Yes, "reading it" and not "discerning it", is what caused CULTS to appear.
Its what causes 1.) unbelievers and 2.) believers to end up in Hell,(unbeliever) or with Broken Faith.(believers).
The bible is not a Toy.'
Its a Sword, its a Spiritual Book, and it'll rip your head off and have you in a mental issue, if you play with it, and not discern it.
The reason a person believes they can "lose their salvation" and a reason that they are in a "cult" is because they CAN'T DISCERN the Spiritual words in a HOLY BIBLE.

It certainly can be dangerous, for those who read it and reject it. VERY dangerous!

If anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
IE: HELL FIRE FOREVER!

Personally I don't read, study or use the book of revelation these days. So I don't have to think about adding or taking away from John's writing in his scroll, now, book.
I'm happy to hear from the same source from Whom he received his revelation.

Col 1 By Jesus all things were created. There's ONLY one Creator in the Bible, God / Jesus.
Is this what the Spirit of God revealed to you in the last 20 minutes? You can say with absolute certainty that this is what He said to you to say to me, You are getting Satanic revelations!
Out of interest, what is the bible specifically revealing to you about me in particular? I'm all ears.
Again, I thought I was asking you a simple question that those with the Spirit of God within them can clear up fairly quickly. It's not whether you know me well enough to make that judgment, but you can go to the One Who does, Who knows me intimately. What is the Holy Spirit within, saying to you specifically and directly in regards to me getting Satanic revelations?
