Tone it down a notch please.
Not only do I enjoy your use of the word 'prevaricated' . . . but if this is true, that there is no sin found in the true Christian's life, no one could even know whether this were true of them or not, as the Bible makes clear we are not fit judges of ourselves, in 1 Corinthians 4. Only Jesus knows us well enough to judge us.No, sorry, you actually didn't. Or, if you did you prevaricated and your answer was totally unclear.
So I will ask it again hoping for a clear and concise answer, but I'm not holding my breath.
Then do you mean that you do not know any 'real born again Christians' including yourself?
And some people are doing it back to you.I hold no I’ll will towards anyone here.
I am just doing this:
James 5:19-20
[19] Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; [20] Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
Also, follow David's example. Psalm 32I would say, Stop. And return to enjoying your fellowship with God.
And, If I've hurt another by my fleshy works, go and make it right with them. Apologize. Make restitution.
We are already reconciled to God, and if we've already received that reconciliation, then, we are reconciled to Him.
I find I generally want to apologize to God just the same!
Much love!
Tone it down a notch please.
I'm just not sure if what they're saying is considered reportable or not
1 John 1:8-9A real born again Christian does not sin:
1 John 3:9
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin
Nor does he do “fleshly works”, for:
Galatians 5:24
...they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
And furthermore, There is no future re-reconciliation.
Hebrews 10:26
For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins
In any case, with the verses above - context is NOT your friend . . .
Because all of our PAST sins HAVE been taken away when we come to Christ. You have a false context.
Here’s the true context:
Romans 6:15
...shall we sin...? ...God forbid.
1 John 3:9
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin
So the pet verse of the slaves to sin:
1 John 1:8
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
...Contextually applies to those who aren’t saved because the verse says:
“The truth is not in him”
Born again believers have the truth in them (Christ; John 14:6) and John made it clear that:
1 John 3:9
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin
And YOUR other problem is this; we are told over and over again in scripture that our sins were taken away: So how can a true born again believer have sin if his sins were taken away and he can no longer commit sin?
This is why YOU avoided addressing James 5:16, which I presented in my last post.
James tells his BORN AGAIN readrs to "Confess your sins...".
It's ALSO why you avided 1 Tim. 1:15 where Paul refers to himself as "Chief" of sinners, and NOT in the past tense.
ERROR, past sins are already forgiven, scripture, Romans 3:25 "Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;"Obviously this is referring to past sins based on the context that born again believers “do not commit sin”.
now what about those sins that you now committ?
ERROR, I'll speak on past later, but now.... 1 John 3:9, other word they don't practice Sin. which means, the customary, habitual, or expected procedure or way of doing of something. You don’t sin if you’re born again. So those scriptures refer to the unsaved claiming to have no sin while not believing the gospel.
1 John 3:9
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin
So confessing of sins is referring past sins that were forgiven when you first repented before God.
Have you ever gave a testimony of how you lived before getting saved?
There you go; that’s confessing your sins one to another.
now, did not our Lord command us to be PERFECT as our Heavenly Father is..... Matthew 5:48 "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." so Michiah-Imla, (don't LIE), are you perfect right now since you say you don't SIN". so are you perfect now? yes or NO.
I have a beef for the TRUTH. and no, perfection, it don't make the scriptures a lie, but it makes you. because you try to make it, the scriptures, out that you never sin, after being born again. and the scriptures are clear, yes, right there in the same BOOK, 1 John 1:8 "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.". you have no clue what the scripture is actually is saying. THAT'S MY BEEF, if it's any. look, perfection, do not mean no errors. Understand, I'm about edifying, and not destruction. example about perfection. in baseball, the player, Reggie Jackson, he was called, Mr. October, because he hit the most home runs in that month. but did you know, he struck out more time than he hit the home runs. see that old adage, "PRACTICE", makes perfect, TRUE. see, if one is Born of God, they want "PRACTICE" sin, and we are a work of God, and he's not finish with us ... yet. because he's the author and ... "Finisher" of our Faith, and we must LIVE by his FAITH.What’s your beef man?! Even if I ain’t perfect, does that make the scripture a lie because in your mind it states to do the impossible?
but now.... 1 John 3:9, other word they don't practice Sin. which means, the customary, habitual, or expected procedure or way of doing of something.
did not our Lord command us to be PERFECT as our Heavenly Father is..... Matthew 5:48 "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."
Ch 2 Vs. 1 make it pretty clear too.The book of 1 John was written to Christians. The apostle says, “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:8–9). It is clear from this passage that even those who have been born again and redeemed by the blood of Jesus will still sin. Through thought, attitude, or action, we will “grieve” (Ephesians 4:30) and “quench” (1 Thessalonians 5:19) the Holy Spirit at times. But this passage also reassures us that God offers continual, ongoing grace whenever we agree with Him about our sin and ask for His cleansing.
