You should quote the Council of Trent instead of making up more lies. Sola gratia, solo Christo, and Soli Deo gloria are Catholic truths you borrowed from us. Trent does not condemn them, you just assert it does with no proof and no quotes, just lies. Sola scriptura and sola fide were inventions (largely for political reasons) by a man who was mentally disturbed.
Martin Luther - Hitler's Spiritual Ancestor by Peter F. Wiener

In 1937, a Copenhagen Psychiatrist, Paul J. Reiter MD wrote a 2 volume study, Martin Luther's World Character and Psychosis and the Influence of These Factors on his Development and Teachings which also demonstrated in detail from his own writings that Luther was mentally disturbed.

There is a review of Reiter's book here:

Martin Luther's World Character and Psychosis and the Influence of These Factors on his Development and Teachings. 2 Volumes.): By Paul J. Reiter, M.D.

The last bastion of a weak false rebuttal.
A lame assertion with no rebuttal.
Accuse Calvinist, while demonstrating no knowledge of Calvinism.
I am not afraid to read.
No lies about the RCC. Just truth. That you cannot see for the scales over your eyes since infancy.
First, "RCC" is as inaccurate as it is annoying, and has been explained repeatedly why it is so.

"...Oftentimes, these facts are poorly known or understood by many of those in both parties. With almost equal frequency, Calvinists mistakenly think that Catholics disagree with them on various points, when in fact, we agree. It works both ways: Catholics often inadvertently mischaracterize various Calvinist or other Protestant beliefs as contradictory to the Catholic faith, when they are not so. We have more in common than many (probably most) of those on either side realize..."
"A Biblical Critique of Calvinism" (Dave Armstrong): Introduction

This came up on my face book page just yesterday:
Turretin Lied About the Catholic View of Scripture | Dave Armstrong

Here is a thread started 4 years ago:
MATT SLICK EXPOSED
It mysteriously got shut down after 2 pages.

Catholic Merit vs. Distorted Caricatures (James McCarthy)

"No lies about the RCC. Just truth." Is that a joke?

But where the SDA agree with scripture, there you agree with the SDA. Yes? The trick is in willing to search to see how far they agree with scripture, before dissing the whole movement as being unworthy of your attention.
I became an SDA because I searched and experienced others first... And I didn't rely on what others said about us. Not parked to know what they taught. I don't do that with Catholics. Nor with Mormans. Nor JWs. Adventists don't join, coming from other faith groups through a lack of reasoning powers and mental application.
I did visit the sda church . Everything that agreed with scripture i agreed with .
Its just this investigative judgment that terrifies me for them . A few other things were off .
They had solid strong points , but at the same time its time to flee that investigative judgement .
Jesus did not enter into the holiest of holies in Eighteen hundred and forty four . HE entered in the moment
He left and went to the Father . The thing is Ellen could not see that miller had been decieved .
She in no way wanted to believe the man was wrong . So they came up with the idea
that HE was not wrong , HE just had got the place where JESUS came to wrong . That was a serious mistake .
IF one errs the simple thing to do is , REPENT Of it . But never try and justify it .
I dont know all things She taught , but that one was super deadly . Nor do i say that all adventists even believe that anymore .
I did investigate it . If i came setting dates that alone should have been a major red flag .
THEN if i did not repent of it but rather tried to say WELL this is when JESUS .............that would be even worse
cause it would be proof i was not seeing the error of my ways .

