My views on Trump vary. I find him embarrassing at times, and see some really foolish actions.

I've also seen (no thanks to the main stream media, but from other sources) - him do some things that are honorable, and I have my suspicions that he's actually there not for himself but he genuinely wants to stop America from continuing down the road that both the Democrats and Republicans have allowed. I admire that. Whether he's doing a good job of it or not is up for a lot of debate, but how he's been treated by the media and others is beyond appalling. He has not been given a fair chance. There were calls for impeachment as soon as he was elected. For what? No one knew yet - but they were determined to get him.

What I am encouraged though is what I believe I see God doing through him. Trump is not America's savior, and never will be. I get concerned that I think a number of people see him that way. If people think Trump is going to fix America - I strongly suspect they are wrong. America will only be healed through God working through the hearts of His people in that nation, the people turning their faces towards God and crying out to Him.

He is just a man but i do believe that God has His hand upon Trump and is using Trump in ways that is encouraging - in part to interrupt Satan's plans. Sitting back I could see under previous governments Satan moving so much through previous leaders.

It seems that evil forces have their talons in so many areas in America (and the rest of the world) - and to see what can almost be described as demonic outbursts by many of his enemies tells me that whatever Trump is doing - the world socialists and NWO movements hate him, and I figure that can't be all bad.

He's not America's saviour - and in some ways I'm partly grateful for some of the foolishness. There's great risk for people looking up to Trump instead of looking up to God to be their deliverer, and this foolishness brings him back down. His foolishness that remains helps to be a reminder of who he is. A spanner that's been thrown in the works of the enemy, not the answer to the worlds problems. I do admit though - some of his actions (Standing up to the U.N., W.H.O, Twitter and other behemoths) I get excited and glad about!

What I also find amazing is the amount of hate for Trump here in Australia. I mean many people here literally hate him with a fervent passion. Mention his name and the reactions that come out. He's got little to do with our country - and most have no clue as to what is really going on besides what they hear from the highly biased news. It's really interesting (and sad) to observe how many people have developed a pure hatred for him - and there's only once source of that hatred. And sadly - a lot of this I've observed comes from people who would label themselves as Christians.

I think you will find that I never mentioned anything about him holding up a bible. Nice try but that sort of comment won't work with me. And I have not heard the comment about George so I cannot comment on it.
You are completely misunderstand me - I am not trying to do anything other than understand the story behind the photo opportunity because I am in the UK and all we are getting are the negative angle on the story. You commented on fake news , so I thought you were saying that the photo opportunity with him holding up the bible was fake - that’s all. I was just asking a question, sorry if you think my posts have a hidden agenda - forget I asked.

Yes, I am well aware of the spiritual battle , and Satan’s ploys -Although I am not too sure he is quietly going about his business these days !
However we have been talking about the photo here, and it has been used in a negative way - so I was merely asking if you had any thoughts on it, It just made no sense to me at all.
Rita
I don't comment on what I don't know about. The photo op was one such incident which I did not see so no comment.

It’s the title of the thread - and linked to the opening post x
Never mind it’s virtually impossible to have an ordinary conversation on this forum on certain subjects without getting backlash and wrong assumptions about why you are relaying things.
I am surprised it didn’t hit your news or media - hit ours really quickly, but it was quite a few days ago now.

It did hit our news but as often happens I mute what is being said on TV because they don't report on the news, they give us their opinion.

Of course, it all depends on your perspective. I have done quite a bit of reading on this subject and have tried to understand the story behind the story as there is always one, and putting that together with what I already know about the situation, what I saw was the agitators behind all this who are trying to use if for their own end to destroy the government of the USA.
When you quoted the opening post, and made the above comment I thought you had seen both the moving away of the rioters, just prior to the photo being taken, one led on to the other - so I thought you had looked into the story behind both of those things. This was why I asked you if you knew the story behind the picture being taken. Where as I now understand that you meant the story behind the much bigger picture. We were talking a cross purposes x

What was truly amazing was how the VAST media fought against Trump, but so many people saw through their lies! He got elected. I like the Youtube videos the morning after Trump won. The media was STUNNED! lol

Is there a lot of hatred for Trump there?

