@Lambano Well, seems like now there are plenty of parlors up and running, right?
Do you suppose they could be replacing any dying assemblies/churches today? Are two or three always or even ever gathered together there in those parlors IN his name? [See Matt 18:20]

@amadeus Good point to remember; thank-you. Good to pursue the spirit of Acts 2.42, indeed...

All the young people with Bible verses tattooed with whom I have spoken seem to have had them done for evangelistic reasons, anyway.

There a whole lot of pew sitters, who merely fill up space for a short period of time and as soon as possible hurry to do what they want to do. An hour or less out 168 in the week? Perhaps some do the same thing with the bodies and time allotted to them. It all belongs to God, the bodies and the time, as we are all only stewards. What does He expect or require of us? So many want to do the minimum and receive in return the maximum. They may not realize, or they may have forgotten:

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service." Rom 12:1

... but if they fee l a burden form god to do it-- go for it to the glory of God. ...I am not going to argue...
@Ronald Nolette

In the past I've mentioned to ppl that my wife and I talked to a young lady - one of a number of young ppl that I have talked with, who have had Bible verses tattooed - with the whole of the wording of John 3.16 tattooed on her wrist area.

I can just image her having gone into the tattoo parlor with a great deal of joy in order to have the wording pumped in.

@GodsGrace As distinct from the young ladies you recently talked with, I'm guessing that the lady in the photo, by her hand, is a little more mature in age than they were.

@Heart2Soul Well, sometimes it does first of all take that little bit of extra confidence to go to the parlor to have an inking machined in, but once done, there's a ready made, likely effective witness tool.

(Like this lady has: .)

What about (1)faith based stealing or (2)faith based murder.....what about (3)faith based adultery

I'm sure Robin
Hood was into (1)....and
men pray when the go to war (2)
and when loving your neighbour spills over into loving his wife (3)

so your argument about faith based tattoo's are equally invalid!

F, the image is from google...however, you're correct.
She's in her 40's.

@GodsGrace Yes, a lot of more mature ppl are doing it for the first time also.

But it's really at the age of 18 or thereabouts when the profusion of first tattooing occurs.

Like you said in different posts:
The teenagers and both young women had a few tattoos...all small. ...They all seemed to love their tattoos and showed them to us.!...almost every young girl I know has some sort of tatoo.
Even those very conservative types.

It truly is what they do.

I think I've mentioned that a young lady that my wife and I talked to had the whole of John 3.16 tattooed on her wrist area; her favorite verse. Because it's what they do at that age, and so she herself wanted her favorite Bible verse pumped in.
