how are his merits applied to our souls?
BY BELIEVING IN HIM . AND if one has TRUE FAITH well THEY ARE HEARERS and DOERS OF THE WORD .
IF one is not a hearer and a doer , WELL they DONT KNOW HIM , PEROID .
REMEMBER that Faith without works is dead , BUT SO TOO IS ALL THE WORKS without FAITH IN JESUS . A fact ROME does not know .
SHE HAS SOLD THE TRUE GOSPEL OUT . The harlot has blended in lies and pratices of false religoins in order to win converts .
YA CANT MIX THE TWO IN ORDER TO WIN SOULS . ROME SOLD OUT LONG , LONG AGO .

As you may or may not know, Christ's sacrifice is a Passover sacrifice. The last and final Passover sacrifice that never, ever, ever needs to be made again. And so the law of Sacrifice is DONE. Completed. Forever and ever, never needing to be repeated ever again. Christ is the finished and completed work of blood sacrifice.

yes I agree but it is offered (not re-sacrificed) for all eternity

christ is an eternal priest

and the office of priest is to offer sacrifice

eternal priest eternal sacrifice

and his low priests also offer the one sacrifice

but the redemption continues and the offering of the once for all sacrifice is still eternally offered by Christ and his church

No, it is already there on the altar before the Father. It only had to be put there one time. It doesn't get reoffered, because it exists there on the altar all the time. It doesn't get consumed and need to be reoffered like the Levitical sacrifices had to.

So it’s not the “finished work of Christ” but the finished Passover sacrifice!

Unless we're just not agreeing what 'offered' means, Christ's sacrifice need never be offered again. It's always there on the altar to secure redemption for those who trust in it. The work of redemption is done and completed as signified by the fact that this High Priest, Jesus, SAT DOWN after he performed his Priestly duty.

It's the finished work of High Priest Jesus for the Passover sacrifice and for all the other blood sacrifices required by the law. The Priestly work of preparing and offering the required blood sacrifice is DONE, one time, for all time. There is no need whatsoever to repeat any part of what He did. All that's left to do now is for new generations of people to have that finished work applied to them through their faith in that finished work.

Christ is the head, of course:

"Christ Himself, who is the head." Ephesians 4:15

good answer

next question

Does Christ administer his own kingdom or govern the church n earth?
(he does so spiritually of course Jn 15:5)

nope! It is a new covenant!

Yep. It’s a new covenant.

To deny that the early church began as a sect of Judaism is to deny an historical fact.

You’re disconnected from the early Church, from history and from the Vatican.

the work of redemption continues in the church, the gospel must be preached the disciples must be baptized and all the sacraments

mal 1:11

11 For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the Lord of hosts.

Pure offering
Clean oblation
Unbloody sacrifice

No, leave the 'church' part out of it. Christ, and Christ alone, offered the sacrifice of himself on the altar in heaven.

heb 7:17 For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Here's what 'low' priests do:

"15 ...because of the grace God has given me 16to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles in the priestly service of the gospel of God, so that the Gentiles might become an offering acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:15-16:
They offer sacrifices, but not blood sacrifices. That would violate the very fact that there is no need for another blood sacrifice.