I can't speak for the UK - but there is a LOT of hatred for Trump here in Australia. There's also a number of more silent people who are optimistic about Trump as well. (Silent because even here in Australia - if you advertise you like Trump - you'll be disowned by many - I kid you not - sadly, many of the haters seem to be very judgmental and willing to give up friendships and more for their hatred).

I think there is a mixture of responses to him, not sure he helps himself with what he says on his twitter account. Both me and my son tend to weigh things up as it all goes along, thought Trump was really good when things were getting difficult in the Middle East and something else was going on that we both thought he handled really well ( can’t recall what at the moment ! ) There has been disrespect at times, which I have not agreed with. However I don’t think he has been conveying himself well through the recent problems - but I am not completely sure our own leaders have either- although I had major problems with our own leaders in how they handled the Brexit issue.
I do dislike being labelled a Trump hater though, because I don’t hate him- and I have no real opinion on what difference he has made within your country - my son has a number of friends that he regularly talks to within the USA - I think there response are very mixed.
On the other hand I cannot stand Biden , there is just something about him that I find a bit creepy and unnerving - so I sure hope he doesn’t get in when you have the next election , for all your sakes !! Rita

Rita you have missed my point. The story behind the story is not something that happens with a photo op. The story behind the story is not spoken about or revealed because people like Antifa do not want you to know that the one thing that they are focused on is destroying the legitimate government, whether it is Republican or Democrat. When you understand the modus operandi, you know that Satan is an angel of light, so he is not going to stand at the top of the steps with his pitchfork and breathing out flames. He is quietly going about his business through people like Antifa.

Hey I still believe we have some real news media in Australia, and the majority of it is probably true with what we hear on the news here in Aus about various things.

Maybe you recall it, but when safe schools was coming in, and being reported on, you could see the concern on the faces of the senior news readers/reporters on both channel 7 and 9.

I have even seen the far left complain on social media about our Aussie news media.

Anyway Trump, Trump's tweets and mouth gets himself into the news headlines a lot, so I don't think you can completely blame the news media.

The only real news media that I bother myself with is the Australian and the Spectator. And for TV news I go for the SBS because for most of the time they don't report on rubbish.

I blame any media outlet as they can decide what they will or will not report on and they can decide whether they report something or give an opinion.

Yes, the bigger picture is always the most interesting and informative one. xx Am I allowed to do that?

@marksmen
Is there a story behind the story with the photo opportunity, seriously asking as all we have seen is the photo op and the reference to how he got rid of the people in the park, to get to the photo op. I mean I am just trying to fit that picture into the context of what was going on around him. Was there any explanation / message that went with it.
If anyone can answer your question, I'd like to know myself. What was the point? He waved a Bible, uttered some platitudes, and then called people over to have their photo taken. I heard (don't know if it's true) that it was Hope Hicks' idea. I found that hard to believe since I always thought she was a very sensible person. It could have been Hope together with Ivanka who cooked the idea up since I know they get along with each other well. Maybe it was Hope's Bible and she slipped it to Ivanka. I can't imagine it could have been Ivanka's Bible.

The best guess I have is Trump was annoyed when the news came out about him taking refuge in the bunker below the White House. Ha, built by Obama! He may have thought it made him look cowardly so he needed to appear in public to put on a show of strength. Then later he said he was only inspecting the bunker. Righto!

That would have been far better than African scarves over Pelosi and Schumer. As if they really care.
I admit to being influenced to making that remark by Samuel Adams who said, "Patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel." If you want to convince people you're a Christian, use a Bible. If you want to convince people you're a patriot, use the flag as a prop.

Many Trump supporters in the US were silent before the election. All the polls had Hillary winning. The media was in shock the day after the election. It was great! lol
