1 Corinthians 15:24-26
24 Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death.

Notice that Paul says that Jesus is reigning now but not where Jesus is reigning. So where does Jesus reign? David tells us

Psalm 110 Of David.
A psalm.
1 The Lord says to my lord:

“Sit at my right hand
until I make your enemies
a footstool for your feet.”

Jesus is reigning now not on earth but seated at the right hand of the Father where He will stay until He puts all of His enemies under His feet using them for a foot stool.

Marty your right in part but haven’t gone far enough. Yes all power and authority has been given to Christ. When the last enemy, death, is destroyed he is expected the deliver the kingdom unto the Father. This event is recorded in the last chapter of revelation. Where John begins to worship the one speaking to him but he tells John not to do it but worship God. As Paul also went on to say that God my be all in all.

Christ told a parable about a nobleman leaving to receive a kingdom for himself(Luk. 19) because the disciples assumed He would immediately begin His rule as King. Gabriel was 100% clear when he told Mary that when Christ ruled as King, it would be from David's throne(Luk. 1:32), and that throne is NOT in Heaven. It is on earth, and God promised to David that it would forever be on earth.

Jesus was the only one to be on David’s throne forever David’s literal earthly throne failed when his descendants failed to be faithful that was the condition and that’s why no one is on the earthly throne now

It has not failed. It is not time yet.

Yes, humans failed to remove all sin from their existence. How hard can it be to give up one's self desires?

But then how come the failed condition came to pass?

Obviously there were two separate thrones one earthly and one in heaven

If you are talking about the earthly throne in Jerusalem that has not been set up yet, look at the parable of the vineyard. Matthew 21:40-41

40 When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen?

41 They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons.

The vineyard was taken from the Nation of Israel and handed to the NT church.

At the Second Coming the vineyard will be taken from the church and handed to Satan.

My educated guess would be that that last generation church failed to bring in the last harvest. Now Satan gets the vineyard and his season of fruit, will be all those who are beheaded. If all those about to be beheaded were gathered into the church before the Second Coming, Satan would not need 42 months in the vineyard to gather that last bunch of fruit.

Satan will then sit on the throne in Jerusalem until his time of harvest is over, then the Lord will return and start the Millennium.

The church should be looking for that final harvest and the soon to happen Second Coming. Seems some just expect Satan to take over the throne and many will loose their heads to recieve eternal life.
