The narrow way in Christ doesn't mean being narrow minded. You are missing the bigger picture...and are remaining blind to your true condition before God.

God allows for different colours of skin, ethnicities and even religions. This world is a testing ground for eternity.

Just as judging ALL God-fearers among the Greeks is a mistake...since some became the first Gentile Christians...so it is wrong to judge someone as unrighteous because of their ethnicity or religious affiliation. Sure some God-fearers continued to be pagans (thus allowing religious bigots to write them all off.). But God looks at the heart.

It's not so much about what we accept as doctrine...as what it is doing to us. Doing good to others is NEVER wrong. Fearing God is NEVER wrong. Receiving a righteous man as a righteous man is wise, irregardless of his doctrinal leanings. Of course that doesn't extend as far as one who blasphemes God on the holiness level. We are limited...and there are limits as to what we can accept on the level of human attitude.

The Samaritans were seen as heretics among the Jews. And Jesus got people like you in a big snit when He used a Samaritan to teach the Jews how to do the will of God. Of course because you read in the bible how things are seen...you will deny you would have done the very same thing as religious people did at that time. So you are not progressing at all in the faith.

It's like using Gandhi to explain selflessness.

And the bigots and shallow hypocrites won't see what they are doing....so focused are they on a self-righteous appraisal of their own doctrinal correctness.
Please don't miss the point. The point is Ghandi wasn't following Christ as you are saying, but Hinduism.

Brother I'm afraid you're very deceived and are bringing a gospel that is not the same as what Jesus and the apostles taught and preached.

What you are essentially saying is that God allows for sin, because the idolatry of false religions is sin. While the Lord longsuffered this until the cross, now He calls for all men EVERYWHERE to repent of their sin and idolatry and turn to Christ.

The parable of the two sons that you mentioned are referring to those who actually ARE His sons. First to the Jew, then the Gentile. To the Jew it was talking about his son Israel who only practicing an outward religion but whose hearts were far from Him at that time, telling them that His other son the Gentiles IN CHRIST, would do His will and produce the fruits in keeping with repentance. Then to the Gentile.....to believers in Christ after the cross it is talking about those in the church who would likewise give the Lord lip service but again not producing the fruits. After the cross you actually need to have the spirit of adoption before He calls you a son. Gospel 101. Jesus is the first born of many brethren...only His brethren according to the spirit are sons. I pray the Lord will rescue you out of the deception you're floundering around in there.....you've fallen down a rabbit hole.

How religious...and typical is this response. I'm talking about obeying Christ. Do you know what following Christ is even about? Is it lip service to you?
Brother I'm afraid you're very deceived and are bringing a gospel that is not the same as what Jesus and the apostles taught and preached.

LOL. The opposite is true. The very attitude of a Pharisee. You didn't mention the "good" Samaritan. How deceived was Jesus to use a Samaritan when salvation is of the Jews? You are blind to your own condition.
What you are essentially saying is that God allows for sin, because the idolatry of false religions is sin.
Of course God allows for sin..He is merciful. Because you understand neither righteousness nor holiness...you will remain in the darkness of an ideological prison. Hope you are at least enjoying yourself.

While the Lord longsuffered this until the cross, now He calls for all men EVERYWHERE to repent of their sin and idolatry and turn to Christ.
Very clever. But you are deceiver. Jesus always called sinners to repentance....but not the righteous.

The righteous have an upward call into Christ.

Jesus said I did NOT come to call the righteous, but sinner to repent. Only the sick need a doctor. The healthy don't.

So you are misunderstanding...for the sake of your religious bent....the very words of Jesus.

Your rabbit hole is a religious bondage. You are not understanding any of the parables but mixing metaphors to suit your purpose.

The parable of the two sons is about who was doing the will of the Father.

So you are very poor in understanding..even a total lack thereof..and why? Why be such a religious nut? God hates religion.

He is looking for spiritual fruit...not religious nuts.

Think again!

Many Christians reject the message of Christ even as they"point" at Him. Gandhi did the very opposite. He believed Jesus and His words rang true to him...so he followed the teachings of Christ. What he didn't do was claim to be righteous because of it. He claimed no religious benefit to obeying Christ.

So you have it backwards... as so many do.

Of course the best thing is to not only follow and obey Christ but also proclaim Him to the world both in word AND deed.

