If you are born again, then Jesus is the author and finisher of your faith.
Hebrews 12:2
Not you.
See, God told you that you please Him by your faith, and without it you can't please God.
And, God told you to "work out your salvation", but he never told you to work out your faith.
Why?
Because you dont have to work out what Jesus is the author of, and will finish.
This is why you are told to give God your faith.. = to BELIEVE.
You are not told to work it out........you are told to OFFER IT.
James does not tell you to work it out. He tells you to let others see it so that its not observed to be dead by people who notice what you are doing in life.
So Did you offer your faith to God?
Have you?
Have you trusted in Christ? Do you have a day, and a hour when you can look back and say to your own heart and to God's also, that : "on this DAY, I trusted in Christ".
I remember that DAY !
If you can't recall the day, you certainly should be able to recall the SITUATION when you "called on the name of the Lord"..and gave Jesus your heart and were born again by the Spirit of God, and not by water.
See, im not talking about when some man, woman, or both, stuck you under water or sprinkled you.... and told you the lie that this saved you and washed your sin away.
No, im talking about you and God meeting at the Cross with your faith you gave to Him in His Son, that He accepted to give you "the righteousness of God, in Christ", and you were on the day, in that very instant... "made righteous" = "born again".
This can happen in a church, or in a car, or in a jail cell.
Do you remember when it happened to you?
So, now, today.... who has your faith?
Let me show you how to understand where you faith sits currently so that you can know if you are "in THE faith".
Jude tells you that you are to contend for the : "real faith".
The verse says....>"by one Man's obedience, many were made righteous".
The one man is Jesus.
The Obedience, was Christ on the Cross dying for all your sin.
So, is all your faith there? Or are you trying to be like Christ, so that God will have you, and keep you?
Are you trying to keep commandments, because you BELIEVE that by doing this of yourself, God will have you. ?
Are you trusting that if you continue to try to remember all your sin, and confess them, and repent of them, again....God will still keep you, if you do. ???
Is that you?
Read this verse again..
"by ONE MAN's Obedience, many were made righteous. = SAVED.... Born again.
See that?
That one Man's Obedience.... is not YOU.
So, if you are trying to be that man, that person, then the Devil has your faith.
You believe in YOU...and that is what the devil wants you to do with your faith.
However....If you are trusting in the "obedience of One", whom God sent to the Cross so that you can go to heaven, then you are trusting in Christ,..
= and God has your faith.
Be sure you get this right, as you dont want to die having gotten that wrong.
