Why didn't God just create perfect people and we wouldn't have all this trouble in the world. Why did he create Adam with the possibility that Adam could disobey Him. God never intended creation have life in themselves. The life would come from another. As matter of fact God had in his plan to birth children by the life of His Own Son Jesus Christ in them, Eph. 1:4.
So what the gospel does is tell you what a Christian is! A Christian is a person who has the nature of God, their father, which is in Christ Jesus. That is what makes a Christian - born again by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ the only salvation there is. That is what salvation is; Christ in you. I know alot of what we say is repeating the same thing but we need to hear what it is that makes us who we are. The distractions of the world and religious world is always chiseling away at us. There is so much downward motivation in our world - everything is a drag down. It is all the news can report because people like the blood and gut stories of the day.
We go to church and they want to politic - you go out in the world and it is craziness. The world is always in a downward pull not unlike gravity. Just dragging everything down - no upswing, pulls to bring down. The flesh is a pull - everything works against who it is we are. We have an enemy of our soul..that is a pull that we tug back and forth with. Hearing the gospel - even if it is repeating what would seem to be the same old thing is an encouragement to us. How shall we know except we hear!
What we can say in view of the Christian life and doctrine is; don't do anything unless you can say 'it is Christ doing it.' That presents a dilemma for believers because we cannot do that - at least not all the time. You can have that understanding..but Christ living in and out of believers in a day to day life experience will keep you focused on what it is a Christian is. A living Christ person with an expression of who they are as they are. That takes some effort on the believers part because all we have ever known is sin. We still call ourselves sinners, which is not scriptural but understandable. Believers sin now and being a sinner is two completely different things. Sinners have a sin nature by scriptural definition. Believers have a new Christ in you nature.
We are workers.. we like doing and having participation in life - live what you know and that alone will keep you busy in life. Some do and some don't. Why don't we - why would we want to live anything else. Because of what we feel is pleasing to God. We feel all my efforts to live a life that pleases the father!
Christ in you lives his life. Christ does have a life and that life is in you. Christ in you is 'the pleasing of the father.' So go about in your life living allowing Christ life expression to come out of you as he will.
My experience is; he uses you as you are. His expression now is as you..your creation.. Jesus comes out of you as you are..your creation - he cannot come out of you any other way, not even Jesus of Nazareth Paul says, but as the Christ in you.
When you talk about who we are, where do we get that understanding. You get that from scripture and living.. confirmation by the Spirit.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: - Romans 8:16.
That is what the preacher is to do in the preaching of the gospel. A preacher is a confirmer of the things of God. Paul does that in what he says. The fullness of Paul's message to the born again is; who they are - how they got to be who are - and what to do with who they are.
Paul says alot of things in writing and straightening out churches but who you are is the foundation of Paul's message to the born again. When they see - and they will speak! Scripture gives many definitions of confirmers of the word; ambassadors--preacher-teacher-pastor-minister-reconcilers-fathers.
3 that which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. - 1 John 1:3.
What does it do in the body of Christ?
And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. - 1 John 1:4 .
The body is made strong - it lines up with the word of God and the body is fitly joined together all based on one message 'Christ in you the hope of glory.' Everything prospers and moves forward - no ulterior motives - no buildings to build - no distractions - no manipulation. Those things take care of themselves when the body works. The body being put together as the scripture comes together for believers! A body of believers that live and move and have they're being - in Christ. The church of God - the ecclesia! The called and chosen of God to be who he created and birthed them to be 'in Christ.'
