Lot was a Saved man.....in fact, he was a “ hero of Faith” .....yet he was rotten from the beginning of his life until the end of it where he died drunk in a cave after raping his own daughters , having never Repented of anything....the only “ changes” in his life were changes for the worse....how do you account for him? Seems to be the case that FAITH Plus Nothing Saved Him....not Repentance or the refraining from Sin....he was thoroughly “ unchanged” yet Saved .
Remember me telling you that you have to start reading the Bible for yourself? You have to do that so that when some goof ball teacher tells you junk like you're sharing here about Lot you'll instantly recognize it for the lie that it is (I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt that you did not invent these lies about Lot but were told them by some misguided and false teacher of the Progressive Christianity movement sweeping through the church in these end times).

The lie:

"he died drunk in a cave after raping his own daughters"

The truth:

"30Lot and his two daughters left Zoar and settled in the mountains—for he was afraid to stay in Zoar—where they lived in a cave." Genesis 19:30

"33So that night they got their father drunk with wine, and the firstborn went in and slept with her father; he was not aware when she lay down or when she got up." Genesis 19:33

Your embellishment of the story is very deceitful. In fact, I consider it downright wicked. But as I say, I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt that you were taught this false story of Lot. New Christians have to be taught to beware of people who do this. They have to be taught to read the scriptures for themselves, and without the bias of popular teaching, so they can spot the false teachers and prophets in the church and reject their false, destructive doctrines.

ProgressiveChristianity.org : The 8 Points of Progressive Christianity

Your theologies associated with your rejection of traditional Christianity puts you in the Progressive Christianity category. You'll see yourself in their theology as you look at the various Progressive Christianity websites out there.

A five second glance at the Site was enough to convince me that these “ Progressive Christians “ are full of crap...... C’mon, Ferris.....You know by now that I ain’t THAT Stupid or Biblically ignorant....you may as well accuse me of being a Mormon or a Jehovah’s Witness......as they say—- “That Dog won’t hunt...”

This makes no sense.....you contradict yourself....you say the Born Again man can’t sin, yet you talk about the the Saved man who “ struggles with sin”...... which is it?

Lot was a Saved man.....in fact, he was a “ hero of Faith” .....yet he was rotten from the beginning of his life until the end of it where he died drunk in a cave after raping his own daughters , having never Repented of anything....the only “ changes” in his life were changes for the worse....how do you account for him? Seems to be the case that FAITH Plus Nothing Saved Him....not Repentance or the refraining from Sin....he was thoroughly “ unchanged” yet Saved .....

I can use the “ everybody sins” argument anytime I choose to.....anybody who is not an idiot or is not delusional knows that they sin every hour of every day.....thank God for His Grace.....It is the only thing that will work aa far as Salvation is concerned.....

This is a total perversion of what happened. Not only have you exaggerated about Lot's transgressions, but you slandered him. Rotten from the beginning of his life till the end? Where do you get that from? Died drunk in a cave? The Bible never says that. Raped his daughters? They got him drunk on purpose and had sexual relations with him when he was under the influence for the purpose of having children. Lot's wife had become a pillar of salt. You have no way of knowing if he ever repented of anything. Almost everything you said is a lie.

Unconditional eternal security is one of the doctrines of devils scripture warns us about.

Apparently Jesus didn’t get the memo....He was the Originator Of “ Unconditional Eternal Security”....Jesus said if you Believed in Him , you ALREADY HAD Eternal Life and could NEVER come under Condemnation....How on Earth Could Anybody with a brain not understand that.....How much plainer could it be?
Jesus never said that. Jesus is not the originator of unconditional eternal security. He never said a person "could not come under condemnation."

Lot actually did worse than THIS.....He was willing to release his virgin daughters to the entire town so that EVERYBODY was free to rape them....

The point of any of this is that Lot was a Lout who was selfish and wicked at times, there is no record that he ever Repented before he died, yet was a Saved man.....Saved because he had Faith.....I’ve-Read the Bible for myself many, many times .....I have not read Lots dismal Story for a long time and I am not going to read it now....the details are neither here nor there .....he was wicked.....he was Saved.....even considered a “hero”......why ? Because of his Faith.....the thing that saved him DESPITE his many terrible wrongs......kinda like you and I.....and everybody else.....Its all a testimony to the Grace of God— Given to those that have Faith.....Plus Nothing .

Yeah.....I’m like that ...

Just check and see what your precious Lot did to Abraham.....and you defend him....you claim he was “ slandered” by me......the mind reels....

Lot did not want to give his daughters to the town to be raped. Lot was overpowered by a mob and was making a choice. He had no ability to fight off the men, and he saw that as the lesser of 2 evils. You are misrepresenting him.

I am saying it is a fact that you slandered Lot. He never raped his daughters, and scripture never says he died as a drunk in a cave. What did he do to Abraham? There was a dispute that took place, and Abraham felt it best that he and Lot go their separate ways. You are grasping at straws with this.

Jesus never said that. Jesus is not the originator of unconditional eternal security. He never said a person "could not come under condemnation."

Even Paul said “ therefore there is now NO CONDEMNATION for those that are in Christ Jesus”.....Paul wrote nothing in his letters that Jesus , via the Holy Spirit, did not tell him to write.....

Perhaps these Words from Jesus Himself will make a Believer out of you... John5:24......” He That hearith my Word, and believes in Him who sent me has Everlasting Life , and shall NOT come under Condemnation , But has passed from Death to life” ......

