Its amazing how you can trace pagan origins back to the tower of babel, (Babylon) and follow it all the way up to the Roman Caesar. who was the high priest.

And see all the things which were introduced to the roman church when it was made a state church.
So true - even things you don't really think about can be traced back to the Roman paganised church.

No I haven't. Is it on a similar topic?
He goes through prophesy. He is one that looks at all three views (pre-trib, mid and post) and goes through alot of Daniel and revelation including who mother harlot is.

I read a book and was ready to change my view to mid trib. My mother gave me her copy of "things to come" and it was a mind opener.

I do not believer everything he said. But it is definitely one we should read. and add it to our list of prophecy books to study.

The queen of heaven is a pagan term, It was well known term in greek and roman muthology

When your church is basically built around not offending the pagans. You bring some of their terms into the church.
Giving honour to the true Queen of Heaven isn't wrong just because some pagans centuries ago gave honour to a false queen of heaven; just as worshipping the true God isn't wrong because some pagans centuries ago worshipped a false god

I don't think there would be any Christians who don't honour Mary as the mother of Jesus but she is not the queen of heaven. It doesn't say that in the bible.

There is no queen of heaven. There never was.

Mary is honored among all women because of what she suffered to bore our savior.

But she is not a goddess..

theefaith,
re: "Mary is the advocate of Christians...Christ honors his mother, and never refuses her prayers..."

Around the globe, there are probably at least a few hundred prayers being directed to Mary at any given moment. How do you suppose she is able to handle them all at once in order to advocate for each one of them? And of course they just keep coming non-stop 24/7.

She would have to be God. Omnipresent and Omniscient.

You should know that many beliefs are based not on a single piece of scripture, but on putting scriptures together.
Mary, as Queen of Heaven, is arguable from scripture.

please show how in scripture?

Since scripture calls the church his bride. Jesus is king. that would make the church his queen

the church is his bride. that makes us his queen, if there is a queen at all.

Not in the Davidic kingdom.
In the Davidic kingdom, starting with Solomon it was the mother of the king who was the Queen [Mother]

We see this first established by Solomon when he greets Bathsheba who comes to ask a favour. He pays her homage and sits her on a throne at his right hand (a position of honour) (1Kg 2:19)

After Solomon the kingdom splits into the Northern kingdom (Israel) and the Southern kingdom (Judah). After this there were 20 kings in Israel before the deportation to Assyria. For none of these is the mother of the king mentioned.

There were 19 kings in Judah after Solomon before they were deported to Babylon. In 17 of these the king’s mother is given, usually after introducing the king, with the words “his mother’s name was ……”. This in itself shows that the king’s mother was a significant figure.

The mother of the king was referred to as the queen mother (1Kg15:13 (& 2Chr 15:16), 2Kg 10:13, Jer 13:18, Jer 29:2.). Note the Hebrew is gebirah – queen. The KJV just says queen but more modern translations say queen mother as she is the mother of the king.

Bathseba was King David's wife so therefore she would have been his queen and after David's death perhaps she was still called 'queen' - like Elizabeth the Queen Mother. But she was only ever a queen consort never a queen in her own right - like Victoria, Anne or Beatrix of Holland.
