Well, God has just put her in her place..through his living word...she can’t deny his word.

I’m not sure where she’s getting this Born Again in the mind business....

We’re all learning Brother....I just hope she’s not teaching that as a minister...that she says she is.

When i first showed up here, over 2 yrs ago.. .She found all my Threads.. and here is what she said on them every day, for about 2 months.

"Behold is a Gnostic"... "Gnostic"....
And she could not even explain what that means..
I explained it to her, so that she could at least get the definition right.

Then, she started to imply that im a "fornicator"... and did that for a while.

so, here she is again... as usual, just posting "crazy" theology, as there in no other term that can define it, more accurately.

It IS our Mind that is born again. 1 Corinthains 2:16. We have the mind of Christ. And our soul is born again also,
Our mind is not Born Again...it’s our spirit that is Born Again..when God testifies with our spirit that we+are his children...which of course is then relayed to our mind.

You say you are a minister...if you are teaching that our mind is Born Again.......that is you teaching it.

That’s is not God’s word..,.therefore a lie....

Ephesians 4:22-24

“To put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.”

Romans 12:2

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

2 Corinthians 4:16

“So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.”

Let me show you something interesting.

Often, a "hybrid" concept, or religion, is created based on bonding, scripture with religious theory.. = Heresy.

Let me show you one.. and see if you see why im showing you this...

""""""" Have you ever heard the term “the Universal MIND?” It refers to a single, unified consciousness out of which all other consciousness arises—yours included.

The idea of a Universal MIND describes an energy field or life force which permeates all of creation. The philosophers who supported the concept of a universal mind, including the Greek pre-Socratic thinker Anaxagoras and the German philosopher Hegel, wrote that the Universal Mind contained all reality and thought—that all knowledge which has ever existed or will ever exist lies within the Universal Mind.

Ancient philosophies and religions = often understood """"this consciousness""""= as GOD... Allah, Chi, Brahman, etc. Baha’is, however, see this source as the all-knowing, all-powerful, and loving series of God’s messengers, ever-present throughout history and in our lives:

This is the Ocean out of which all seas have proceeded, and with which every one of them will ultimately be united. From Him all the Suns have been generated, and unto Him they will all return. Through His potency the Trees of Divine Revelation have yielded their fruits, every one of which hath been sent down in the form of a Prophet, bearing a Message to God’s creatures in each of the worlds whose number God, alone, in His all-encompassing knowledge, can reckon. – Baha’u’llah, Gleanings from the Writings of Baha’u’llah
The “Ocean” of those divine messengers, including Abraham, Krishna, Buddha, Moses, Christ, Muhammad and most recently Baha’u’llah, bring humanity the spiritual teachings of the Creator, creating a continuing Universal MIND open to the consciousness of every person.

Genesis 1:26-27 states that “God created man in His own image,” which suggests that within each of us lie the potential attributes of God and the seeds of everything we will ever need or desire. If our mind seeks oneness with the Universal MIND, however, we must harness these spiritual gifts through a life of joy, devotion and service to humanity. Our lives can potentially testify to the virtues of God which lay hidden within us, if we follow God’s prophets. In this manner, the Baha’i teachings say, we access the Universal Mind and all of the treasures of this world:

… the universal divine Intellect, (MIND) which transcends nature, is the outpouring grace of the pre-existent Power. It encompasses all existing realities and receives its share of the lights and mysteries of God. … the heavenly intellectual power, which is beyond nature, encompasses, knows and comprehends all things; is aware of the divine mysteries, truths and inner meanings: and discovers the hidden verities of the Kingdom. This divine intellectual power is confined to the holy Manifestations and the Daysprings of prophethood. – Abdu’l-Baha,

Is this just another false argument on your part. It seems to me that you do not let scripture explain scriptures in some of our interactions recently.

But then again, I am not complaining, you are just helping me to add to the number of posts that I have made.
Jay, read chapter eight from the beginning. Is it not speaking of Greece conquering Medo Persia, the ram with two horns? The goat with the notable horn is Greece. Its horn was Alexander the Great, who died in his thirties, and the land was then divided between his four generals. One of the four areas where Israel was grew a little horn, Antiochus. Like it or not, this happened!