I think you meant are those that AGREE with scripture . You said those that she with scripture .
Yep. Agree. Not the first time my speed typing results in weirdness lol.
As for that investigative judgment. Your are correct that there are some adventists who dont accept it. I'm not one of them. I have read a great deal from several different authors on that specific topic. Some authors from the time of Miller, and some from today. One thing I will absolutely corroborate from William Miller... That 1844 date. Yep, they got the event wrong, but the date is solid. But you first have to accept the historicist method of prophetic time interpretation... Day for a year. Understand that, and prophecy opens up in front of your eyes and all manner of previously confusing facets of prophecy begin make sense.
That said, the subject of the investigative judgement isn't a shallow topic. There are deep avenues of discovery and type/antitype facets of the OT sanctuary service intimately linked with NT literal fulfilments, such as the day of Atonement. Christians today recognize how all the OT feasts or holy days were met in the ministry of Jesus, such as the OT Passover was met in the antitypical sacrifice of Calvary, and the wave sheaf offering at the resurrection, and then a month later pentecost. They were the spring feasts, all at the beginning of the Jewish religious year. The others were in autumn, and to be met toward the end of the Christian era, culminating in the seconds coming and the feast of tabernacles which will take place in heaven. In the meantime, the feast of trumpets and the day of atonement need to find their fulfillment. Both were feasts of the sanctuary, yet the sanctuary is no longer standing. And the earthly sanctuary isn't where Jesus, the High Priest, would be ministering. The sanctuary in heaven is the locale for the final antitypical events. The day of atonement as described in Leviticus is a time of cleansing, repentance, self examination, and a prophecy in Daniel 8:14 informs us of the time for that future cleansing...1844. check it out.
Oh, and Jesus wouldn't enter into the most holy place at His ascension. The priest in the OT after the sacrifice would take the blood of the Lamb or bullock into the first compartment, not the second.
But the most important question remains to be answered: What is the cleansing of the sanctuary? That there was such a service in connection with the earthly sanctuary is stated in the Old Testament Scriptures. But can there be anything in heaven to be cleansed? In Hebrews 9 the cleansing of both the earthly and the heavenly sanctuary is plainly taught....Once a year, on the great Day of Atonement, the priest entered the most holy place for the cleansing of the sanctuary. The work there performed completed the yearly round of ministration.
It is a deep and wonderful study, and want accepted by our church pioneers without much prayer, farting, and all night Bible studies. It wasn't initiated by Ellen White

Which begs the question, just what are you peddling in all your posts? This confession proves you are not of the body. I'll pray for you sister.

You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.
John 8:32 (CEV)
Lol....Wrangler, You have read multiple posts from me. Whom do I always say has the Truth?

I have read multiple posts from you. YOU think YOU know the truth.

There is no "confession" here kiddo. There is just your lack of comprehending what I have written for many years over multiple posts.

The truths anyone has are those that agree with scripture. Those are the ones, the only ones, that are undeniable.
Yup, that makes sense......NOT!!

You and @amigo de christo @Wrangler and @Ferris Bueller all believe that YOUR truth agrees with Scripture even though you disagree with each other on that truth.....So I am willing to bet that YOU Brakelite have ALL the "undeniable" truths now don't you? Congratulations :Bestest:

I can see you're purposely choosing to not understand the argument.

The truth is there. We non-Catholics are moving toward that truth. Some of us are farther along than others. But in the end, if you really belong to Christ, and your heart is pure, you will find the truth. This is in contrast to the Catholics who think they have the truth because they were told they have the truth, and so they have no upward movement toward the truth. They are stuck in the methodology of their worship and the formalities of their creeds. As if that's what it means to know God and please him.

Why? Why rethink anything? Paul wandered into a synagogue one day and taught the doctrine of Jesus and the gospel. There were no doubt many others wandering the neighborhood of Greece, Asia minor, and Palestine teaching stuff also. How did the Bereans compare Paul's teachings to for example, Simon Magus,, or the seven sons of Sceva, or any other random wannabe prophet doing the rounds? What did the Bereans is as their template to ascertain the validity and veracity of Paul's teaching?
Oh goodness.......I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo tired of you and your ilk's confusion on what happened with the Bereans. I will teach you about the Bereans:

The Bereans were more noble than the Thessalonians because they compared Scripture to what Paul was telling them to verify that Jesus was in fact the Promised One. The Thessalonians REJECTED what Paul was telling them. Once the Bereans started believing that Jesus was The One they then became Christians and started obeying the teachings/doctrines of The Apostles and The Church.

