This is a deviation from the text. The Second Coming does not destroy the image. The first coming is the rock that was cut out, and it grew until it destroyed the image at the ten toes. Before I deal with the horn of the goat, I'd like to briefly recap on something from the image of Daniel 2 and stress something that is very important. What we know of the image is that there are just 4 kingdoms or empires from the beginning of Babylon to the second coming. These four are destroyed by the rock of Christ at His coming. That means 2 things.
"Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces."
"And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever."
The ten toes are the 5th Kingdom left in the destruction of western Rome. Eastern Rome was not even based in Rome. So there was a 5th kingdom that was part Rome, but was not the Rome of the 4th kingdom. The church started to grow during the 4th kingdom and the image was totally destroyed by the time of the Reformation, that also saw the demise of the 5th kingdom. The 6th kingdom was not even mentioned in Daniel at all. Daniel only covered the first 5 kingdoms at best.
Daniel does not go all the way to the Second Coming as pertaining to the image of Daniel 2. Daniel may cover the 6th kingdom but not as part of the image.
Because John covers all 6 kingdoms does not necessarily mean the first 5 had any influence at all. In fact John wrote the first five had fallen. Not in the first century, but in covering the the point in relationship to the Second Coming. Revelation 17:9-10
"And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space."
So this is Jerusalem in relation to Babylon, the Medes and Persians, Greece, Rome, and the ten toes. All 5 fallen in the past. The 6th one brings us to the Second Coming.
The other is not yet come, and when He cometh, He must continue a short space. John is referring here to the Second Coming, and the point that Jesus is declared King at the 7th Trumpet.
Because there is an 8th kingdom that John is witness to. This 8th kingdom is one of the 7 heads. That means the 7th Kingdom is not one of the heads of the dragon, the beast out of the sea, nor this scarlet colored beast.
This means John is not writing about the first century in Revelation at all. John starts in chapter 4 about events that happen during the 6th kingdom. This kingdom that may or may not be covered in Daniel at all. The little horn in Daniel is Antiochus Epiphanes. He may be a prototype of antichrist, but there have been many antichrist since Antiochus Epiphanes.
All we are told about the 8th kingdom is that it involves 10 kings who do not even have kingdoms. They are leaders representing 10 regions, but are not the actual leaders of those regions.
"And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast."
This is one of those cases where Satan promises these 10 leaders they will receive a promise, if they do his bidding, but that promise is never realized. These kings are destroyed at Armageddon. They do not get their kingdoms as they are dead.
We should know that Satan is the 8th kingdom, and the beast of perdition.
No one teaches that Jesus has already set up a kingdom prior to Satan's 8th kingdom. Satan's mystery Babylonian kingdom that will only last for a short 42 months. Revelation 13, 17, and 18 covers this 8th kingdom. That is when the FP and this AC, people try to interpret out of Daniel, takes place, after the 7th Trumpet has already sounded, and only if God extends time, past the cut off point mentioned in Revelation 10.
Now at the Second Coming, Satan does revive the 6th kingdom. That is the head miraculously restored. But not even to the glory of Rome. Certainly not to the technology of today. People tend to downplay what actually happens at the 5th and 6th Seal being opened, nor interpret them correctly.
