I’m not condoning sinful behavior or false teaching.I thank God He didn’t allow what men have done to you to happen to me.
You’re not even basing yours on ONE.Yes I realize you are basing your belief on a solitary verse.
You sure are!I’m not condoning sinful behavior or false teaching.
Correct of the entire NTYou’re not even basing yours on ONE.
Right. Well, not ALL of the NT…you’ve stricken at least three verses thus far.Correct of the entire NT
1) "Are all apostles?" (me pantes apostoloi) "Not all (are) apostles (are they)?" Paul asked seven successive rhetorical questions by use of parallelism. Each question implied a negative answer to be right.I'm not so sure about that myself. I don't mean in terms of writing new Scriptures, but apostles are "sent ones", aren't these the modern day missionaries? Going where the Gospel hasn't yet been preached?
Much love!
May the Lord help us all to stay true to the Scriptures.I’m not condoning sinful behavior or false teaching.
The key thought here I believe, for me anyway, where I have had to change my mind as you say SBG... is we still need doctrine (from men via the Spirit of God) that does work in our lives that is sound and harmonizes with scripture. That is at the heart of much debate, discord and disharmony in the Body of Christ throughout the centuries. And it's also the goal in our daily walk to know the truth in Christ and his Father. There are denominations that mirror each other, and others that vary slightly in doctrine and then those that are alien to others. The Spirit tells me to go with what it/personalized as he says to me. That's what I've been doing anyway for all these adult years. That wouldn’t be resetting truth. It never was truth. That would be the renewing of your mind and the removal of leaven.
But that isn’t going to happen unless men give up their doctrines and the traditions which theyve used to cancel out Gods word.
Then were is your power? That’s just useless. No understanding has ever been arrived at by ignoring some of the verses.
Are you saying that John is greater than Paul?
And no, I’m not saying I’m sinless. I’ve very specifically stated, over and over again, that I’ve never walked in the Spirit. I have been weaned though.
Thats how a lot of cults got started. False teachers who called themselves prophets. We’ve sunk to the point that it can’t work. If you have more men to hand out and oversee more poison, it’s not going to do anything but poison more.
All I can think to do is start with a prophet at this point. Someone has to have the vision to begin to restore. What you do past that I can’t imagine…unless it’s to grow in unity and let the Spirit work…
There has to come a point where at least someone sees it’s not working and dares to stand up and say so. Someone has to eventually say, but where is the God of Paul?.?!
Yes. The act of God continuing to sanctify us A lifetime project. Until we see him face to faceThat's got a lot to do with how we get there.
Yes! Suffering is God's gift to us to pry us away from fleshiness. And it works! For the child of God.
James 1:2-4 KJV
2) My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3) Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4) But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
Let's fully believe this, and when suffering comes, as it will, and does, that we might be truly grateful! Thanking God for the work He is doing for us through our suffering changes the entire aspect of that suffering. I mean, pain still hurts, but we are not our bodies, we can rejoice in God's love, and be thankful regardless.
I don't mean to say it's easy, or anything like that. But as He builds our faith, we learn how to remain unmoved.
Much love!
You only need prophets if the word of God is incomplete.I’m not a prophet and no one else is unless they are a false prophet. Prophets went by the wayside along with the Apostles at the same time.
You quote scriptures out of contextyou have not listened to Me,” declares the Lord, “in order that you might provoke Me to anger with the work of your hands to your own harm.
They have turned back to the iniquities of their ancestors who refused to hear My words
All I’ve heard here is the work of men’s hands.
NopeWhat you have done is given all control to men. God is not allowed to appoint, anoint or send anyone out. Only men get to do that. No Holy Spirit. Which brings us back to what Epi said - what you think is a church is definitely not. It’s just men dressed in suits who other men approve of…
Says the one who blindly follows a MANI thank God He didn’t allow what men have done to you to happen to me.
How can one be a christian walking wiht God and fail to assemble together like Paul commanded them to?I’ve never even GONE to a church except a handful of times and even I can see you aren’t going by scripture…
You aren’t listening. I have never walked in the Spirit. Then were is your power?
Oh well, Christophany fixed that. The only prophets today are false ones. Problem solved.Thats how a lot of cults got started. False teachers who called themselves prophets.
But hey, God told us in these days there would be many
then you should not be in here trying to teach people or tell them anything about God.You aren’t listening. I have never walked in the Spirit.
