Let's play then...

Philippians 2:9

Highly exalted (clearly wasn't before!)...You cant highly exalt someone if they preexisted as an exalted being
Given a name (how so, if he already had one?)

Well we can dive into this but you need to start a different thread.

Read the verses before 9. I already gave them to you 5-8

He EMPTIED Himself of that exaltation. So yes, He DID exist as GOD. In the form of God's Word.

Jesus has a beginning - he was given life
God does not have a beginning nor an end. That is why the Bible says that Jesus is FROM EVERLASTING TO EVERLASTING.

How do people get so thoroughly confused about basic Bible doctrine? Since Jesus said " I AM THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE" how could He be "given" life? Looks like you do not really study the Bible.

Philippians 2:8 He humbled himself, by becoming obedient to the point of death —even death on a cross!

If you think Paul is expounding Triniterian dogma here you are sadly mistaken.

It is:

Son of God ---> Son of Man (slave)
Not
God ----> Son of Man (slave)

Enjoy

Revelation 1:18 - that's the whole point of him being the firstfruits of them that sleep! Only Yahweh is without a beginning and an end as you say.

Makes me laugh really - those that think Jesus is God and here is telling everyone "hey I live forever more!"

The deluded Christian states "yeah man you always lived forever!"

So whats the point of it all?

Well, Jesus was dead and NOW he lives for evermore - first mortal to do so!

God does not have a beginning nor an end.
The bold text is true!...I wish our Christians members would see the real Christ.
They would be in awe of what was achieved in him.

Very brave of you to admit your efforts in this thread to date.
Na you know what you do! you've been doing it for a very long time - its not until someone who hasn't comes along and shows you a more profound understanding...and then you run back to what you know. You don't even have a testing spirit - blinded by lies and deceit.

The list would be so long of all that Christ received of His Father - my mind boggles with how anyone can believe Jesus had it all previous to his birth. Staggering! No need for a separate thread.

Transference.A tactic out of the adversaries playbook.

Play now, thinking all this we hold dear is something to make sport of. When you close your eyes for the last time you'll take it all very seriously then.
And for eternity will know the meaning of the warning; God is not mocked.

I see that. The atheist blaspheming troll cult.
Please don't advertise your damnation here.

The actual Mr.Ed had way more class

Well which Jesus is it you put your faith in— a Jesus with less than the human nature all other humans have, a DNA deficiency of some kind? Or a Superman Jesus who was more than any other man?

There are many good Christians who view him one way or the other.

Few recognize him to be as scripture describes him— like us.

One of many problems with your blasphemy against the holy spirit.

You also misrepresent what is actually written in Hebrews 2.

The nature of angels? Is not that of sinless perfection. Angels rebelled against God in the war in heaven.

The actual Hebrews 2 verse reads like this:
Hebrews 2:16 For surely it is not angels that he helps, but he helps the offspring of Abraham. 17 Therefore he had to be made like his brothers in every respect, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. 18 For because he himself has suffered when tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.

Jesus was tempted and suffered, fasting 40 days and nights in the desert.
He did not succumb to temptation because he was made like his brothers in every respect except being divine, he could not have a sin nature.

Why? He was begotten of God.
To insist Jesus had a sin nature is to say God's divine nature shared space with the fallen sin nature.

And while some here do insist Jesus saved himself when he saved us, because they claim he had a sin nature, that's blasphemy against the holy spirit too.
Two things: please read the KJV and stop calling Bible truth "blasphemy against the Holy Spirit".
