TIME!!?

On some Forums the new member gets to state how many hours ahead (or behind) they are in living ref to the Forum Time. So that when they are on the site the time showing is in face their own local time.

What time zone is this forum in please?
I have looked everywhere but I can't see a "time" showing anywhere!

When a profile says- " So,and,so was seen here at such,and,such time".
Is that the persons own time zone, or the Forum time zone, or our own time zone?

In my time it gives me the actual time here in Italy.
As far as what you ask re someone being somewhere at such and such a time, that I'm not sure of --- I would venture to guess that it's also in Italy time.

IOW, I think everything is in LOCAL TIME.
Where the poster lives.

I hate how my posts get all bunched up because of the time difference.
When I post in my morning this happens. Can't be helped.

I too have wondered that, as we are spread all over the world on this forum...I'm still trying to figure out the time diff between you and I lol

If your preferences in your profile are set to your time zone, then so and so posted in your time zone.

For instance: I'm in the central time zone. I make a post at 12 pm. Pacific time will say it was posted at 10 am. Eastern time will show it as 1 pm. Do you see it? It's kinda mind boggling until you get used to it.
