I can not will myself free from sin.
Meaning, I can not make myself sinless.
Freewill has to work both ways or it's not really free is it?
So we can say I have freewill to sin, and I have freewill not to sin.

But I don't believe this is true until we have been freed from it by Christ alone.

I here... Liberty..

To set at liberty those that are bruised...
bruised?

Bruise:
θραύω thraúō, throw'-o; a primary verb; to crush:—bruise
to break, break in pieces, shatter, smite through

2Co 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
Gal 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Gal 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

Lev 22:24 Ye shall not offer unto the LORD that which is bruised, or crushed, or broken, or cut; neither shall ye make any offering thereof in your land.

Mar 2:17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Mar 6:56 And whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole.

Isa 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Lev 26:13 I am the LORD your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright.

1Co 11:24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

Exo 3:9 Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.

Mat 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Heavy laden, yoke, bondage... all of these represent the burden of sin.

Before we come to Jesus and is freed from sin, there is no freewill. You are held captive, enslaved to it, sick.
But after Jesus frees us from sin, we then are given "Liberty" .

What is this liberty?

Jas 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

what if one doesn't continue therein, is that freewill?
Do we have choice after we have been saved to return again to be yoked with sin?
Do we have choice after we have been saved to remain sinless?

What is sin?

:)

long post, sorry, just rambling..

The Bible does not teach we are born with a sinful nature.
If so, then babies are wholly, sinful, depraved, wicked reprobates.
In this state, if they die, they will die in their sins, forever lost.

David's baby did not have a sinful nature,

2Samuel 12:23 But now he is dead; why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.

David did not believe his son was totally depraved sinful.
Those in heaven and those in hell cannot go to each other
David said he will go to his child. Where did David go when he died?

Ezekial 28:15
You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, Till iniquity was found in you.

God's sovereign will determines my actions not myself.
Therefore God is guilty for my actions, I have no will of my own.

Listen to the wisest man that ever lived,
Truly, this only I have found: That God made man upright, But they have sought out many schemes

Solomon taught me ,man is created upright in the image of God.
Your interpretation of other verses must therefore be wrong. No contradictions in scripture friend.
Mar 10:13 And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.
Mar 10:14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
Mar 10:15 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
Mar 10:16 And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.

That he should touch them. Put his hands upon them. Blessed them.

Luk 18:15 And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them.
Luk 18:16 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
Luk 18:17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

receive the kingdom of God as a little child.
know ye not, ye must be born again...

MERCY!!
I will have mercy and not sacrifice saith the Lord.

o_O

A new generation was being created....
Behold all things have passed away, I make all things new.

What then, if the parents are holy shall the children be holy?
is a child or an infant born sinful?

Gen 17:12 And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed.
Gen 17:13 He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.
Gen 17:17 Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?
Gen 17:23 And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham's house; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsame day, as God had said unto him.
Gen 21:4 And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac being eight days old, as God had commanded him.

Rom 2:25 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.
Rom 2:26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?
Rom 2:27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?
Rom 2:28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
Rom 2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

1Jo 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Psa 127:3 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
Ecc 11:5 As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.

Rom 5:14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
1Co 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

Pro 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

1Co 7:14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.

Heb 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
Heb 2:15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
Heb 2:16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
Heb 2:17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

1Jo 2:12 I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.

I do not believe that infants and babies are born in sin for the last 2000+ years.
However, being left to their own devices, without proper training, they can fall into the snares of the devil.
All those whom God has "touched" in the spirit, in the womb, are his from conception, and they have no sin.
And Jesus is the light that lighteth every man that comes into the world.
All the world is mine, saith the Lord.

Psa 50:12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.
Psa 89:11 The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.

Jhn 1:16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

Gal 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
Gal 4:5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
Gal 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
Gal 4:7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Isa 48:6 Thou hast heard, see all this; and will not ye declare it? I have shewed thee new things from this time, even hidden things, and thou didst not know them.
Rev 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

Mercy!