If God had to pick one...a follower in word OR a follower in deed...which would He choose?
God does not have to pick one. And as for followers in deed, without Christ "all our righteousness are as filthy rags" Isa 64:6.
God loves all of us, but hates sin. The only way we can be seen righteous is through Jesus.

For folks that have never known the Gospel,i think they will be looked upon in their heart, and I don't know if Gandhi had rejected Christ thoroughly or no. Sometimes God gives us time to learn of Him. We don't know.

But I wouldn't count on any works of righteousness coming from me without Jesus. And I have no clue what you mean by high righteousness.

You have missed Jesus teaching. He asked us to pick one. You have a bible ... read it.

Oh my...more religiosity.

.so it is wrong to judge someone as unrighteous because of their ethnicity or religious affiliation.

Here is how you find out if someone is a sinner = unrightesous.

The Bible says.>"ALL have sinned".

That includes everyone.......black, brown, white, or a in between.

Religious twaddle and unbiblical.

As tiresome as it is to try relating something true to indoctrinated people...here goes.

“There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.”
“And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

From your religiously affected mind...are you saying that these people never sinned? (Using your "sinner = unrighteous" ideology)

“And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

From your religiously affected mind..

You posted that these OT Jews are blameless in the Law.

Well, we are not in the OT.
There is a New Covenant ....., so, its not really acceptable to God, to try to omit the Cross by trying to live in the OT Covenant.

Paul, told you that he was blameless in the law, also.. That is Philippians 3.
He said that all that, which is self effort, is not counted as righteousness by God, and that these Jews, were "ignorant" of this and were still trying to keep the law to get God to accept them.
In the verse i showed you, He said that those Law Keeping Jews, who were "ignorant" of God's righteousness, and were "going about trying to establish their OWN Righteousness" that is "of the Law".
The reason you are in agreement with their ignorance of God's NEW TESTAMENT NEW COVENANT Righteousness, is because you just are the same.

You have not yet understood that the law and the commandments can not make you righteous before God, even if you are BLAMELESS in them, as Paul was.

The law and commandments are given so that we can see that "all have sinned", which leads us to the Cross of Christ so that by His sacrifice we can be "made righteous" as "born again" a "New Creation" 'In Christ".
There is no other way that God will accept you and keep you.

"Jesus is the END OF THE LAW for Righteousness, to everyone who Believes"

"FAITH is counted as righteousness", and the born again have been "justified by faith, without works, and the deeds of the law""

More twaddle. You would have the OT be a better covenant based on your dead religion.

When religious posturers like yourself see the words "all have sinned" ...their mouths start to water and they see their opportunity to destroy ALL righteousness.

But Jesus came to fulfill ALL righteousness. And we through Him are to do likewise...not throw away righteousness and become lawless as you are trying to indoctrinate people with all your wasteful endless postings.

they see their opportunity to destroy ALL righteousness.

Unless you have never sinned, then you are not righteous.

So, did you want to be honest about that with yourself, and the rest of us, Episkopos?

And now that we have determined that you have sinned, are you able to cleanse yourself from your sin, being a sinner?

Here is how you do that...

"without the SHEDDING OF BLOOD, there is no FORGIVENESS of SIN"

Are you able to do that?
Really?
If you think that you can , then you are self deceived, or kinda crazy.

A sinner, dealing with their own sin?
Did you want to try burning a sacrifice?

So, now that you realize you are a sinner, how to do get that resolved so that your sin is dealt with?
= The Cross of Christ. This is Jesus on the Cross dying for your sin....

Welcome To : Salvation

Its a "Gift".

How unteachable and unreasonable you are. am like like matador here...a bullfighter.

You are full of spears of truth in your body...but you still think you can win your arguments.
Even after showing you you are wrong... you will persist...like a blind man and deaf...with slogans like this.

"unless you have never sinned, then you are not righteous."

This is not true. The bible proves you have no understanding.
O, the futility of the carnal mind.

Oh, they sinned certainly since all do. The Law couldn't take away their sins, and neither does it even address every little sin known to man. However as the scripture says they were righteous and blameless according to the standard of the Law....they kept covenant with the Lord. The new covenant standard is set higher and is a remedy that takes away sin......it's a better covenant than the old.

