The distinction is made in many a Christian's mind when they encounter a musty old religious spirit.

Vain repetition is fed to hungry sheep, who are placated by man made traditions. Though they wander in the valley of dry bones, they do not seek the living water. The voice of the Shepard is forgotten. The works of God are hindered due to unbelief.

God prefers order, but they have ordered him out. The women gather to gossip. Their husband's hearts are not present. Hearts are hardened, their tears have all dried up.
Why are you self-righteously condemning much of the body of Christ? Read the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector. Hint: it ends with "For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

It isn't an issue of humility, but of humidity.

Of course, Christianity is a religion. In fact, it’s the worlds biggest religion.

The expression is meant to distinguish Christianity, to make it holy, to set it apart from what appears to the outside world as mindless RITUALS and STONY/ARBITRARY DOCTRINES. This is true even though all religions have rituals and doctrines, including Christianity.

The term nicely couches Paul’s love chapter. Love’s only application is relationships. Without Love, we are nothing = without relationships, we are nothing.

Relationships are a pre-requisite for love to flourish. Relationships are the container. Love is the contents.

What a God we serve! Amen.