Mr. Johann,
Since you believe mankind has no free moral agency based on the doctrine of Total depravity caused by the fall of Adam.
The reason for our totally depraved sinful natures is because of Adam's change in his nature from perfect innocent nature to a wickedly innate nature.
These supposed innate natures are transmitted from the first father Adam to his sons. His Sons inherit their wicked nature from their father, so the process goes.

Wicked sinfull natures passed onto the next generation by their fathers.

I have a question that needs an answer Mr. Johann,
If sins as you teach are passed from parents to child, so that children are born sinners,
Then Who passed this sinful nature to Adam?
Luke 3:37-38
the son of Enosh, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God.

Who is Adam's father? God
If sins are passed from parents to children as this inherited sin doctrine teaches, then God is made a sinner for, Adam, was the son of God.

Where did Adam inherit this sin nature? had to be His Father.
Why would Adam desire to sin, being made perfect after the image of God?
Answer: Freewill

Somewhere in my 30's I was laying on my sofa.
I wasn't sleeping but I wasn't awake either.
As I lay there, I saw visions of babies in the womb being ...... I can't even ..
I was physically sick for 3 days. I had to quit my job because I couldn't see anything else except these visions.
I went out and baught a computer and went online and found a Christian Forum.
I needed to find solace.
And what I just saw above while I was posting, brought back all of it...
Lord have Mercy.
Act 8:32 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:

I'm ANGRY.. :mad::mad::mad:

The blessing however is that a Christians sin isn't imputed/charged to them.

The curse is calling God an unjust judge, who judges one soul for sin but not another for the same sin. Such unrighteous judges are rightly called hypocrites.

Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie.

Hypocrites can try telling that lie to God, when He judges them for their ongoing sins:

The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

God is a righteous and just judge, that judges His people more guilty than sinners of the world:

Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
You lost me, but some sinners God doesnt impute sin to them. Did you know that ?

All their sins have been charged to Christ.

Jesus was never 'charged' with anything, much less with sin. He suffered death for the sins of the world, but He was never 'judged guilty' of them. He suffered the curse of death for our sins, but was not judged for any sin.

That is why His soul could not be held by death, because He was never judged worthy of death by sin.

OSAS is the hypocrite's doctrine of respect of persons in judgment, created by the god of this world, who himself is not a respecter of persons, but will gladly lie to and deceive any soul he can unto their own destruction:

As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
You and i are not referring to the same Jesus. The Jesus I know and serve had my sins charged to Him and He died for them.

You and I are not referring to the same Jesus.

Since you make difference between the Jesus one man knows and that of another, then I agree with the premise.

There certainly are false christs, as Jesus foretold, but there is only one Jesus of Scripture, and no Scripture 'charges' Jesus with any sins.

Your doctrine is false being without Scripture, and proves itself not to be of Jesus Christ, because the result is continuing on in your sins willfully, while falsely charging Jesus with them.

Therefore, the jesus you know is as illusional as the jehovah others of a false christ know.

After salvation one still has their freewill. Therefore it is not a sinful nature. Mankind by nature are not innate wicked immoral reprobates. It is our freewill that gives us the ability to give into temptation and commit sin. Whether lost or saved.
Ecclesiastes 7:29
Truly, this only I have found: That God made man upright, But they have sought out many schemes.
Excellent point.

The only ones with the sin nature are sinners who sin by nature, and they will sin more: they have no choice.

The only ones with free will to choose to serve God in righteousness, rather than the devil in sin, are God's people born of His Spirit given power to do so and to sin no more.

Sinners claiming eternal salvation and the sin nature by their own personal faith, are the double minded with two hearts trying to live between the two, choosing both to do good and evil:

So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Like Adam and Eve, they want the salvation of faith without the justification by works, and they want to be called sons of God without exercising the power to become His saints.

Truly, this only I have found: That God made man upright, But they have sought out many schemes.

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

God made all souls equally in the lower parts of the earth for His good pleasure, but when any soul commits sin, the soul's nature falls from upright before God to sinful at the feet of the devil.

