Snyder: 'One World Religion' Looms As Pope & Islam's Top Imam Sign Historic Covenant

Authored by Michael Snyder via The End of The American Dream blog,

A historic interfaith covenant was signed in the Middle East on Monday, and the mainstream media in the United States has been almost entirely silent about it.

Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb is considered to be the most important imam in Sunni Islam, and he arrived at the signing ceremony in Abu Dhabi with Pope Francis “hand-in-hand in a symbol of interfaith brotherhood”. But this wasn’t just a ceremony for Catholics and Muslims. According to a British news source, the signing of this covenant was done “in front of a global audience of religious leaders from Christianity, Islam, Judaism and other faiths”...

The pope and the grand imam of al-Azhar have signed a historic declaration of fraternity, calling for peace between nations, religions and races, in front of a global audience of religious leaders from Christianity, Islam, Judaism and other faiths.

Pope Francis, the leader of the world’s Catholics, and Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb, the head of Sunni Islam’s most prestigious seat of learning, arrived at the ceremony in Abu Dhabi hand-in-hand in a symbol of interfaith brotherhood.

In other words, there was a concerted effort to make sure that all of the religions of the world were represented at this gathering.

According to the official Vatican website, a tremendous amount of preparation went in to the drafting of this document, and it encourages believers from all religions “to shake hands, embrace one another, kiss one another, and even pray” with one another…

The document, signed by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of al-Azhar, Ahmed el-Tayeb, was prepared “with much reflection and prayer”, the Pope said. The one great danger at this moment, he continued, is “destruction, war, hatred between us.” “If we believers are not able to shake hands, embrace one another, kiss one another, and even pray, our faith will be defeated”, he said. The Pope explained that the document “is born of faith in God who is the Father of all and the Father of peace; it condemns all destruction, all terrorism, from the first terrorism in history, that of Cain.”

There is a lot of language about peace in this document, but it goes way beyond just advocating for peace.

Over and over again, the word “God” is used to simultaneously identify Allah and the God of Christianity. Here is just one example… We, who believe in God and in the final meeting with Him and His judgment, on the basis of our religious and moral responsibility, and through this Document, call upon ourselves, upon the leaders of the world as well as the architects of international policy and world economy, to work strenuously to spread the culture of tolerance and of living together in peace; to intervene at the earliest opportunity to stop the shedding of innocent blood and bring an end to wars, conflicts, environmental decay and the moral and cultural decline that the world is presently experiencing.

On top of that, the document also boldly declares that “the diversity of religions” that we see in the world was “willed by God”…

Freedom is a right of every person: each individual enjoys the freedom of belief, thought, expression and action. The pluralism and the diversity of religions, colour, sex, race and language are willed by God in His wisdom, through which He created human beings. This divine wisdom is the source from which the right to freedom of belief and the freedom to be different derives. Therefore, the fact that people are forced to adhere to a certain religion or culture must be rejected, as too the imposition of a cultural way of life that others do not accept;

In essence, this is saying that it is the will of God that there are hundreds of different religions in the world and that they are all acceptable in His sight.

We know that the elite want a one world religion, but to see the most important clerics from both Catholicism and Islam make such a dramatic public push for it is absolutely stunning.

Snyder: 'One World Religion' Looms As Pope & Islam's Top Imam Sign Historic Covenant
It is called the Global Conference on Human Fraternity. The meeting builds on 17 years of meetings to find a commonality in different theologies that can counter extremist violence and protect religious minorities.

Are you against countering extremist violence and protecting religious minorities?

Have you ever studied why they believed as they did? The Reformation only succeed because people knew they were right.
Hi Dave,

Answer my question and I will answer yours: ;)

Do you believe they (the Reformers) are right on this antichrist "truth"?

I have studied what they (Zwingili, Calvin, Luther) believed. They all believed something different. Some of what they believed is what the CC has taught for 2,000 years. Since they all had different beliefs/doctrines and they all based those different beliefs/doctrines on Scripture, with the Holy Spirit allegedly guiding all of them to the truth, how can they all be right?

Scripture is clear why the Reformation succeeded: 2 Timothy 4:3

Virtually all Reformation era creeds call the Pope Antichrist. Also Methodists and some Baptists.

Yes, and they also told us to watch Islam.
Lol....how can they all be right when they all disagree with each other? If they got other interpetations of scripture wrong how can you be sooooo sure they got the identification of the anti-Christ right? Your theory does not hold water.....;)

Yes, it bit me and the other 1 billion plus Catholics and Orthodox.

