriptures reveals Gods Order and Gods Way.
Yes......for some to BECOME SAVED....Belief IS sufficient.
Yes......for some ....Belief IS NOT sufficient...to BECOME SAVED.

i see a bunch of nonsense in this post. First, if a person is saved, it doesnt have to be on the day they died. And belief alone is NEVER sufficient.

You do not listen. Hear, Learn, THEN understand.

Nothing can BORN AGAIN, less IT first DIE!
Appointed for a man to DIE ONCE.

What exactly do you think CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST MEANS?
What exactly do you think PHYSICAL DEATH MEANS?

A person who IS SAVED laid down his life, crucified with Christ.
A person who SHALL BECOME SAVED, becomes saved after physical death.

You should read and study before declaring an opinion that is in contrast to Scripture. Gods Order, Gods WAY! Some have been SAVED, Some living now ARE SAVED, Some SHALL BE SAVED at their physical death.

    Mark 24
[13] But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

    Mark.16
[16] He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved...

    Acts.2
[21] And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

    Acts.15
[11] But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
...* (THEY, “THE ALREADY SAVED BEFORE PHYSICAL DEATH”..referenced, “the converted” Acts 15:3 and referenced, “having received the Holy Spirit” Acts 15:8)

Scripture is For YOUR benefit. Hear it, Read it, Listen to what it actually says.
If it is nonsense to you, it is your MIND that is hearing, not your HEART.

A person CAN NOT BECOME SAVED, then LOSE their SALVATION.
There is LIST of works God DOES IN A Person that He is CONVERTING.
Nothing whatsoever in Scripture, describes God “UNDOING” any Works IN A Converted man.

Much “fighting”... be specific...I would guess, arguing in your MIND....
Mmmm yum yum....keep the addiction..love it!
Eh no, no...............stop the addiction...not good for you.

Does that sound accurate for what you mean by...”much fighting”?
