You will have to do better than Ecclesiastes 1:15, for it only pertains to what a man (Solomon) can do in this world, but not what God can do. But you are somewhat correct, Solomon is not the son of David that has overcome the world.

But obviously you missed where I said that even all the world was once Pagan, and that God had other plans. And yet here you are speaking as if anything that was once Pagan, shall always be--even all the world.

You only demonstrate that your knowledge and understanding of "what the Bible says"...is in grave error.
Your rejecting what the Bible says isn't my problem. If you don't want to believe what it says, that's on you.

Fair enough...even though that is not at all what it says, and your quoted so-called proof text was out of context. Nonetheless, unless you mean to condemn the whole world, you are never going to be able to prove your point.

But, by all means, do tell us where in the Bible that it says that everything that was once Pagan will forever be Pagan. Let me guess...you are now going to change your story.

Regardless, God in His Word instructs parents to bring up a child in the way he should go. He also says we shouldn't lie and all liars will have their part in the lake of fire. So why persist in feeding children lies?? Do you (or other parents) tell your children not to lie? What's the difference if they lie to you if you've purposefully told them lies? I'm just trying to find the logic in this. It seems hypocritical and inconsistent.
My wife decided for us that our kids would be told that there is no Santa. They're all grow'd up now. So it's a non-issue for me. Me, personally, I don't condemn people, for example, for 'lying' to someone to get them to come in to a room where their surprise birthday party is. The Santa 'lie' is on that same level as that. Just innocent fun. That doesn't condemn a person to hell. If a person can't handle that kind of innocent lying that's on them. I do know, now, through various experiences that people with autism like Asperger's Syndrome can't handle stuff like this. They're very difficult to deal with in matters like this. There is no satisfying their need for absolute proof about God. The Santa 'lie' just ends up being a convenient excuse for them. They'll cling to any and all arguments about their difficulty to believe and blame it on anyone and anything they can. I'm not condemning them. I just know they have special problems. You just have to leave them in God's hands. He'll sort it out. The rest of us, we get 'lied' to about Santa and we grow up just fine.

I was never raised to think Santa Claus was real. And we were taught about Saint Nick. So it was really no big deal. The fact that people are making a big deal out of it is concerning to me. I think when people alienate themselves from Christian society it can be a problem.

Saint Nick is real, Santa Claus is of course a bedtime story for kids. So the question is somewhat ambiguous.

No the question is straight forward if you read it properly... I didn't say St Nick or the tradition of Santa...
I specifically asked if Santa Clause himself is a fraud... Truth or real being an antonym of that

I think its concerning that this lie is confusing some kids into walking away from God. It happens

Yes and no. Santa clause is a kids lesson about giving in the spirit of Saint Nick. It epitomizes Christ and Saint Nick in spirit. Christians bring their children to church so they learn of God and Saint Nick. No real problem there. I don't think parents should teach Santa Claus. They should be telling them the true story of Saint Nick, which is another name for Santa Claus.

Fair enough. Thats ok. No attributing supernatural powers or anything like that but...
He doesn't know when you are sleeping, he doesn't know when your awake and his not a moral agent to even know if your doing bad or good
Deal?

Some Parents like to play with their kids and tease them and make them cry and tell them stories and such. It's a right of passage for some parents to do with their children as they desire within the bounds of the laws. It's not right, but it happens a lot.

Teaching children about Santa Claus as the embodiment of Christ and Saint Nick might have less trauma than a parent that teaches their children that if they're bad they're going to a fiery hell. Do some of these Santa haters fall into that category?

So 11 people think that Santa Claus is real...
Now now children...:D
psst its not that anyone thinks he is real as in reindeer going down chimneys .he is a Christmas figure that brings joy to children's imagination. those said adults are mature enough to let the children enjoy. then the children grow out of Santa Claus unlike the adults who still panic over him. much like the man on the moon who turns the lights on and off :eek::Do_O

Uh, yes he does.
One year I purposely stayed awake lying in bed so I could catch Santa and prove if he was real or not. I was awake until a few minutes after 3 AM. I couldn't stay awake any longer. Somehow, someway Santa snuck into our house between the time I fell asleep at 3 AM and 5 or 5:30 AM and put presents for all five of us kids under the tree! He does in fact know when you're asleep and when you're awake!

I liked your post, but I do respect any Christian who has a problem with the idolatry issue. I'm told in scripture to respect that and not look down on them. And so I do. But the scripture also says for them to not condemn us.