Once the Bereans became Christians they DID NOT tell Paul to go away and start reading NT Scripture on their own and decided what THEY believed NT Scripture taught. Once they were Christians they obeyed what the Apostles taught them and adhered to Church doctrine/teaching. Because if they rejected the Apostles they rejected Christ.....Luke 10:16. You know.....kind of like the Thessalonians did ;)

The problem with you and your ilk is that you seem to think that YOU can read Scripture and YOU can easily ascertain the Truth from Scripture. YOU think that you are being a Berean....when in fact you are not.

Funny, I don’t see your church in the Bible…

No pope.

No Mary veneration by the Apostles.

No attire design instructions.

Weird.
I said The Church is the pillar and foundation of truth. I have found that Church Michiah......Have you?

Not a lot of humility in your posts.

What church is right? The ones that bring people to God. Saying the RCC brings the most to God does not mean those who are now affiliated with other denominations would be absorbed. Rather those people might fall away from God if not for the Protestant church they now attend. Read about leaving the 99 to save the 1.

There is a childishly petulant competitiveness in your posts that is unbecoming.
Post calling the kettle black. Look at the log in your own eye kiddo.

The Church is right....Just like Scripture says. You have rejected that Church. I joined it after being a lost Protestant like you.

My extended family are all bad Catholics - the wedding, baptism, funeral kind. Some are good enough to bless the body with their presence on Xmas and Easter. But that's about it. The dissension, competitiveness, and fighting among them rages on unabated.

Let me give you one example. One uncle was very sickly. Another uncle became his legal guardian (or whatever term the crazy kids in law use these days). The 2nd uncle wanted the extended family to visit the first uncle more often, especially when he was in the hospital. Busy with their own lives, their own children and grandchildren, as well as their own health problems, being in their 70's, they did not visit their brother as frequently as the 2nd uncle of mine preferred.

In retribution, when the first uncle died, he told none of his siblings. He had his brother cremated with no service.

I've been told the hatred among these Catholic extended family members compares to the hatred in Biblical accounts; not a very good people, not to each other, anyway. :(
TheEF member I referred to was a malignant narcissist.
What made that more complex is they were also a parent of 8 kids who they put through emotional and physical punishment hell.

I think it was their payback when they used their death bed photo, the last taken, for the obituary.
Archived, forever. So much for worrying about how they'd appear to others in public back when they were healthy and their children were terrified to be kids in public for how that would reflect on that parent.

That's the thing. Be careful how we treat our kids today. Because when we're old they choose our care. When we're dead they write the obit.

That parent would have been mortified to see their obituary in that hometown paper.

We only care about the truth, too.
But we also understand that the journey to truth is just that, a journey, as we mature and grow up into the knowledge and stature of Jesus Christ. Some believers are farther along in that journey, while others are just starting. That is by design and explained for us by the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 4:13-15. You seem to be oblivious to this teaching given to us by the Apostle Paul. Strange, since you are sure your men are direct spiritual descendants of the office of the apostles, yet you are not aware of their teachings, or have simply rejected them.
Your "journey to truth" theory makes NO SENSE.

Jesus taught the Truth to the Apostles. The Apostles then taught it to other men (Titus, Timothy come to mind). They then taught other men. They then taught other men.

Your THEORY suggest that at some point that Truth was lost and stopped being taught and everybody has a portion of the Truth....Which means NO ONE has the Truth. Your theory suggest that The Church that Jesus started is invisible because no one can find it because no one knows the Truth....even though He said "so that you may KNOW the Truth and the Truth shall set you free". Your theory teaches opposite of what Jesus said.

Why not?
You claim the church - the Catholic hierarchy - knows the whole and complete truth and teaches it to you people making you perfectly unified in that truth with no deviations or divisions whatsoever. And that there is no such thing as differing progressive personal revelation of truth. So why have you not claimed that you know the truth?
You are a very painful person to communicate with Ferris. I have NEVER claimed that the Catholic hierarchy knows the whole and complete truth.

I have never said that there is no such thing as "differing progressive personal revelation of truth".

Soooooooooo I do not know how to respond to 2 false accusations.

There is no such thing as "progressive personal revelation of truth". The Truth has been taught by The Church since the time of Christ. It DOES NOT MATTER what your 'personal truth' is. It DOES NOT change the Truth.
