this…. Is odd? To me. I think thats the right word to use, but i grew up in the church. Theres never been a time that i can remember where i didnt believe in God. I’ve always believed in Him. There was never a need to not believe. Thats why i say your comment was odd to me. So in this case, i still cant say that im saved because of 1 verse. 1 John 3:8. Untill my addiction, which i love, is over with, i cant be saved.
God does not say Come to Me when you're perfect.
He says Come to Me and you will become "perfect"...
(not that anybody is...but we try/strive/persevere.

you cant get saved one minute, go sin another, and keep thinking you’re saved just because you said the sinners prayer or went up for an alter call. If you keep on sinning the same sin, daily, and then ask for forgiveness each nite, that just makes you a hypocrite.

You have a wrong opinion of God.
One does not go in and out of the state of salvation.
A person is saved, sins, asks forgiveness, and continues on.
That what repentance is...it is NOT feeling sorry for your sins (which that must be true too)
It means that you were headed one way...toward satan,
then you decide you no longer want to serve satan...
so you turn around and go the other way, toward God.
You will fall many times. Many times it'll be for the same sin.
You keep walking toward God, you ask forgiveness, get up and keep going.
It sounds like you're truly sorry about this. God knows how you feel.
Trust Him.
Satan knows our weak points...everyone tends to make the same sin over and over, not only you.
Decide to walk toward God and keep going no matter what.
Haven't you read the Prodigal Son?
Haven't you read 1 John 1:9-10 and 1 John 2:1 ?

Belief alone, will not save a person NOW.
However if that person (endures) Believes at the time of his physical death, he will be saved THEN.

Agreed Taken, how I see this is that we are "being" saved. Enduring is key, staying in the race is key, placing full trust in Him is key...

Put your trust in Jesus and ask him to help you be an overcomer.

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. (1 Corinthians 10:13 KJV)

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV)

Believe the above scripture, we are born again of the Holy Spirit and are a new creation spiritually. Keep trusting God, put the things of the world behind you, and don't be tempted to do a 'prodigal.' :)

Just to add, Jesus gave his life for the sinner, not the righteous, nobody is, and I know if I made a sacrifice for someone and it was rejected, I would feel insulted. I wonder how Jesus feels?

Agreed Taken, how I see this is that we are "being" saved. Enduring is key, staying in the race is key, placing full trust in Him is key...

When Jesus said; Forbid not “little children” to come to Him...
I believe He meant “unknowing children” parents were raising up in the home teaching them about the HOW TO’S of life, relationships, what makes a home, animals, property, work, ethics, morals...”and the Lord God” they can not See.
A daily learn-ING, practic-ING, to be a usual process...
PREPARING them BEFORE they leave Mommy and Daddy...
THE “KEY” of PREPARING “to BE SAVED”.
ABLE, to Keep “ENDURING” in belief.....
ABLE, to Keep “STAYING” in the race....
ABLE, to Keep “TRUSTING” in Him........
AGAINST the dismal odds of a corrupt world....

* ABLE to MAKE...an assured Decision...TO WILLFULLY, heartfully, CHOOSE:
The Offering of the Lord God...of His Forever Gift of Salvation.

(The WORLD, is capturing so many “little children”, sent out of the homes from CRIB through Pre-ADULTHOOD....being Prepared in teachings and indoctrination’s and ideologies OF a corrupt world....”while the Lord God”...is not ONLY, NOT TAUGHT...but
Punishments doled out, FOR EVEN “MENTIONING” the Lord God.) <—- The complete Opposite of what Jesus Taught.

Today, we Observe a World full of utterly Unprepared “little children”, wandering IN the WORLD....who DO NOT EVEN KNOW.... THERE IS A RACE..
(And sadly, California, is a US forerunner, and boastful in being a advocate and pusher of their CR-theory, front and center, as a substitute over the Lord Gods RACE to Salvation.) :(

IN Christ is a man “perfect-ED” IN Christ’s body.
IN ones own glorified body, IS the man become MADE “perfect”.

