The best news for humanity is; the sinner is not made better, he is done away with. The very thing (sin nature) that made a sinner a sinner is gone, dead and forgotten. When Jesus Christ died on the cross, the sinner died. The moment Jesus Christ laid a dead head on a dead shoulder, all in Adam died. All humanity is dead in Christ, and that makes it so all the sinner has to do is believe. All in Adam are dead as Christ on Calvary. The difference is they that are born again have his life. So a believing sinner goes from death death (dead to God by nature, and dead on the cross) to life the moment they believe.

A good way to describe sins death in Christ on the cross is; as crude as it may sound it's like the cure for a incurable disease. A cure has been found and all you do is go to the cure and you are instantly healed of what was an incurable disease. That is humanities transformation from being in the first Adam, to being in the second Adam. Only believe.

Another crude example! Have you ever had the thought of why God does not treat sin like he once did. Why he doesn't wipe a sinner out of this world. Oh but he did wipe the sinner out of the world when he killed out, crucified the old man on a cursted tree. We get tangled when we try to imagine what happened in the garden, how sin why sin. This we know! Satan is the sinner from the beginning, the murderer from the beginning. So sin comes from the orinal sinner Satan. God created evil he did not create sin, to do evil is sin.

8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. - 1 John 3:8.

44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. - John 8:44

The ability of the death of Christ to cancel the penalty and power of sin is truly wondrous. The believer still has indwelling sin until we are raptured to the Lord's presence, but by His grace day by day we are empowered to take up our crosses daily (Luke 9.23) and follow the Lord Jesus; this life of conflict and victory is also chronicled by Paul in Romans.