1.) Man is "body, soul, and Spirit" = 3

He is "tri-part", exactly as God is Triune. or 3 in One.

God said.. "let US make man in OUR image", and this is 3, including the Holy Spirit.

So, a 3 in One Godhead, created a Tri-part Adam, who is "body, soul, Spirit".

The creation account given by Moses does not agree with you. Man is formed of the dust of the earth (outer body) and the LORD God breathed into his nostrils the breath (spirit, that gives our outer body life) of life and man became a living soul (something that possesses life). Every living breathing creature upon the earth is a living soul. And every living spirit in heaven is a living soul, without a body.

Genesis 2:7 (KJV) And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Man being created in the likeness and image of God is not because we were created with "body, soul, Spirit". It's because the Spirit of God in us is how we were given life. Through His Spirit in us, we had the ability to commune with God in the garden without any understanding of evil or good. Only by being created in God's image was it possible have a relationship with God. That image man was created in was lost, spiritually (mind, heart,, will, emotions). Man's spirit in him was no longer the likeness and image of God man was created in. Man became a natural (of the earth) spirit without the presence of His Spirit in us. That's why the only way to know Christ is through new birth. We must be born again, because that is how we once again have the Spirit of God in us. Without His Spirit in us, we cannot know or enter the Kingdom of God for eternal life.

Through the fall all humanity is now made in the image of the first man (Adam) and woman (Eve). Without the presence of the Holy Spirit in us, we became natural man/woman without the life giving Spirit. In natural flesh and blood we have no spiritual discernment, but are of the earthy fallen man/woman. We must be born again of Christ, who is the quickening Spirit from heaven.

Genesis 5:3 (KJV) And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth:

1 Corinthians 15:45-49 (KJV) And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

1 Corinthians 2:14 (KJV) But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

To have a soul is to have the breath of life. A man/woman may have physical life that is natural body + spirit (breath of life) = a living soul. A man/woman that has been born again has physical body + spirit (breath of life) ALSO the Holy Spirit = a living soul. In death the man/woman that died in Christ becomes a spiritual body without flesh & blood that departs our body and ascends to heaven spiritually alive and is a spiritual body of believers in heaven. In heaven those who died in Christ are still living souls, without physical bodies. Because the spirit that has eternal life through Christ's Spirit in us NEVER dies. So, in heaven believers continue to be living souls, because "soul" indicates being alive.

Father God in my opinion relayed his message to Jesus, through his living spirit...Jesus mind and will were always aligned with the will of God.

We learn to align our mind and will to God, through the Holy Spirit, who indwells us...imo...

Yes, Jesus embodied the godhead. The Father and Spirit were always part of Him. Col. 2:9

Genesis 2:7 (KJV) And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Let me give you some context..

First.. "God is A Spirit"... so, that is not a "soul".. That's God's Holy Spirit, and that is not "mind" as some foolish theology would teach, on my Thread.

Notice John 20:22... as compared to Genesis 2...

"Jesus Breathed on them....and said, receive ye, the HOLY Spirit".... and that is not "mind" as some deceivers would teach on my Thread.

That is Genesis 2... "God breathed in Adam". (nostrils)

See that BREATHING? That is the "breath of Life" that is the Spirit.

So, "living soul" means that the body-mind was made alive, because the Spirit was put in the body.

Man is a SPIRIT... who has a Soul, and this all exists in the body.

When you die, your SPIRIT leaves your body.

We are a triune being: 1 Thess. 5:23. 23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Paul is praying that professing believers may be complete, that they may with their whole spirit (inward man; mind, heart, will), soul (whole life) and body (outward physical man abstain from sin) would be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord. Man is made of body + spirit and became "a living soul". Two-part complete man/woman as physical living soul. In this Paul assures us that in both life or death we should live together with Christ. Vss. 11-22 of 1Th 2 Paul tells us what we are called, as Christians to do, to be secure in Christ by astaining from every form of evil.

