I think there are several reasons why the young generation are walking away from God...
One is the way they are getting educated... They aren't taught about God, they are taught about the pseudoscience of the big bang and evolution.

I studied engineering and simply assumed that the theory of evolution was as true... It wasn't until i looked at it closer that i realized it was not the same strict science used in engineering...
There is an anti-Christian movement that has been slowly eating away at society for decades now. We are now seeing the result of that...

This is so sad where we've ended up.
The truth will soon be undeniable to all and that day I believe is coming soon.
Shalom!

Why Millenials are leaving the Church?
As in organized religion...

Because they can't/don't play well with others.

Even if I don't believe all the things that my pastor preaches from the pulpit that doesn't mean that he is a bad guy or that he isn't my brother. Together we can accomplish a lot more than if I was all by my independent self.

So... even if he is wrong I would be more wrong by abandoning the group.
(Only if it's minor theologies)

Then we have a whole host of pastor's who have embraced sinful lifestyles as moral.
I'm not talking about debatable sins but known codified ones.
Consistency is important.

Then there's the ton of money...nuff said.

Thank You for that JohnDB
We need to be mindful and weigh everything in as to not treat leaving a church like a small decision.
That was already stated, along with addressing your post-modern concerns.

I was referring to delving deaper into a debate about seperation of church and state, not just making a statement only

See post #12.
Yep. I agree with all of that.
If there is more you can teach me about post-modernism especially in the church I would be curious to know
"post-modernism especially in the church" is way to broad of a subject to have a really productive conversation. Could you narrow down your interest at all?

A moderator is like the SCOTUS but on a minuscule level. No moderator should give a monologue of their personal opinion. It should go strictly by board rules. Work on the board rules and you might have a chance. Apply those on the correct interpretation of the law set to operate by. Maturity and experience is needed in these positions.
Alas, mods have attacked me in private. But all that matters to me is Judgment Day. All will be known!

Well, that is quite the strawman fallacy you've got going there.
See the thread about hellfire, we delve a bit into why there needs to be a hell.
Hope that helps.

Quite the straw man. I have not seen in much of the camps of Christianity people say God hates you, except the real crazy ones and all camps don't care for them. My Church says this in the final blessing before the dismissal:

God loves you. God forgives you. God is not mad at you. And God will never leave you nor forsake you.

Indeed. God hates you sounds more like the name of a heavy metal song than something you could even get out of scripture. Lol.

Fixed. Thanks for pointing that out.

I made quite the faux pas for some reason I assumed it was Josho who ask the question and was referring to the original thread that was closed I am so

Personally, I do not find Hillary a Worthy role-model for anything upstanding.
Hillary Clinton should have been put on "Ignore" for at least the last four years. However she and her husband are "untouchable" as far as the law enforcement entities are concerned. Those two should have been behind bars a long time ago.

There seemed to be an abrupt closing to the thread about that hillary clinton quote and millenials leaving church because many of them are too judgemental.

Post-modernism and subjective truth have crept into the church and many millennials are leaving because they have subscribed to this new false way of thinking where you have to accept something you don't agree with to be included as tolerant.

I believe many of them are leaving the church because sound biblical doctrines in all its forms are not being taught any more. In the majority of churches, end times teachings are not even mentioned because they are too controversial. They don't see the power of God in action...all they see are the failures many christians have w/ very little victories. Christianity is not a uniter it is a divider as Christ taught. They want to believe the world's picture of a Star Trek style utopia brought about by humanity's own merits and not upon God's.

They both have exhibited the height of moral and ethical corruption and decay, while laughing it off.

Deplorable specimens of the human race.

I think the present Dem leaders are at least as corrupt.

Deplorable People with power and a checkbook, have great influence over weak foolish people. The weak and foolish have visions of $$$$;
believing the Power of the Deplorable Person, will "enrich...them" and "protect...them", from accountability.

That in itself simply "reveals" the underhandedness of a Corrupt person...
Of Both...the One in Power with the checkbook, and the other willing to carry out the dirty deed for a promise of $$$$.

The Deplorable person- (with Power And a Checkbook): is in his nature Greedy, Dirty and Underhanded...
• They seek "Patsys" (weak and foolish) people.
Promise $$$$, Favors, protection.
The "Patsy", Accomplishes the "dirty" deal; is never PAID, or Favored, "but is protected from being held imprisoned"...Because they ARE "killed", By handsomely PAID, loyal Assassins.

And the Deplorable Person, has ZERO concerns of HOW MANY "sideline persons" (with ZERO connection to the scheme), are also killed, in the process of getting rid of the "patsy".

Seems the (cunning lesson is) the more on the "sidelines" killed...the further away, the (months and years of investigation) Trail leads Back TO the Deplorable Person's "involvement".

There is no such thing as a coincidence.
Dead people do not talk.
Socialist Marxists in US Government Are Corrupt...Because they Lie taking an OATH to uphold the Constution, when their whole intent is sit in a seat of Power, with Law making Authority, and USE that Power and Authority to UNDO the very Constitution the Gave their Word TO UPHOLD.

Deplorable, seedy, untrustworthy People.

I agree with the above but it begins in the home. I have 4 children between 22-35 , 2 boys, 2 girls. They were raised in the home knowing right from wrong and we discussed situational ethics, morals and values. They were raised biblically with moral absolutes for all people, all times and all situations. There was a strong foundation laid in our home and when high-school and college came along they could stand up and not be influenced by the culture. They all serve in the ministry in different capacities. My grandchildren are being raised the same way now and that foundation has been passed along to our next generation in our family. The church just reinforces the principles that we laid for them at it was our responsibility before God to raise up out children in the ways of God and when they get old will not depart from them.

hope this helps!!!
