I would think that continued willful sinning can become a sin against the Holy Spirit where there is no more sacrifice for such sins. However... The bible says that no man can say that Jesus is Lord but by the Holy Spirit. So as long as you are able to declare Jesus as Lord you have not over stepped the boundary. Furthermore the bible says...

Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. - James 5:14-15

Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. - Galatians 6:1

So there are times when sins occur in the life of the believer. As long as the heart is tender I believe that it is a fleshly matter that can be forgiven. I believe the sin talked about here is when the Christian flat out leaves the fellowship for the wild party life, caring not that he has sinned, let down the brethren, and exposed Christ to an open shame.

The letter to Hebrews was written to a specific people with whom God
covenanted in the Old Testament as per Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and
Deuteronomy. So then, in context, the pronoun "we" in the passage above
doesn't target Gentiles: it targets the author and his fellow Jews.

Heb 10:26 refers to a passage in the covenant; which essentially says that if
and when Yhvh's people know in advance that something is a sin, yet go
ahead and do it anyway, they're out of luck because there are no
atonements stipulated in the convent for scofflaws.

"Anyone who sins defiantly, whether native-born or alien, blasphemes Yhvh,
and that person must be cut off from his people. Because he has despised

Q: What's a Hebrew scofflaw to do about his situation seeing as how the
covenant provides him no way to escape the wrath of God?

Let's look at the context of this verse (Heb 10:23-26 ESV):

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. 26 For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries.

While the writer is addressing Jewish believers, he is saying:

• There is a call to remain faithful in our Christian confession of hope;
• We need to stir one another on to love and good works. Why? Because it's so easy to become slack in our lack of love and failure to do good works (not to earn salvation, but to demonstrate we are saved);

This is not 100 percent correct. You say man can not break free from the bondage of sin - then you are saying that what the first adam did was bigger then what the second and final adam ( Jesus) did on the cross. Now we know this can NOT ever be true. Scripture tells us............Romans 6:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. and in 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. these are but a few.

We do not have to be under control or a slave to any sin nature once we are born again and spirit filled. See that I said we Do Not Have To Be for it is and always will be our choice to walk in the Spirit or not.
Scripture tells us to walk in the spirit and we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh which is that ol raunchy sin nature. Here is how it is done.

Romans 12:2 ....
And be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God

Brother this is to believers and not simply for unbelievers and also saints do keep on sinning. Unforgiveness is a sin. Not walking in love is a sin. Insisting your right and not making peace is a sin and on and on and on.