1 Thessalonians 5:10 (KJV) Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

Wrong again.

See, Paul is talking about the Born again Spirit, not the spirit in an unbeliever.

So that is why the "S" is capitalized in Galatians 5:17, as this is the "new creation" in CHRIST".... which is joined to God's Spirit. = "ONE with God", = "S". capitalized.

If your bible does not capitalize it, and if your bible says.. ."HE was manifested", vs "God was manifested" in 1 Timothy 3:16, then your bible is junk..
Get a real one.

3.) spirit =( has to be born again)

How do you differentiate between spirit and mind?

In the Stong's Greek spirit is defined as both the Holy Spirit AND to be spiritually minded - our mind is spirit, with the natural mind without the presence of the Holy Spirit belonging to natural man, but the spiritually minded, through the Spirit of Christ in us becomes a spritual man, that once again has ability to understand the things/ways of God.

pneûma, pnyoo'-mah

from G4154; a current of air, i.e. breath (blast) or a breeze; by analogy or figuratively, a spirit, i.e. (human) the rational soul, (by implication) vital principle, mental disposition, etc., or (superhuman) an angel, demon, or (divine) God, Christ's spirit, the Holy Spirit:—ghost, life, spirit(-ual, -ually), mind. Compare G5590.

It's difficult to make a distinction between soul and spirit. It is the spirit or mind of man supernaturally changed from natural to spiritual, and before physical death man is body + spirit and together the two became "living souls." Soul means having life, spirit is that which gives life to our physical body.

How do you differentiate between spirit and mind?
By reading and understanding the “ Living “ the word of God.

We are Born Again by the Spirit...I’ve already explained..if you scroll up.

There is nothing complicated in being Born Again...I wish some wouldn’t make it so complicated.

Being Born Again ,is so simple to understand....the Spirit is what testifies with our spirit...how else would we know were Born Again.

He testifies with our spirit that we are children of God...my opinion.

The renewing of our minds comes when we are Born from Above. Imo.
Romans 8:16

Romans 12:2

"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will." (NIV)
Audio Crossref Comment Greek
Verse (Click for Chapter)
New International Version
The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.

New Living Translation
For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children.

English Standard Version
The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,

Berean Standard Bible
The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.

It’s the Spirit in our spirit that relays the messages of God to our mind.......The Holy Spirit resides in our spirit...imo.
How else would we understand the Bible without being Born Again...without the Holy Spirit we are nothing.

We must be quickened...that’s an act that only God can do.

The Bible uses the word 'soul' in two ways, just as 'flesh' is in two ways. Each has two definitions. That is why context is crucial to see which is being used.

Soul
1 Thess. 5:23 has us as spirit, soul and body. Three parts of one person.
Romans 13:1 uses soul as the whole person.

Flesh
Lev. 4:11 as muscle like meat
Romans 8:8-9 Paul uses flesh as man's sin nature

Let me give you some context..

First.. "God is A Spirit"... so, that is not a "soul".. That's God's Holy Spirit, and that is not "mind" as some foolish theology would teach, on my Thread.

Yes, but God, A Spirit became a human being. That means that Jesus Christ with body + spirit became a living soul.

Yes, Christ breathed His Spirit into His disciples before sending them out. In the same way God breathed His breath of life (Spirit) into Adam and he became a living soul. Possessing the Holy Spirit is to have the "mind of Christ". Remember the Spirit that God breathed into man was lost when man disobeyed God and heeded the voice of the serpent. Man then became natural man/spirit/mind/heart/will/emotions. With body + spirit man became "a living soul." Man was NOT created tri-part beings. Man was created with body (flesh & bone) and spirit (mind) and the two together are called "a living soul."

1 Corinthians 2:16 (KJV) For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

It is our natural mind through His Spirit that is born again so that we can know the mind of Christ. The natural spirit in man does not have knowledge of Christ, and in fact has no desire for Christ until he/she is born again of the Spirit of Christ.
