It does not make Rome the correct church either. The popes were false teachers of an apostate church. They were listening to Satan. Satan has deceived many Protestant denominations as well.

King Herod the Great, was an Idumean or Edomite, his people being located in the Negev region of southern Palestine. Thus he was a descendent of Esau, whose father, Antipater, as governor of Idumea, had converted to Judaism.

Joh 8:39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father

oh 8:42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
Joh 8:43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
Joh 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil,

They did not lie about being lineage of Abraham, but that was thru Esau. Esau had been told not to take a wife:
    Gen 28:8 And Esau seeing that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac his father;
Gen 28:9 Then went Esau unto Ishmael, and took unto the wives which he had Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael Abraham's son, the sister of Nebajoth, to be his wife.

That was not the point. Yes, Rome has introduced False Christianity into Christendom since they have departed from Bible truth and Gospel truth. And that is true for the mainline Protestant denominations. Apostasy has taken hold of Christendom.

However, Christians should understand that because of the extreme evil that will dominate the world when the Holy Spirit has been taken out of the way, and Satan and the Antichrist are in total control, God limits the reign of the Antichrist to just 42 months (Rev 13:5).

42 months = 1260 days = 3 1/2 years = time (1 yr) + times (2 yrs) + half a time (6 months). This is the first half of Daniel's 70th week, which is a period of 7 years. However, since the Great Tribulation will be manifested in the second half of that period, God actually shortens that by about 7 months (for the sake of "the elect"). Hence we have a period of 2,300 days for the total 70th week, instead of 2,520 days.

The papacy has been in existence for over 1,600 years, so it simply does not fit into the reign of the Antichrist.

The question was asked, "why not join back?" The point is 99% of the church has now become apostate.

The seals are part of the first 3.5 years. Yet you cannot say it has been 7 months, the Lamb should have appeared by now. The last 3.5 years have been dropped. But to put Satan's 3.5 years in, the total time was 10.5 years. Daniel's prophecies was a map, but not set in literal circumstances. Daniel had trouble even understanding the church age.

John also witnessed events that may happen. But as long as the church is here, the church herself could change history. God could still heal this apostate condition. The problem is the church is so programmed to usher in Satan's time, they are not even thinking the church still has the power to stop Satan. God declares now is the time for the church to repent and turn from her wickedness. If the church could understand the simple concept of being humble and stop trying to figure things out, God would make the change needed. Declaring the Gospel, and training disciples to declare the Gospel was the only command given to the church. This is done in humbleness void of the cares of this world. It is in the power of the Holy Spirit and not even our own knowledge and understanding.

You are still going to be stuck with playing Biblical hopscotch around Dan 9:

“Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing, and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined. Dan 9:26

Jerusalem was destroyed by the Romans, and in this text the antichrist [the prince who shall come] will be the prince of the Romans.

That's right, he was a fake Jew. Just like the scribes and Pharisees that Jesus said were children of the devil.

...more false teachings. -- False assertions that the a/c is the Beast; false assertions regarding Dan. 9; False, False, False.

Is there anything that's actually TRUE?

Now here is something which you should carefully consider:
    1. Is the Great Tribulation a totally unique and unprecedented event?
    2. Does the Abomination of Desolation trigger this event according to Matthew 24?

If those two things are true, then Daniel 9:26-27 can only be applied to the future Antichrist, who will set up the Abomination of Desolation. The Man of Sin is also "the prince that shall come".

Christ predicted the destruction of the temple which took place in 70 AD. At the same time He spoke of a future temple where the Abomination of Desolation would stand in the Holy Place, following which there would be an unprecedented Great Tribulation (called the Tribulation the Great in Revelation 7).

No, the Great Tribulation is not a single event. Revelation 7 is referring to the tribulation of the last 3400 years. The church is made up of OT and NT "saints". Those humans who put their trust in God, when the world and other humans declared there was no God, and this life is all there is. For the last 5990 years there has been nonstop tribulation. Sometimes more, sometimes less.

One will find people that have no church affiliation better listeners than those that do.

No, I think God is in charge of the timeline, but the Abomination of Desolation is quite active long before he sits in the Temple.

I see him as a key figure in the opening of the 1st seal, where he politically merges a number of nations together, which might result in the members of the EU merging into 10 nations under the antichrist. Rome is a part of that union, and although far fetched, could end up being the head of the EU. And in the ensuing wars of the 2nd seal, he could end up making a 7 year peace treaty with Israel, which he breaks half-way through? Lots of fanciful options out there.

But I am more inclined to think that the 1st seal will somehow involve the merger of the Islamic nations.

The word 'flood' is sometimes used in Scripture to describe an enormous group of people.

Are you referring to the millions of Jews who were killed, not raptured? The blood bath went on for 10 years. It still was not the abomination of desolation.

I am not aware of any Jews being raptured in 70 AD.

Hi, thanks for your thoughts. Here's a few questions:

    1) When did the 69 Weeks expire?

"...from the going forth of the commandment...unto Messiah the Prince shall be 7 weeks, 60, and 2..."

The 69 weeks expire at "Messiah the Prince".

    2) What does "Messiah the Prince" mean and what event does this refer to?
"Messiah" means "anointed" and Jesus was "anointed" in the Jordan by John and the Holy Spirit where He laid aside His carpenter belt and took up the Gospel mantle and went forth preaching the kingdom of God.

    3) When did Jesus' baptism occur?
Luke says Jesus was baptized when Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate, and Herod the Terarch all reigned, and there was only one year in history when that simultaneous reign occurred --- according to the Syro-Macedonian calendar which was the calendar of the region, that year was 27 A.D. Moreover, if you start calculating the 69 Weeks from "the going forth of the commandment" which was the decree of Artaxerxes in 457 B.C., and count off 483 years, it brings you to.........(drum roll please)........27 A.D. Jesus fulfilled "Messiah the Prince" when He was baptized in the Jordan in 27 A.D.

    4) What happened after the 69 Weeks expired?
That which almost the entire Christian world doesn't seem to understand but is so simple even a child can: the 70th Week began! The 70th Week began with Jesus coming up out of the Jordan and proceeding to preach the Gospel for the next 3 1/2 years, saying "the time is fulfilled", referring to the 69 Weeks --- then "after (69 Weeks) Messiah shall be cut off" and "after" the 69th Week means "during" the 70th, specifically "in the midst of the week" -- then Jesus continued preaching the Gospel through the disciples for the remaining 3 1/2 years (Hebrews 2:3 KJV) at which time the 70th Week expired and Paul began taking the Gospel to the Gentiles.

If you have questions or objections, please share.

Crazy talk. Perhaps if one transcended the seventy, they could attempt the seventieth. But because that can't, they can only spout ignorance for the seventieth.

I'm reminded of an individual who asserted he could CREATE ELECTRICITY because he learned Ohms Law. And so too the individuals who assert Chapter Expertise, when they can only suppose a PORTION of a verse.
