I hate to break this to you but... we're well into the 21st century. Millions and millions of people are literate, and bibles are easily available throughout much of the world. Perhaps your Catholic denomination has drilled it into people's heads that the truth lies with the (often corrupt) priesthood and its mythology, but that is not valid.
Even Catholics such as yourself distort what the Bible clearly says. It has long been the practice of the Catholic denomination to a) distort what the Bible clearly says and b) load unscriptural ritual upon ritual, unscriptural teaching upon teaching, etc. to the point that God's(!) word has lost its proper place of prominence.
Your denomination has invented a form of Christianity that is closer to Old Testament ritual and pagan ideas than it is to the teachings of Christ as clearly expressed in the Bible. Additionally, the Catholic use of Scripture is invariably untrue and/or out of context. Examples of this are the perpetual virginity of Mary and the citing of Peter as the first Pope. Mary was a virgin until she had intercourse with Joseph and Peter was a confused, fallible man whom Jesus called "Satan" and Paul cited as a hypocrite.
Sola scriptura!
P.S. You got one thing right, although you clearly don't understand that it contradicts your whole argument. John 16:13-14, "But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. For he will not speak on his own authority, but will speak whatever he hears, and will tell you what is to come. He will glorify me, because he will receive from me what is mine and will tell it to you." The Spirit of truth will guide you into all truth, not priests or their interpretations! He will not speak on his own, but will speak the pure truth of Christ.
the “Bible alone”? Then why does it say we must be taught???
Christians must be taught
We cannot read and decide doctrine for themselves according to scripture we must be “taught”!
Lk 1:4 That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.
Matt 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Acts 8:31 And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.
One faith!
Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism.
Jude 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
One heart / one mind
Acts 4:32
And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul:
Romans 15:6
That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Apostles received the truth from Christ and are inspired by the Holy Spirit and are commanded to teach all men! Jn 8:32 Jn 16:13 Matt 28:19
Apostles have same mission, power, ministry, and authority as Christ!
Jn 20:21
