The true way has been persecuted since the ancient times. Each time God does His work, especially when He becomes flesh to do His work, He will be condemned. This is a historical law. When Jesus did His work in Judea, He was condemned and opposed by the elite in Judaism. All the Judaists followed the chief priests and scribes to reject, condemn, and resist Jesus. They even joined hands with the Roman authorities to hunt Jesus and arrest His followers. In the end, they nailed Jesus onto the cross. It is the same today. Christ of the last days has already appeared to do His work, but He is also condemned and persecuted. Just like it was when Jesus appeared to work those in Judaism condemned Him as heresy. This is a historical law. Today history repeats itself. Mankind is deeply corrupted by Satan, and they can hardly accept the truth and are apt to accept fallacies and knowledge. Whatever is popular in the world, the whole mankind will all recognize and accept it. What’s more, the truth is positive and conflicts with man’s conceptions, and so people reject the truth when it comes. They not only don’t seek but oppose and condemn it. Even the religious world, which believes in God, does the same. They lack the truth and don’t know God and the work of the Holy Spirit, so they use the limited theological theories and knowledge and their own notions and imaginations to confine the work of God that is always new and never old. Furthermore, mankind, after corrupted by Satan, is arrogant by nature, and they disobey the truth and love status. For these reasons, a tragedy in human history that the true way is persecuted and condemned is always repeated. However, the true way is the true way, and it’s always the true way. After decades since its appearance, the true way, tested by time, will be confirmed by most people in the end. When this happens, it will be less and less opposed. For example, when Christianity first emerged, it suffered great persecutions. A large number of missionaries and Christians were hunted and killed. From the day of its appearance, it began to suffer persecutions, and it is not until the last days after two thousand years that the persecutions dwindle. When Christianity first came to China, it also suffered the opposition of the Chinese government. Today, the CCP government, the main stream of the religious world in Hong Kong, and all denominations in other places condemn and persecute the Church of Almighty God. In fact, the real church becomes strong and grows up only in the persecutions and condemnations from the religious world. So, the Church of Almighty God has become more and more prosperous despite the persecutions and condemnations from the religious world and the CCP government. Now the Church of Almighty God, which has the greatest number of followers, is the largest church in the world. Why does it grow so rapidly even in such an adverse circumstance? It proves that the word of Almighty God is the truth. The truth is from God, and it’s inexorable. If it is from God, it must thrive; if it is from man, it must decay. It is proof that the Church of Almighty God is from God. If it were not accompanied by the work of the Holy Spirit and without the truth, how could it grow so fast?