God willing, someday, the less than 1 billion Protestants will be bitten and we will fulfill Jesus prayer: John 17:21

Thank you Dave.

My eyes have been opened. God willing someday your will be also.

The original Reformers disagreed with portions of 1,500 years of Christian teaching/theology/doctrine......and they disagreed with each other. Does that sound like Gods plan to you???

The men that were following those Reformers then QUICKLY (within a few years) broke away from them and Reformed the Reformation and disagreed with the original reformers teaching's/theology/doctrine. Part of Gods plan or satans plan????

The men that were followers of the men who disagreed with the reformers of the Reformation then broke away from them and reformed that teaching etc etc until we get to 2019 when soooooo much reforming has gone on that now Abortion and Gay Marriage is allegedly ok with God according to the 15th generation of Reformers interpretation of Scripture. The original Reformers are turning over in their graves and praying for you and your ilk.

According to your theory the men that disagree with 2,000 years of Christian teaching are right (even though they all disagree with each other) and the men that hold to the 2,000 year teaching are wrong. That is a FASCINATING theory. You should put some lotion on your ears.....it takes the tickling away. I have some that works real good for you see Dave.....I used to be Protestant and then my eyes were opened.

You carefully avoided the correct terminology which is "extremist Radical Islamist violence". And the Catholic Church has never specialized in protecting religious minorities, since there was extreme Catholic violence against non-Catholics for a very long time. It is also recorded for us and there is no escaping the guilt of the Catholic Church.

This pope is a renegade who does not even believe in his own Catholic religion. He is a radical socialist pretender using the office of the pope to promote a globalist agenda WHICH ENCOURAGES THE MIGRANT MUSLIM INVASION OF THE WEST. Check out all his public statements since he took office. Indeed, the Catholic Church (along with apostate Protestant churches) has been encouraging fake refugees and illegal migrants to enter America and Europe to take advantage of the liberal welfare systems while trying to subvert Christianity and Western values. That is in fact TREASON.

As far as I know they were all Augustinians trying to bring the RCC back to the Council of Ephesus standards of 431. Luther and Calvin both agreeing to this standard. But as early as the 10th century Catholic believers began identifying the Papacy as the Antichrist.

the first written history suggests Arnulf, the archbishop of Reims in the 10th century identified the Papacy as the Antichrist. Later Joachim of Fiore in the 12th century preached the Papacy was the Antichrist. This led to the martyrdoms of many Albigenses, Anabaptists and others who in part embraced his views.

Catholic bishop Arnulf of Orleans would be the first on record to identify the “man of sin” as the Papacy during his days in the 10th century. Catholic abbot Joachim of Floris in 1190 and the archbishop Eberhard II in 1240 also related the papacy to the Antichrist. Synopsis of the End Times; A look at the popular beliefs of today by Mike Morrill.

So the Reformers didn't originate the claims, but adopted them causing people to leave the church in droves.

LOL....I didn't carefully avoid anything. I cut and pasted from an online article that contained a summary of what the meetings are about. But you couldn't have known that so I am not taking your accusation to heart.

The Church did, in fact, protect the Jewish minority during WW2 and with time I believe my research would show more than just that. Sooooo you can't use the word NEVER.....;)

LoL. I don't mean to make fun, but the big problem here is that Muslims are duplicitous, and I mean as duplicitous as they come. They'll say one thing and then turn around and do another. They make agreements when it benefits them and break them just as soon as it is no longer helpful to the spread of Islam.

Islamic attacks fell steeply in 2018, likely due to the presence of Donald Trump in the White House instead of closet pro-Muslims like Obama and Hillary, and my guess is it is presently in their best interest to present a friendlier, more peaceful side of Islam to the Christian West. It won't last, however. They lie, and it is only a matter of time before the murderous, Christian-hating and Jew-hating side of Islam rears its ugly head again, and this pseudo-"political" agreement reveals itself to have been meaningless.

Fair point.....I would say, and I think you would agree, The theory became more popular (better known) because of the Reformation (the Reformers).

Soooooo your belief is that Arnulf and/or Joachim were enlightened by the Holy Spirit to properly interpret Scripture/history etc to come to the conclusion that the Papacy is the anti-Christ????

If the Papacy kills even one, does it reflect Christ? How about millions who died under Papal tyranny? And he's couldn't possibly be the Antichrist?
