These both together did HAVE power to shut Heaven. If the testimony of their witness was not completed, the Holy Spirit (rain) could not come. But, as we all do know, they both DID COME, and "finished" God's will for them and through them, for us.

Mountains when used symbolically always refer to kings or kingdoms (rulers). So who are the seven kings- five are fallen, one is and one is yet to come, and who is the eighth which comes from the seven.

So, let me digest your religious theory properly. You believe that Zechariah 4:14 prophesied of "Two anointed ones", that are to appear near the end of time, of which shall be the "Two witnesses" in Revelation 11.
That prophesy was spoken in approx. 519 BC. From our time, that was 2540 years ago.
Are you telling us that God, through Zechariah, was giving the 2W of Rev. "Center Stage", and not John the Baptist and God the Son, who BOTH HAD the Holy Spirit (the anointing) AT BIRTH?

Now here is the dilemma:
Only "Two" can be the "anointed ones", and not four!
Therefore, since JtB and Jesus were both born with the Holy Spirit at birth, that puts Zechariah 4:14 on them, and NOT on a religious fiction story, conjured up from Rev. 11.

GOD - the Word is GOD- will give Power unto the two witnesses, and they shall prophesy during 1,260 days, and these have Power to shut heaven that it rain not in the days of their prophecy (the door will be closed, there will be salvation no more, so to preach the Gospel or to sell oil will be a waiste of time) : and they have Power over waters (over peoples, and nations, and multitudes of all tongues) to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth (Israel that left Jerusalem free to the Gentiles to tread under their foot) with all plagues, as often as they will.

Who are the two witnesses? For those who believe in the Word of GOD, the two witnesses are, as is written, in Revelation 11:v.4, the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth, the person of the Holy Spirit, the Conforter-John 16:v.7-15. The two olive trees produce the oil for the two candlesticks (two Churches), for the righteous Judgment of GOD will be deliver to the saints of the Most High from now on. Aleluia!!!

That said, the message of God's Word for this current time will be of Judgment exclusively and severe punishments against the wicked world with all its works without exception. Even the two Covenants will be DISSOLVED, the Holy Spirit will work no more with them both in this current end of the world in favor of the souls, or rather, for salvation of the souls, quite the contrary. So, as JESUS said by Revelation, "He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be"-Revelation 22:v.11-12.