AND......a man WITH Christ, ALSO laid down “his life”.
AND......the BIG QUESTION...

Did the man......give a MINDFUL declaration, “of laying down his life”...
FOR others to hear;
TO; gain acceptance, trust, of others?
TO; gain community clout, of others?
TO; gain business contacts, of others?
TO; get rich with Jesus?
TO: get instant WANT list fulfilled?
TO: avoid Hell?

OR:
Did the man......give a HEARTFUL declaration, “of laying down his life”....
FOR others to hear;
His Love of the Lord God?
His Trust in the Lord God?
His Desire to be WITH the Lord God Forever?
His Desire to Glorify God?

Ye shall know them by their fruits.
“I mindfully really, really tried, God failed”......!!!!
“I heartfully surrendered, God & me together Forever”.....!!!!:)

What we can do is to believe in the One Lord God in heaven and on earth, commit our life to Him, follow him all the days of our life, and He will lead us in paths of righteousness.
May God richly bless you and keep you.

HOO-RA !!!!!

The sad thing is, those that believe sin can cause a person to lose their salvation are actually declaring that jesus did not pay for all of a person's sins. for the ones they think they can lose what Jesus purchased for them, they believe Jesus died for just most of their sins.
That is incorrect. God will forgive our trespasses (the Lord's prayer) and He paid the penalty for all our sins. It is only the apostate and those who commit the unforgivable sin, otherwise we are saved eternally.

An apostate was never saved. remember in MAtt. 7 jesus either knows someone or has never known them. No where in the bible will y9ou find Jesus say- I had a relationship with you once, but not now!

As for the unpardonable sin of Matthew 12? Only the nation of Israel living in Jesus day could commit the blasphemy of the spirit. the only sin unforigvabvle for man is to die without accepting Jesus as Savior!

The matter of "enduring to the end", is not what you make of it-- It is not the end of the flesh living in the world. "We who are alive and remain" in the world, have already come to "the End." The End is Jesus. It is no longer we who live, but He who lives. "For me, to live is Christ."
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (Matthew 7:13-14 KJV)

The wide gate and broad way lead to destruction (Pro_16:25). The narrow gate and difficult way lead to life. Jesus is both the gate (Joh_10:9) and the way (Joh_14:6). Jesus is saying that to follow Him require faith, discipline, and endurance. But this difficult life is the only life worth living. If you choose the easy way, you will have plenty of company, but that road leads to destruction.

APOSTASY; APOSTATE
Aa falling away, a withdrawal, a defection. Not found in the English Versions of the Bible, but used twice in the New Testament, in the Greek original, to express abandonment of the faith. Paul was falsely accused of teaching the Jews apostasy from Moses (Acts 21:21); he predicted the great apostasy from Christianity, foretold by Jesus (Matthew 24:10-12) which would precede "the day of the Lord" (2 Thessalonians 2:2). Apostasy, not in name but in fact, meets scathing rebuke in the Epistle of Jude, e.g. the apostasy of angels (Jude 1:6). Foretold, with warnings, as sure to abound in the latter days (1 Timothy 4:1-3 2 Thessalonians 2:3 2 Peter 3:17). Causes of: persecution (Matthew 24:9, 10); false teachers (Matthew 24:11); temptation (Luke 8:13); worldliness (2 Timothy 4:4); defective knowledge of Christ (1 John 2:19); moral lapse (Hebrews 6:4-6); forsaking worship and spiritual living (Hebrews 10:25-31); unbelief (Hebrews 3:12). Biblical examples: Saul (1 Samuel 15:11); Amaziah (2 Chronicles 25:14, 27); many disciples (John 6:66); Hymeneus and Alexander (1 Timothy 1:19, 20); Demas (2 Timothy 4:10). For further illustration see Deuteronomy 13:13; Ze 1:4-6; Galatians 5:4 2 Peter 2:20, 21.
