All I can tell you is how others have been helped to rid themselves of a besetting sin. Have you fasted and prayed?

    @batheltler01,

You have a measure of faith in you.

Why not try using the measure of faith that you have to attempt to obtain a greater measure of faith?

    Keep seeking Him.

    Don't give up.

Jer 29:13, And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Deu 4:29, But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

As long as there is breath in you, there is hope for repentance.

Probably not. It probably means that He is testing you to see just how serious you are about ridding yourself of this habitual sin.

Please answer this one question with a yes or a no:
Do you despise/hate the Blood of Christ?

How can I know that there will be a chance he will soften my heart? I'm struggling to believe that he will.
Is there not a greater chance that the longer I live, the more sin I will commit and the worse my condemnation will be?

I hope you are right. How can I be confident that this is happening and that I have not become like Esau?

I don't believe so. I find myself feeling extremely angry/hateful towards the Lord at times but those times are met with immediate asking the Lord to remove those inclinations. Is that the same this as hating his blood?

It sounds like the Lord is just having you in a state where He is showing you more clearly your sin.

    He loves you.

Have you come to the place where in your heart you have adopted the saying that is written in 1 Timothy 1:15?

He may simply be showing you the reality of Jeremiah 17:9.

When you come to the revelation of your own sinfulness, the revelation of His grace in your life will only produce that much more gratitude.

    See Luke 7:36-50, 1 John 4:19, Romans 5:5.

Also would like to add, that if this is about looking at porn then watching a man perform sexual acts on a woman is homosexual in nature. Maybe this will help Christ give you that same gag response that you get when trying to drink alcohol to soothe your wound. Also this is someone’s daughter possibly even a future daughter of God that’s being viewed for self gratification.
    Hope this helps.

I think it is similar to psychopathy - if you are worried about being a psychopath, you are not a psychopath. People who are beyond repentance either have no idea they are headed for damnation or could care less.

No, it is not the same!
If you have been saved by the Lord, He will never leave you or forsake you, as you walk/live life in Him by faith.
Remember, living by feelings or emotions is not the evidence of faith. We are to trust God as a little child trusts it's parent(s).

However, if in your relationship with Him, you have literally and verbally rejected Him, as complaining to Him, that you wished you never were born again of His Holy Spirit, and that He should remove Himself from your life, that would be the act of "despising" the Blood of His covenant, whereby you were sealed (saved) unto the Day of your salvation. That is the act of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.

The word "blasphemy" means to talk injuriously against. To pierce another inwardly, by words.

The fact that you are troubled by your current condition says that you are NOT like Esau who treated his godly inheritance with contempt--without a thought about it. You need the strengthening that comes from other believers gathering around you and praying for you to hand this part of you to the Holy Spirit and then you need to go to war against it. The weapons of war are listed in Ephesians 6. There are a number of ways to war against the power of darkness. Have you put any of the suggestions that others have made into place? Fasting and prayer is a good place to start. Believing friends might fast and pray with you.

Have you asked yourself how you could "hate" the only remedy for sin? That is like hating the medicine you must take to deal with a disease. Wouldn't it be better to hate the disease?

Yes, that's a highly concerning reality. I have no reason to feel such resistance or hatred towards the Lord. It was shocking in the beginning to, in an instant, "hate" someone you've loved more deeply than life. But I can't escape it. I'm fighting with my mind to reject these feelings but they are overwhelming and I do not see the Lord removing them from me even when I ask. I see no movement of the Holy Spirit. This causes me to believe I have been given over to being an enemy of Christ.

I've seen enough from you to be convinced that the enemy of your soul has deceived you into believing that. You must be a "high value target" for him--to have sent the horde after you. Do you know anyone in a deliverance ministry? He or she would need to be highly recommended so that you are not taken in by a charlatan--and there are lots of crooks in deliverance ministry. That person would be the one "on the ground" to lead you through the steps of repentance. Fasting and prayer are usually a part of the deliverance.

I feel a deep apathy towards the things of the Lord. I feel myself being pulled more deeply into this place of resistance towards Christ and find that my sin looks more desirable. This is deeply concerning in light of eternity. My fear seems to be coming from a place of mental acknowledgement of what is occurring. Instead of a brokenness of heart over my sin against the Lord. This is why I believe I have been given over to my sin like Esau. My question now is, in light of the fact that I can't change this situation, what do I do now? Is death not a better reality for me than continuing to be forced down a road of having to walk contrary to the gospel?

You are NOT forced--God says, in His word, that no temptation is so powerful that He has failed to give us a way of escape. You must fight.