Gandhi said...I love your Christ...but not your Christians. He could see through all the religious posturing and false righteousness.

He was right about that, of course. Gandhi was far more honest and sincere than most modern believers.

But that's what you get with free samples of grace. Not the best outcome.

But the very very few who do go to God to be translated into the higher walk...now that is worth all the risk of creating a superficial understanding among the majority.
Many are called but few are chosen.
An earthly love so what ?

If he really loved Him then he would have submitted his life to him. A worldly love is what it was .

God was always merciful and adjusted His expectations according to our weakness.

Many here think that Jesus had to die to make God merciful. This is a lie and an affront to God's character.

The New Covenant is the power of a resurrection life as from the dead...to fulfill the law as Jesus did. It is to walk in the same power over sin that Jesus walked in.

Anything less than that is a slight on grace.

Many here think that Jesus had to die to make God merciful.

Jesus had to die, on the Cross, so that by this Sacrifice, we can be "made free from sin", eternally forgiven, and be joined to God.

Heaven is not gained , unless the Cross is the Way.

John 14:6

Here is how you know that God wont have us, unless Christ makes us Acceptable to God = by His Blood and Death.

A.) He died on the Cross to prove it to you.

Reader, here is another way to understand the problem we all face..
Heaven has no sin in it. It has no Moses Law, or Commandments in it, as does God or Christ need those?
The angels?
No.
So, what is found in Heaven, is Righteousness...>Holiness. = That is God, Christ, and Host of Heaven.
For us to be allowed to go there, and be with Them, we have to become righteous, LIKE THEM.
So, God came down here as Christ on the Cross to deal with our sin, so that God can give to us the righteousness that makes us acceptable to him and ABLE to exist in Heaven, were righteousness is the Holy Standard.
Only God can provide this to us, and Christ on The Cross...= is the Way He provided it for us, as "the Gift of Righteousness" and "The Gift of Salvation".
This is the Cross of Christ, as the "Grace of God", that is "The Gospel of the Grace of God".

2 Corinthians 5:19

The Law and Commandments....those were given to SINNERS on Earth.... so that we can understand our unrighteousness, SEE OURSELVES, as compared to God's Holiness.
And We can't solve that, as "all have sinned".
We have no way around our unrighteousness....of ourselves.

So, God sent Jesus to be our Salvation, on The Cross.
When we trust in Him, and Give God our faith, God gives us JESUS, as our Salvation, that we enter into by being "born again "Spiritually."...."In Christ".... as.....>"one with God".

Good point. “God was always merciful.” Considering He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Many here think that Jesus had to die to make God merciful. This is a lie and an affront to God's character.

Instead of to make God merciful.
Maybe to make us merciful?? Since it is our ways that are lower than His ways. That we might share His Divine Nature?

Unfortunately your higher walk is no different than the higher walk of practicing Hindus and Buddhists. No need for Jesus at all according to your doctrine, God will grant eternal life to all who walk in their own righteousness, so you won't even be troubled by the offense of the cross.

It honestly appears to me you've been infiltrated by some of those eastern mysticism spirits that flew into the west back in the day and infiltrated the undiscerning youth.

The apostles had keys given to them by Jesus:

Matthew 16:19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

I'll stick with the stated understanding of parables from the bible:

Unfortunately your higher walk is no different than the higher walk of practicing Hindus and Buddhists.

Many of these other religionists are far humbler and wiser than religious opportunists who sit in pews. They walk in the common righteousness...the lower walk. But that walk is still higher than what you espouse...so you will naturally accuse me of being the one who degrades the higher walk...which you don't even have enough faith to believe in.
No need for Jesus at all according to your doctrine, God will grant eternal life to all who walk in their own righteousness, so you won't even be troubled by the offense of the cross.

The cross is about holiness. We go to the cross in order to be made free from sin to walk as Jesus walked. Jesus came for a Bride. But men have made a religion of an after life that they deny to everyone else. These take away from God's mercy but putting religious conditions that God has not sanctioned. Judge not lest you be judged.

But outer darkness also needs people. So there's that.
It honestly appears to me you've been infiltrated by some of those eastern mysticism spirits that flew into the west back in the day and infiltrated the undiscerning youth.
Imagine orientals being accepted by God. Imagine that. Must be some kind of un-American cult.
