Lord Jesus said...

Matt 12:32
32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him:
but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
KJV

That is the unpardonable sin. It cannot be forgiven, ever.

That Scripture goes hand-in-hand with Apostle Paul's warning in Hebrews 6. Paul revealed that for a believer that had tasted of the powers of the world to come by The Holy Spirit, if they tried to renew their Faith, it would be like crucifying Christ all over again. It won't happen, they will have lost their Salvation.

The gifts of The Spirit we experience by our Faith on Jesus Christ is our PROOF, and our ACCOUNTABILITY. To turn away from that 'proof' given by God through The Holy Spirit is to BLASPHEME The Holy Spirit.

This means only a 'believer' on Jesus Christ that has been given that PROOF of the powers of the world to come can commit the unpardonable sin. An example would be a believer on Christ having experienced gifts of The Spirit deciding to trash their Faith, and instead become an atheist, and follow the world and the devil.

The Unpardonable Sin

26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?
27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast [them] out? therefore they shall be your judges.
28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s (Satan's) house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.
30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy [against] the [Holy] Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the [world] to come.

THE REASON: Mark 3:28-30 reads:

28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:
29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:
30 BECAUSE THEY SAID, HE (JESUS) HATH AN UNCLEAN SPIRIT!!!

Verse 30 is the unpardonable sin!! That is, Jesus' power they say comes from an unclean spirit.

To God Be The Glory

Why would you think this Sin is Unpardonable?

Could it be your translation is wrong???

NASB Mat 12:32 "Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.

Net Bible Mat 12:32 Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven. But whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven,49 either in this age or in the age to come.

Rotherham Mat 12:32 And, whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him,—but, whosoever shall speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age, or the coming.

RSV Mat 12:32 And whoever says a word against the Son of man will be forgiven; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.

There are lots of ages in our scripture.... Jesus spoke in his current age... he will reign in the Messianic Age... thus in his age age or in the age to come.... It's not eterinity.... It's about the coming kingdom... If You mess up... and speak against the Holy Spirity.... Your not going to be a part of the 1000 year reign!!! Nothing more or less

So many speculations, so much conjecture. :( Most are close.

Yet, in very simple terms--Here it is: God is spirit; God has made mankind for His own purpose and pleasure; He is weeding out all evil; and meanwhile...one may hear about God's salvation from people of flesh and blood (even from Jesus during His earthly ministry), but the actual salvation transaction is by the spirit of God--thus, if one refuses the spiritual visitation offer from God--they themselves are refused by God.

Because we have refused what reaches us and brings us to God....we cut off the lifeline.
