No, Adam was not deceived. Because God had told him directly not to eat of the fruit. Adam willfully disobeyed God's command. He was without excuse. And by that decision, it was by Adam that sin entered the world.You also need to take into account what happened in Genesis 3, and what was said to Adam as well as to Eve. Therefore Paul refers to the gullibility of Eve in his teaching: And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. (1 Tim 2:14)
When God asked Adam what had they done Adam didn't demonstrate honest character at first. He tried to blame Eve for what had transpired. When he was the one whom God had given the command first.
And Adam then told Eve.
Eve ate of the fruit because she was beguiled by the wiser serpent that exploited her innocence. Adam did not have that excuse.
