The way out (of trial), continues to be through scripture! (overjoyed?)

Hi there,

So I have struggled for a long time, with poisonous thoughts. When I was in my teens, I got caught up with Satanic music and I said something I shouldn't have, in a state of unconsciousness (while listening to that music). It woke me up (that I said this thing), and it plagued me ever after that. I confessed it openly to the Church, but no one could help me. But there was a day it came to end and that day was today!

What changed (how did I get free of the curse)? I started to quote scriptures specifically to do with being in a restful state. I said "Jesus, said we have to hate ourselves", "Jesus said "we have the power to trample powers of the enemy" and "It is written, Jesus said "he that tries to keep his life will lose it". Well, wouldn't you know it, I started to be able to rest again! Now I feel great! Bless the Holy Spirit!

It is the power of the Word of God, that overcomes our every obstacles, that delivers us from every trial! I say with confidence "nothing can separate us from the love of God", when we dwell on His Word, His Word sets us free. This works the same way the Word of God set the Lord free. It becomes a deep-rooted conviction, that nothing will separate us from God. I feel it working in me, now! I am starting to be conscious of what is and is not God's calling for me. If I had not quoted those scriptures, my faith would still be getting weaker and weaker.

So, take heart fellow believers, we have everything we need in the word of God. If it is possible to wake up in sin, it is possible to quote scripture and destroy sin.

I hope this is of some encouragement.

God bless.

Speaking Scripture out loud to destroy sin... I like that! Would love to practice this more.
