Why would I turn to a man, to know what the Spirit that lives in me says? Is it not the same Spirit peter claimed to speak by? Is peter my comforter?

“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

why would I make peter a mediator between me and God? Isn’t their one mediator between God and man, I’d say there is, and it’s not peter.

“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭2:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

why would peter, a man, teach that men need to turn to him to know what god said?

“Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭2:22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

But again, you are reading into this. :) Nowhere is Peter saying they should make him a mediator between them and God.

May I ask why you are against Biblical teaching? It was the teaching of the apostles that taught you about the Holy Spirit, yes? You are quoting the apostles in making your argument. Or is it Peter in particular that you have more issues with?

Just trying to figure out why your opposition to Peter's words.

“We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭1:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

He certainly is making himself a mediator.

I don’t need to take heed to peter, if Christ is the husband of the church, why would I turn to another to know what He says? I’m not married in thought to peter, and don’t need to be.

What is it, specifically, about Peter's statement in 2 Peter 1:19 that makes you think he is accounting himself to be a mediator?

I have a lot of problems with Peter.

I'm sorry to hear that.

I don’t have a problem with scripture at all, but I don’t eat it like it is nourishment or life. I use scripture to check and correct myself, the writers of scripture are not my authority. IF we are born of the same spirit, then they are my brothers not my Father, and we should be of the same mind. If I’m thinking something I go to the scriptures, to see if what I’m thinking is correct, If I cannot find where two or more witness to what I’m thinking I know it’s not true. I don’t let men tell me what I should or shouldn’t be seeing or hearing, I don’t need “evidence” or to follow signs of what I don’t see and don’t need men to explain what it “really means”.

I really do not know why you are trying to make up excuses against... what Paul taught in Hebrews 6, which clearly... shows about a 'believer' that once tasted of the heavenly gift and powers of the world to come, but fell away. And then Paul showed for those that do that, it is impossible to renew their salvation, seeing they would be crucifying Christ afresh. That is a Scripture evidence of blasphemy against The Holy Spirit, because it means to turn away and NO LONGER BELIEVE. To reject The Holy Spirit after having been given PROOF BEYOND ALL DOUBT is unpardonable, as shown there.

Now if you have a problem with that Hebrews 6 Scripture showing that, don't try to milly-mouth me just because I showed you and you refused to believe it, take your false argument and accusations to Lord Jesus Christ, and see if He will listen to your mumblings.

I need no excuse, and there is no excuse for what you are teaching.

We are talking 2 different sets of scripture here, what Jesus said and what Paul said. And no, there is no way I'm going to listen to or even consider such nonsense. And no, it is your mumblings Christ will have a serious problem with, because you chose the word of men over his word, when you chose a sugar coated version of scripture, and whats worse, to teach it to others.

You are saying Christ was wrong in stating blaspheming the Holy Spirit is not what Christ said it was, that simple. You changed the meaning completely because you are unable to discern what has happened here, and instead of using simple common sense, you choose to listen to men over Christ, men who chose to figure out a way to sugar coat a serious part of the bible so no one was offended by the truth.

You've been decieved by another "easy, less offensive than the truth" teaching of man, and in turn, you are trying to decieve others with the lie. If you wish to teach a false docterine, that is on you, but I will always believe Christ said Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit was Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, and that those who did such a thing will not be forgiven... nothing more, nothing less.

If all scripture is God-breathed, by this reasoning you need not read any of the Bible or know what it says, unless you are saying that what Peter in particular wrote was not God-breathed.

Is this what you are saying?

more than just peter, there are plenty of serpents That camouflage themselves in those leaves, and we still sew those leaves together to justify ourselves.

“Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:39-40‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I don’t need Matthew, mark, luke, John, Paul, Peter, or the writer of Hebrews, etc.... There is only one through which salvation can be found he didn’t write books. Although, he inspired some of them to write what they saw and heard, as a testimony of him.

Ok. Then which writers of scripture do you consider to have been inspired by God, and which do you consider to have been serpents camouflaged in the leaves?

doesn’t Isaiah tell you?

“To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭8:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

If that was the response from Isaiah, he didn't answer the question either, Lol.

You don't wish to answer me now?

Right now? No, I’m not really in a position that I can, if you want to actually discuss it I definitely would and could explain exactly what I think and why. But, right now I can’t.
