This is a sad massacre of the word of God, ironically you reference Hebrews 6 as Paul speaking too Christians.
Why would a Christian tell a fellow believer to

Well of course, that's why scripture says study to show thyself approved.

Now I consider that I am very studied to shew myself approved (I continue to read through all of the epistles once per week, the gospels, Acts and Revelation once per month, Psalms and Proverbs twice per month each, and other things in the OT at a lesser rate);

And I do not consider that there is anything wrong with what he said...

So, maybe you could break his words down for us; and show us how they are inconsistent with the holy scriptures, if in fact they are.
crickets...

Christians can and do sin. They do not practice sin, but can sin.
In Acts5 sin did not "bounce off Annanias and Sappharia when they were cut off.
Sin does not bounce off those who took the Lord's supper in an ungodly manner.
28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.

29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

They were not condemned with the world but judged.

29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

“ Unworthily” is an adverb, used to describe the MANNER of partaking , NOT the person partaking.Nobody is “ Worthy”—- we are “MADE” Worthy by the Blood Of The Lamb.Jesus said, in reference to Communion, “ do this in REMEMBRANCE OF ME.” These people were doing everything BUT remembering what Jesus had done for them by shedding His Blood. They were gorging themselves with food and drinking to the point of drunkenness.Worse, they had their eyes on themselves and their pitiful performances instead of keeping their eyes on Christ .....they had lost sight of the fact that the Gospel was all about why God did for “ us”.........NOT what we do for God.....
Deluding one’s self into thinking that they are somehow “ worthy” to partake, is the common error made at the Communion Table—- This Table is the “LAST” place to look at yourself and “ how you are doing”—— Keep your eyes on Christ —- do as commanded.....take Communion like Jesus said.. “ Do this In Remembrance Of M E”......... not YOU! Take the elements and thank God for His Grace.....God Bless....

If you look at it in perspective of Matthew 5:27-30, lust is a sin the moment it is conceived...it is adultery.

Conceived is the key. James 1:14-15 And conceived is only after dwelling on the lust. It is not when a lustful thought first comes into your mind, because that can be resisted.

Hello Blood Bought,

Are you sure? Paul tells us to examine ourselves before we eat, and of course there's

Therefore, if you bring your gift to the altar, and there recall that your brother has anything against you,

leave your gift there at the altar, go first and be reconciled with your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

But you are right that none of us are worthy in and of ourselves...

It is Jesus who cleanses us and makes us pure, and who empowers us by the Holy Spirit, to boldly approach the throne of Grace.

But can we approach if we do not allow Him to wash our feet?

Peace be with you!

Conceived is the moment it comes into existence.

No it isn't. Did you not read the text? You can still resist it and the devil will flee.

14 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. 15 Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.

Temptation; then, sin is conceived when it comes into existence. This doesn't preclude that lust itself isn't a sin. For in Matthew 5:27-30, it is clear that lust itself is likened to adultery by our Lord and Saviour.

1 John 2:15-16 also places lust as being adverse to the love of the Father in a person's life.

Lust is a temptation. Those thoughts are from the devil. Resist the devil and he will flee.

Lust is a sin. It is adultery according to Jesus in Matthew 5:27-30 and sin unto John in 1 John 2:15-16.

Lust is only a sin when it is dwelt on, or from deliberately watching porn. But when it is off the wall and you resist it and it is gone, that wasn't a sin.

See James 1:14-16.

A man cannot be unborn spiritually...but he can die spiritually.

You seem to be a person who believes that Faith is the Savior.
Faith is not the Savior.
Jesus is the Savior.
God saves you thru your Faith, ONCE... and the proof of this is that you are born again. = once.

James, when talking about dead faith, does not say that anyone is lost who is in this spiritual condition, and neither should you.

James says that He will show other people his Faith by his works. So, all those verses are talking about "fruit proving", in front of other people.
This is why James says.. "I'll show. YOU my faith =by my works
Not God.

So, that is what those verses in James are talking about.

And I most certainly was not referring you to James chapter 2.

I also qualified my understanding of James 1:14-16 by comparing it to John 11:25-27; and then gave explanation of what I think the verses mean when understood together.

You sin everyday. Your self righteous posts are exceedingly sinful.

Not sure how you make that declaration for another person you do not know.

But tell us first-hand about what you Do know...yourself.
For Example; What Sins did you commit yesterday?

Glory to God,

Readers..
are you born again??
Are you "In Christ"?
There is no sin in there..
Are you under the law or under Grace.
"sin" is gone, as it died with Christ on the Cross.
"If we say we have no sin", then that is true, as Jesus has it.
But if im talking to a group of unbelievers, and they don't want to admit they have sin, or are sinners..
Then, i would say...."listen, if we say we have no sin"..
But, im not talking about me, and neither is John.
We are talking about them.

I would point out that Romans 3:23 says that all have sinned and come short (present tense) of the glory of the Lord.

In Galatians 3:22 it is clear that the scripture has concluded all under sin.

In 1 John 1:8, therefore, when John says, "we" he is including himself.

Therefore, if anyone says that they have no sin, they are deceiving themselves and the truth is not in them.

J, all of these beliefs of yours are BEFORE coming to Christ. But I expect you are accusing the children of God. When the Spirit of God is in you, all of those are past tense. Don't you know that is the reason Jesus came???

But there are still today in the present, many who don't have Christ.
