The Purpose of Bible Prophecy Part 2Bible Prophecy in the past has always been where God has deemed that certain individuals will be provided instruction on how to physically escape the destruction of an area. Noah is the classic example.A closer examination of Noah’s experience reveals that there are two criteria that make up past fulfilled Bible prophecy:1. God predicts the future calamity.2. God provides instruction on how to physically escape the impending calamity.Noah, didn’t have to build the ark. His salvation was secure, but he would have perished with the rest of humanity if he failed to follow God‘s instruction.. In effect, Noah following the instruction to build the ark was a test of faith. Lot’s had a similar experience. 1. God predicted the future destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.2. God provided instruction (through the angels) to physically leave S&G.Likewise, Lot could have disregarded the instruction and perish with the rest, but he didn’t. Similar to Noah, Lot’s faith was being tested.Bible prophecy today has not changed. Similar to Noah and Lot’s experience:1. God has predicted the future “flood” known as the Great Tribulation.Revelation 12: 17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.2. God has provided instructions on how to physically escape the coming Tribulation. The instruction is found within the word puzzle known as Bible prophecy.Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. Similarly, those that follow the instruction there faith is being tested. And this is the purpose of Bible prophecy. In Yehoshua,Guy Smithhttp://www.geocities.com/guysmith123/144000
