There seemed to be an abrupt closing to the thread about that hillary clinton quote and millenials leaving church because many of them are too judgemental.

Post-modernism and subjective truth have crept into the church and many millennials are leaving because they have subscribed to this new false way of thinking where you have to accept something you don't agree with to be included as tolerant.

Here is a quote from Josho, "Well has this thread proven a point, it seems to me you get judged for just having a different political opinion or even trying to defend other Christians who support or vote for another political party."

Josho, my question to you is what statement's' in that thread were judgemental to you?

The reason I bring this up is to illustrate the point that having a different view or belief and telling someone theirs is wrong is not being judgemental.
(Pardon me Josho if that misrepresents your position but you didn't make it clear to me in that thread so I'm left to wonder.)

Let's discuss this and leave political parties out of it please.
Those who vote for the baby butchers are judging themselves as being merciless.

Matthew 5:7 (NKJV)
7 Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy.

That is true. Perhaps I'll take the politics rule out. (I wanted to leave out political stances for the more sensative posters but since it's now basically good vs. evil the subject should now be part of any religious discussion.) Good call.

Well, they are not in Hell yet. There may still be hope for them. We were all children of Satan. Paul used to kill Christians and God saved him. It's never too late until it's too late for the baby butchers. But Hell fire is nearer than ever!

The OP Josho started about Hillary, was about her view on Young people leaving the church, highlighted With being "judgemental", as if Hillarys POV, should be something to consider. However the article continued, with her Opinionated "judgements" against Republicans.
Personally, I do not find Hillary a Worthy role-model for anything upstanding.

Obviously hillary is one of those liberals on steroids type of so-called christian. If she or anyone else knew their bible they would understand the following to be true.

1 Corinthians 5
It is actually reported that there is immorality among you, and immorality of such a kind as does not exist even among the Gentiles, that someone has his father’s wife. 2 You have become arrogant and have not mourned instead, so that the one who had done this deed would be removed from your midst.

3 For I, on my part, though absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged him who has so committed this, as though I were present. 4 In the name of our Lord Jesus, when you are assembled, and I with you in spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus, 5 I have decided to deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of his flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

6 Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump of dough? 7 Clean out the old leaven so that you may be a new lump, just as you are in fact unleavened. For Christ our Passover also has been sacrificed. 8 Therefore let us celebrate the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

9 I wrote you in my letter not to associate with immoral people; 10 I did not at all mean with the immoral people of this world, or with the covetous and swindlers, or with idolaters, for then you would have to go out of the world. 11 But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so-called brother if he is an immoral person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler—not even to eat with such a one. 12 For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Do you not judge those who are within the church? 13 But those who are outside, God judges. Remove the wicked man from among yourselves.

Thank You Christophany. The scripture you posted is clearer than ever.

I would tend to agree. The worst person any Christian could rely on for Christian ideals is Clinton, what does light have to do with darkness. She is darkness not light. I think the problem is the media and not knowing a lot about the country or the people in it.

I didn’t participate in the orginal thread you mentioned OP, but I am a Christian millennial.

I also do find frustration when people try to intermingle politics and church stuff. No, I’m not satisfied with ANY mortal politician as being my flawless representative- cause each man is a flawed sinner. No group of men is Christ. And frankly, when it comes to picking votes, i want to look big picture and not on party lines.

Therefore, I majorly get frustrated when people try to bring those same flawed party lines into a church and argue over them. It’s just not the place. At church let us instead focus on Christ.

I think she would gleefully accept a crown, robe and throne to complement her Royal delusion.

So, can someone shed some light on how post-modernist thought has crept into Christianity and influenced it?

Post modernism thought process puts more emphasis on personal opinions and feelings - Does this feel right to you? How do YOU see this color? while modernism is more propositional - this is right regardless of what you feel. This is "blue".

So when we entertain the notion that propositional truth may not be true for you, then you've disengaged your anchor, and truth becomes a matter of opinion.

What are the opinions of man compared to the truth of God?

Much love!

That's a totally different set of questions than the original post which focused on Millennials view of intermixing church and state (aka political-izing from the pulpit or vise versa).

Subjective truth was brought up in the OP, and it is a post-modern idea.
