'I exhort therefore,
that, first of all,
supplications, prayers, intercessions,
and giving of thanks,
be made for all men;
For kings, and for all that are in authority;
that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life
in all godliness and honesty.
For this is good and acceptable
in the sight of God our Saviour;'
(1 Tim. 2:1-3)
Hello there,
@Debp,
The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (Kier Starmer) is a lawyer by profession, so is not going to do anything unlawful. He is also an honourable man, and one who does not act without careful thought and consultation.
You should not believe all that you read in the press. in the media, or online about anybody or anything. We are asked to pray for all in authority over us, and that includes such men in high office, who have very important roles to play in world affairs.
It is easy to condemn, but that is not what we are called upon to do. We voted them into office, and have the power to vote them out again. May God give us the grace and the wisdom to do so wisely: but until then we must let them do what they believe to be right,
within the law, and commit them to God. Who alone, knows the end from the beginning.
May God's Will be done.
For His Name & Glory's Sake
In Christ Jesus
Our risen and glorified
Saviour, Lord, and Head.
Amen
