What is New Testament Holiness?

[Eternally Grateful]

There will always be those who feel threatened by the truth that exposes them and thus resist the truth. We see that with every thread that I start, There is no wisdom against the wisdom of God. So then many will hurl all manner of abuse my way...but without any substance...just ad hominem attacks based on foolish pride. What we don't see is any actual discussion that refutes even the smallest point I am making. It's like being in a remedial class for obstinate children.

Modern religious types cannot endure sound doctrine...as prophesied. See, modern believers are mentioned in the Bible.

2 Tim. 4:3 "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;"

My teaching is true according to the depths of Christ. His sheep hear His voice.

However. I am worried about those who may follow you. Because you can not lead them to God with your non gospel..

By simple you mean dogmatic...what the masses are able to hear. (I will address this in the next podcast...wait for it) But God can instruct even the simple into His ways. Dumbing down the ways of God for the sake of the simple ones has succeeded in filling the pews...but not the kingdom of God. Modern believers have not known God's ways...being stiff-necked and unbroken...just like the Israelites of old. But repentance can get God's attention..and His instruction.

The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

I know...sounds "esoteric" to carnal ears. :)

OR we are too religious . What they cannot do is BRING SCRIPS TO BACK THEMSELVES UP WITH .

also watch out for a big catch phrase of theirs . They love to say you have ROSE COLORED glasses
and they imply it to mean you , me or others are seeing the doctrine , the scrips through religoin .
BUT ITS THEY WHO SEE IT THROUGH RELIGOIN . Through a truth that came of men
that said and told them to take GOD out of the box ,
they spoke half truths and used those half truths to break down ABSOLUTE TRUTH
make it into a liquid , then reshaped into into their own absolute truth they now aboslutely believe
EVEN THOUGH they holler there is no absolute truth .
Watch out for they are amongst us . ITS they who see the scrips through their own inclusive rose colored glasses .

For you, depth means complicated. That is because you are out of your depth so that you reduce the words of God to something your carnal mind can reason with. The words of the LORD are plain to those who follow HIM .

Yes....unfortunately that is the way that seemeth right to man but leads to death.....wisdom of the world and flesh, not God's wisdom. People believing they are righteous and in good standing because of their own righteousness rather than submitting to the righteousness of Christ. Sounds anti-Christ to me! Its the very thing that blinded the Pharisees and religious of Jesus' day, the belief that they were already righteous and didn't need Him.

Among other things, these behaviors incite emotional energy. Increased emotional energy can be addictive. Getting someone to continue to respond in these negativity-based interactions can give the brain shots of dopamine or endorphins or various neurotransmitters, that literally turn into addictions.

Someone who is consistently baiting and belittling/judging/negatively characterizing others/_______ may be acting out of such an addiction.

We ARE called to judge those who are within...especially those who judge others because of a religious bent. But only God can judge people that are not found within the faith.

People outside the church have not made a commitment to Christ. We can't expect them to be judged by the same standard as those who have publicly claimed allegiance to Christ. Those who are not against us are for us.

Again...the irony. So many modern type believers justify themselves based on a religious belief that is really just a conflict of interest....the flesh looking for a way to "get saved." Those who seek to save their life will lose it. The righteous don't think they are righteous...only the self-righteous think that way. The humble don't think they are humble. same idea.

The bible doesn't say..."And Abraham believed God and he counted to himself for righteousness" (that's what many here have done). Likewise the Publican didn't go home thinking he was righteous. If people had a little more understanding of these things....