Hard to argue against that, isn’t it.....it can’t get any clearer.....I have yet to find “ anybody” that can Twist “ that” verse......why not give it a shot? Good luck!

There is no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus. Those living in sin are not in Christ Jesus. When he says this person hears His words, this does not just mean it went in one ear and out the other. It means they observe His words. They obey His teaching. If you believe on Him in the way He means it, you will believe Him when he warns us about hell, and when he tells us we must build our house on the rock, meaning that we obey him. He does not mean believe like the devils do where they know He is God, but do not follow Him. People that have an active faith and believe on God the Father will not come under condemnation, but have passed from death to life. I can prove this.

"Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him." 1 John 3:6

You claim to know Jesus because you say you believe in Him, but if you believe in Him, you will keep His commandments. If you continue in sin, no matter what you claim, you have not seen him or known him.

Lot took the good Land and left the scrubs to Abraham.....he was a selfish, uncaring Lout who Loved Sodom and it’s ways.....when he was dragged out of that evil land he managed to smuggle some booze out with him.....there was no bar to purchase it in inside the cave where he got drunk....you seem to think the guy was an “ angel” and he clearly was anything but that.....

I think his miserable, rotten life is included in the Bible for a solid purpose....just like the story of David and Bathsheba and their wicked ways....it can give hope to the worst Sinners on earth —- They can Saved by the Amazing Grace Of God If they have Faith....I have known people that think they have committed such terrible sins that God will Never forgive them....Thank God these stories are in the Bible for people to see that there is hope for everyone.....

Again, you are exaggerating Lot's transgressions to make him appear worse than he was. Abraham made him an offer and Lot took him up on it. Did he take the best land? Yes, but Abraham gave him a choice. The Bible never says drinking is a sin except in excess. His daughters plotted to get him drunk. He never raped them. David repented of his sin with Bathsheba. We all believe a sinner can repent and be saved.

I do keep His Commandments....This side of the Cross ( ever hear of that? ) we have only Two....#1 Believe #2 Love —— These Two Alone will get the job done......1John 3:23

You say we do not “ continue in sin”...... hmmmmm.....That would make “ these” verses pretty useless, wouldn't it ?
“We ALL Stumble” and “If any man SIN, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous”.....Unlike you, my eyes are open—- I “need” an Advocate and never hesitate to approach the Throne Of Grace BOLDLY when I need it ......apparently, you see the need for neither...” Blindness” is like Ignorance I suppose —- “ Ignorance is Bliss”......I am like Paul—— “ I don’t hold back the Grace Of God”.......I know how much I need it every hour of every day....so do you.....you just don’t see it.....You are a much bigger Sinner than you think you are....

The Bible says Christians do not sin. Big difference. Jesus mentioned that there were 2 commandments greater than all others. 1 Love God with all your heart 2 Love your neighbor as yourself. He said these were the 2 great commandments because all others fall into these 2 categories. Anyone that commits rape and murder is violating those commandments, yet you claimed that rapists and murderers go to heaven if they believe.

Real Christians do not commit willful sins. We all make mistakes, but we do not all ignore God's teachings.

Judas was a Sinner. When it came to “Repentance”—- he was the king! Repenting from Sins is a Fool’s Errand If you think that is how a man gets to Heaven.....Repentance that does not include Faith in Jesus Christ ALONE for Salvation is a waste of time.....

The type of Repentance required for Salvation Is NOT “ Turning * FROM* Sin......rather , it is Turning * TO” God as a Lost Sinner That MUST have a Savior.....

“ Turn to me, and I will Turn to you”..... do that....that is a “ Repentance” that will Save .....The KJV Bible NEVER says “ Repent FROM SINS” to be Saved.....prove me wrong and a $1000 is yours...God truly wants us to repent of our Sins.....it just ain’t the recipe for Salvation.....Faith in Jesus Christ is what gets “ that” mission accomplished....nothing else....no matter how “ good” it sounds.....

Are you going to pay with cash or check? Luke 13:1-5 "THERE were present at that season some that told him of the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galileans were sinners above all the Galileans because they suffered such things? I tell you, Nay, but except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwell in Jerusalem? I tell you, Nay, but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."

There are many more places in the New Testament about the need for repentance, but this should suffice. You can send me the $1000.00, but I am willing to forget it if you will repent and stop teaching your false "faith plus nothing" doctrine. Not only will it lead you to hell, but it could lead others into the pit with you. I could certainly use the extra money, but your coming to true repentance is worth more.

One other thing. Judas repented that he had betrayed innocent blood and caused someone who was not worthy of death to die, but he never turned to Jesus. He also died with a willful sin on his garment he did not repent of, suicide.

Those Two Commandments you mention about “ Loving God with ALL of your heart” and “Loving your neighbor as yourself ?” Nobody But Jesus ever did these two things.....You would be wise to see it, admit it and throw yourself upon the Grace Of God —- the ONLY thing that ever saved anybody that was saved.....Simply Believe Paul’s Gospel , given to him by Jesus, and you will be a recipient of that Grace.....

Rest in the Gospel .....That will get God’s Spirit in you.....Then you will Find Yourself Doing the things that please God—- Without Trying so hard.....God will Transform “ the inside of the cup” ...... any man can “ change” his behavior by “ turning over a New Leaf” —— only God can TRANSFORM the inside of a man and give him new desires....

Here is a bonus verse about repentance. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord." Acts 3:19
