Oh goodness....The Holy Spirit poured out upon all flesh the Trutho_O

Sooooooo if the Holy Spirit did as you theorize it did then why does everyone teach a different Truth if the Truth was poured out onto all of us? You got a pouring of the Truth, Marymog got a pouring of the Truth, Joe Smith and Sally Johnson got a pouring of the Truth etc etc...But we all have a different Truth!!

Is the Holy Spirit confused or are you?
I was quoting scripture. God promised He would pour out His spirit upon all flesh through Joel the prophet, it was arranged by Christ, began on Pentecost, and was confirmed by Peter.

These things are all written, just as confusion was, and strong delusion...under which you have been a victim--but also the revealing of all truth, to those who hear His voice.

Ok....so we are in agreement that He remained with some.

Clement of Rome, Ignatius of Antioch and Polycarp were students of the Apostles. Were any of them savage wolves who were speaking perverse things to draw away the disciples?
God knows. The point is--some were, just as it is written.

Once again....you are being condescending but I suspect that is in your nature and you can't stop it so I forgive you.

What "history" are you speaking of ?
I have been telling you God's truth. If that sounds condescending to you...there must be a reason.

The history of the church.

No, you have not been telling me God's Truth (big "T"). You have been giving me YOUR truth (small "t") OR your opinion. If you THINK you are giving me God's Truth then you must THINK you are a prophet....of which we both know you are not.

Also, what you have written is not 'the history of the church'. What you have written is, once again, your opinion. AND you ARE condescending...

Keeping it real...Mary

Interesting...in another post you said you have been giving me God's truth. Now when I ask you a simple question concerning 3 men that have written OPPOSITE of what you have written your response is "God knows" if those men were savage wolves who were speaking perverse things to draw away the disciples.

So, either YOU are the savage wolf or THEY are the savage wolves since your written teachings are opposite of those 3 men. So, can you, like you previously stated, give me God's truth or not? I am leaning strongly towards the NOT!

Let's be honest here Scott. You were quoting Scripture OUT OF CONTEXT. The passage you are referring to in Acts and Joel refer to the last days. You 'accidently'(?) left that important part out. If we were in fact in the last days then it would be as it is written; ‘In the last days it will be, God declares,
that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh,
and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
and your young men shall see visions,
and your old men shall dream dreams.
18 Even upon my slaves, both men and women,
in those days I will pour out my Spirit;
and they shall prophesy.
19 And I will show portents in the heaven above
and signs on the earth below,
blood, and fire, and smoky mist.
20 The sun shall be turned to darkness
and the moon to blood,

NONE of those things are happening Scott
so we are not in the "last days" when God would "pour out His Spirit upon all flesh". Please stop twisting Scripture.

Thanks Robert for your opinion. I will stick with Scripture which says opposite of what you have 'proven to yourself': Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account,

Keep watch over yourselves and over all the flock, of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God that he obtained with the blood of his own Son.

You are correct Mary, they are appointed to shepherd the flock in their care. Make no mistake however, throughout our history there has been many led astray from false shepherds, no doubt you have heard of Korah and what happened to those of us who sided with him. Imagine where the faith would be if we had been obedient to those anointed shepherds of the Sanhedrin who had the highest authority at the time by God, we would have not followed Jesus, but remember what some of us told them? Acts 5:29

We are still imperfect maam, and still not immune to corruption in the congregation. I know some elders that have personally abused their position, and have been told by a Circuit Overseer that some entire congregations had to be shut down because of wrongdoing. It has plagued Jehovah's people from the start.

I fail to see that if you consciously obey a shepherd to disobey God, that you think you are free from blame. That simply does not make sense to me. Know this as well, satan was not only perfect but was an angel when he deceived Eve, yet God held her accountable. I fully agree with you that the shepherds of the faith are accountable for their actions, but just because they approve of you to do something that violates scripture, especially if you know it does, that there is no accountability with you. Best to know Jehovah's regulations and obey them, that is what Jehovah wants, and the greatest way we show our love for Him maam 1 Jn 5:3

What I have told you Jesus, Peter, and Paul first said. Now I declare it to you and you reject it. Go figure, you are your father's daughter. I am finished with you--you are finished.

I spoke nothing of my own, but repeated the words of the three which you reject, preferring your own three.

Peter confirmed what I have said. But you believe neither him nor I, but have chosen to believe those who have made a religion out of a lie in his name.

You have believed a lie and your fate has been foretold.

Oh goodness.....That is your defense? Peter confirmed what you said? Seriously....o_O

Soooooo show me in the entire 2,000 history of Christianity that Peter "confirmed" what you believe. When has in the last 2,000 years our sons and your daughters shall prophesy, young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams slaves, they shall prophesy portents in the heaven above and signs on the earth below, blood, and fire, and smoky mist sun shall be turned to darkness and the moon to blood'

Either give me evidence this has happened. Without that evidence, what you have said is a complete lie.

Oh...I am finished???? You crack me up Scott.

You TWIST what Jesus, Peter and Paul said. You REJECT other passages from Scripture that is opposite of what you believe.

You then "declare it" to me that you are right and that I am finished????????? Oh goodness.....

At the end of your very first post (#212) you wrote: All authority remains with the Holy Spirit of God.

Well, what your puffed up pride should have written is: All authority remains with ScottA. I mean, after all, YOU declared it to ME. Right??? The Holy Spirit didn't declare it to me and teh Holy Spirit didn't tell me I'm finished. YOU DID!!! :)

But I guess you have been given that authority....to DECLARE the Truth and FINISH a person??? Lol....

Keeping it real....Mary