Verse 5 asserts that David confessed that he was "shapen in iniquity," (Heb cholalti), "brought forth amidst labor pains," in a state, condition, of inherent disposition to practice deeds of iniquitous nature, as set forth, Job_14:4; Joh_3:6; Rom_5:12-14; Eph_2:3. This certifies that one has the germ of sin from conception and birth. Such is called original sin, total hereditary depravity, or birth-sin; Psa_58:3; Jas_1:15. Man was created in the likeness of God, "after his image," in a state of holiness, and innocence, Gen_8:21; But when Adam had sinned, it is declared, "Adam begat a son in his own likeness, after his image," Gen_5:3. David did not accuse his mother of sin in begetting him; He confessed instead that his deeds of sin sprang from a sin nature, received from the time of conception in his mother's womb, and from his birth in particular.

@Ziggy what say you?
There's no "free will" Titus.....

True. Not for sinners still having the sin nature.

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

The heart is DESPERATELY wicked..

True. The heart of sinners with the sin nature still have desperately wicked hearts.

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

Read Pilgrims Progress by Bunyan.

Read the Bible by Jesus Christ.

And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Verse 5 asserts that David confessed that he was "shapen in iniquity,"

For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.

Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

True, all sinners found guilty of transgression against God are shapen in iniquity and conceived in sin by lust of heart:

But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Saints of God however are no more born of the first Adam, but of the second Jesus Christ:

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect.

Sinners will keep arguing for the sin nature like all sinners, and saints will keep preaching righteousness of God like all saints.

And all of OSAS tries to show how spiritually saved they are contrary to Scripture.

You sinless?

You righteous?
What is OSAS?
Rom_1:17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”

Rom_3:22 the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction:

Rom_3:26 It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

Rom_4:5 And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness,

Rom_5:17 For if, because of one man's trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.

Rom_5:18 Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men.

Rom_5:21 so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Rom_6:13 Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness.

Rom_6:16 Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness?

Rom_6:18 and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness.

Rom_6:19 I am speaking in human terms, because of your natural limitations. For just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification.

Rom_6:20 For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.

Rom_8:10 But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

Rom_9:30 What shall we say, then? That Gentiles who did not pursue righteousness have attained it, that is, a righteousness that is by faith;

Rom_9:31 but that Israel who pursued a law that would lead to righteousness did not succeed in reaching that law.

Rom_10:3 For, being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness.

Rom_10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

Rom_10:5 For Moses writes about the righteousness that is based on the law, that the person who does the commandments shall live by them.

Rom_10:6 But the righteousness based on faith says, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down)

Rom_14:17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

1Co_1:30 And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption,

2Co_3:9 For if there was glory in the ministry of condemnation, the ministry of righteousness must far exceed it in glory.

2Co_5:21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

2Co_6:7 by truthful speech, and the power of God; with the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and for the left;

2Co_6:14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?

2Co_9:9 As it is written, “He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.”

2Co_9:10 He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness.

2Co_11:15 So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.

Gal_2:21 I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.

Gal_3:6 just as Abraham “believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”?

Gal_3:21 Is the law then contrary to the promises of God? Certainly not! For if a law had been given that could give life, then righteousness would indeed be by the law.

Gal_5:5 For through the Spirit, by faith, we ourselves eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness.

Eph_4:24 and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.

Eph_6:14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

Php_1:11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

Php_3:6 as to zeal, a persecutor of the church; as to righteousness under the law, blameless.

Php_3:9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith—

1Ti_6:11 But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness.

2Ti_2:22 So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.

2Ti_3:16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,

2Ti_4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.

Tit_3:5 he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,

You righteous?
2Co_5:4 For while we are still in this tent, we groan, being burdened—not that we would be unclothed, but that we would be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.

Rev_3:5 The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels.

Isa_61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD; my soul shall exult in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation; he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

...clothed with the dikaosune of Christ Jesus and not boasting in my own self-righteousness

Sinners can keep arguing for sins of the devil like all sinners, and saints can keep preaching righteousness of God like all saints.

Examine yourself in the light of the scriptures, I am convicted on a daily basis and confess my sins daily, guess you are too "saintly" and in no need of confessing sins?

Hello, have you read my post # 227?

Mr. Johann,
Since you believe mankind has no free moral agency based on the doctrine of Total depravity caused by the fall of Adam.
